Very comfortable and affordable. Wish i'd taken a swimsuit with me!!! Restaurant was very cold. Did not have all the variety stated on the breakfast menu especially the continental cheeses and meats. But i'm just being picky!! Had a lovely stay. Would have liked to have had a price list in the room of the spa treatments as I might then have treated myself. |

The Murrayfield Hotel & Lodge was a wonderful hotel, it was nice and clean with an excellent bar and dining room! The room was flawless and wonderfully decorated and the bathroom was clean and extremely spacious. The staff were most helpful and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and the waiting staff were wonderful. It was in a marvelous location, just a five minute bus ride onto Princes St and the buses were extremely reliable, no complaints at all really, simply a great hotel! |

A very good selection of food for Breakfast Very small shabby room, bed pushed up against outside wall under a window that was running with condensation Old desk with broken drawer that fell out onto my foot when opened which had to be used as a dressing table. Not possible to read in room as lighting was very poor.Light did not work over the mirror in the rbathroom, shower over the bath, bath mat not supplied. The room was nothing like the twin standard room that is shown on the hotel's website .Will not stop at this place again. This is the first time I have used bookings .com and will not book with you again if this is the standard of hotel you recommend. . |

The breakfast was nice once I realised how it worked! For the price it is represents excellent value. It would have been nice to have been greeted in the Breakfast room and had it explained that breakfast was laid out in the other half of the room. I was left to my own devices to choose a table and discover for myself where the cooked breakfast selection was. The view from my room was pretty unpleasant, so it was a good job it was dark most of the time I was there! The shower wouldn't stop running once started. |

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food in the restaurant and service was very good. Excellent location for Murrayfield stadium. The room was warm and very clean The room we had was in the Lodge and a peculiar 'L' shape and quite small. The single beds were only 2' 6" wide whilst the norm in most of the twin rooms in hotels we have stayed in have been a minimum of 3' wide. |

This hotel takes booking in the name murrayfield hotel but on arrival we were told our room was actually in the murrayfield lodge a seperate building 75yards along the road this building is badly needing upgrading ie strong smell of damp and damp patches on walls and ceillings room was advertised as double and did have double bed but was far to small and cramped we ask for a refund 5mins after arrival but eventually accepted an room in the main hotel which was had recently been refurbished clean tidy but poorly finnished so be warned overpriced and not as advertised |

Very good location, plenty of buses going into city centre. Room clean and adequate. Staff friendly once you got their attention. Breakfast buffet was not organised. They kept running out of food which meant you were kept waiting for some time. This put us off attending the evening meal. |

Excellent breakfast, good bar food and nice helpful staff, exellent bus service to city centre in 10 mins. This is our third visit and only the room disappointed us. 50 stairs to room, a shower which only dribbled scalding water or was cold ( top room) and a bed and room which shook like a mini earth quake every time a heavy vehicle or bus passed by on the main road. The room was described as ' bright' but was actually as dark a room as I could imagine though it was clean and well refurbished in very dark colours. I think there are better, newer and lower rooms than number 23 and I shall ask for one if I am to stay again which I probably will. |

We got the executive suite and the condition of the room and cleanliness was spot on. My wife and I enjoyed our self service breakfasts as there were many things to choose from. It was also nice to visit the Zoo as this was only a 15 min walk away. If anything the reception workers lacked a little 'service with a smile'. but that it being very fussy. |
