The Hotel is very clean. Our room (201) was spotless and obviously not long refurbished. The beds were extremely comfy and there was the obligatory fresh coffee sachets/teas/biscuits in the room too. Room 201 was surprisingly free of traffic noise, considering that the hotel on the main Corstorphine Road, approx 300 metres from Murrayfield Stadium & 15 mins by bus (30 min walk to City Centre.(This road is also on the route to Edinburgh airport so again ideal). Room 201 was on the ground floor and had a large wet-room making it perfect for disabled users. Free WiFi in the rooms was a good speed.
Nothing to dislike. A superb stay!
The bathroom which was spotless with The White Company soaps and lotions.
room a little chilly as it was so big with only one radiator. The blind in the bathroom was damaged. the room was in need of an update with cheap furniture not in keeping with the age of the building.
Meals and Service
This is the second time within a few months I have stayed at this hotel, friendly staff and nothing is too much of a hassle.
Large well thought out room. Very large bed. Excellent value for money.
There was a noise outside the room which sounded like machinery. This was irregular and would srart and stop roughly every 10 minutes through the night. This made sllep very difficult.
Don't usually comment on these but have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel, I arrived late and the kitchen was closed but to my surprise the receptionist arranged for me to have something made for my arrival, Fish and chips was exactly what I was needing after my journey, Staff where great and very helpful. would defiantly recommend this to others as a great hotel to stay in.
Great hotel, excellent value for money and great food.
The room in the original part f the building was very cold even with the heating on.
location ,friendliness of staff
All of it
nothing we did not like
Hotel was very good. Nice room with lovely walk-in shower. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast choice. Easy to get bus (stop outside) or tram near rugby stadium into town. Boffy bar in hotel is very nice. Would definitely stay again.
We were there for a 50th. Delicious Club Sandwich on arrival. Super party facilities. Slept well.
The rates, the food, the experience as always!
Fantastic value for money, didn't expect the high standard!lovely building!!Bar&restraunt staff very friendly!!
Just one thing, the girl on Reception seemed very disinterested and not very friendly.
The room was spacious with a very comfy large bed. Ate in the Bothy - good value for money and enjoyed the meal.
Downside was the noise from maybe a generator outside our bedroom window which was very noisy overnight. Then a cleaner started to hoover etc in a conference room next to the bedroom from 7.30am. En-suite was huge but as it was for a disabled person the shower was very awkward to use because of the chair on the wall.
bedroom amazing , comfortable stay throughout 2 days , great location , excellent facilities and food
We love the room. It is very comfortable! The bathroom is amazing and clean, although the water was running properly during my stay.
This is a fabulous hotel. Spotless, comfortable, and with such nice staff!
The hotel was lovely and staff were fantastic!! A real homely feeling. The breakfast was fresh and lovely quality of food served. While we where there we ate at the bothy restaurant having and evening meal and also partaking in afternoon tea ! Highly recommend a stay 10/10
Everything about our stay was great. This was our second stay and will be back.
I liked the way the hotel is it has a very warm welcome from the staff the room was excellent the bed was very big and very comfortable the food was excellent we came to see a show and the hotel made the weekend a great success we will be back again so thanks for a marvellous weekend
We where very happy with your hotel the only thing I would change is the hidden door from the dinning room to the bedrooms
The decor in the room is lovely The staff were friendly The restaurant served us simple, tasty food.
The room was a little smaller than it looked in the pictures. A few stains on the carpert and scuffs on walls let the room down a bit especially as it has been decorated so well.
helpful staff, free parking very important regarding a city
would of liked more of a continental breakfast to be offered
Evening meals were very good. Staff took the trouble to leave me a birthday card when I said that we were coming to celebrate my birthday. Selection of craft beer and variety of whiskies available. Staff were very friendly and anxious to please.
Breakfasts were not near the standard of the evening meals and the bacon was burnt both days. It would be helpful if the hotel explained that they 400 metres from the tram station at Murrayfield stadium. The station is adjacent to the south east corner of the stadium and the hotel is on Corstorphine Road. The hotel could do with redecoration is some areas.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent as was the service. I would book here again for ant future visits.
