Could have had a bit more pressure from the shower.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, offering an excellent service. Room was a little bit on the small side but all the facilities were good and the food in the restaurant was very good.
Room 11 is very small, comfortable but pretty neat. Bed was length of the room. I estimate the room was only 8 ft by 12 feet, the shower and bathroom were good newly refurbished.
Convenient, friendly, good food easy access, and the refurbishment is great. The Bothy is good value and great food.
Pillows hard Breakfast average
Nice room , very nice staff Great value. Excellent location
Bad reception on tv, kept blocking and informed reception but nothing they could do :(. The windows let in the noise from the traffic being single glazed. Could hear running water like the radiator wanted to keep filling up but it was turned off :(. Not enough choice at breakfast for family.
Loved the spacious room with high comfy beds. Very clean with free tea/coffee and water.
Poor selection of cereals and fruit at breakfast.
Had a fab weekend staying at murrayfield hotel, staff were really helpful and the room was perfect, exactly what we needed! Decor in the room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Bit of a walk to town but buses are very regular and cheap.
Room 201 was very noisy because of home-coming other guests in the middle of the night, kind of ventilation or aeration (sounds like a washing machine, we couldn't really identify what it was) going on throughout the night. We will definitely refuse this room for our next stay.
Friendly staff, very nice breakfast, location very close to bus stops.
Friendly staff, generous breakfast, high spec room
Decor in room was a bit dated
Free parking and food
Very surprised to find at breakfast no Weetabix or similar healthy cereal and to my absolute amazement a Scottish hotel that does not serve porridge at breakfast, there were no sweeteners available throughout my stay......I did ask how they look after their Diabetic clients and those on special diets but the poor waitress didn't have an answer and I did feel for her as these seem to be regular questions.
The Room was spacious and very well stocked and extremely comfortable. Close proximity to Edinburgh Centre and airport.
The smell of the paint in my room. Sorry but I can't think of another two sentences describing my dislikes:)
Almost everything about the room and the hotel itself. Of course one could do better with lifts, but I was very pleased to be offered assistance from the staff. Extremely good location in terms of bus stops (both the city and the airport directions), just a few steps. Fantastic pub/restaurant - deliscious meals, polite and helpful staff, positive, vibrant energy.
Definitely need more than one person serving breakfast, cooked food cold, and would be nice to have a pot of coffee instead of small cup.
Close to city, nice bar and very pleasant staff.
Staff were very friendly, location was great, rooms comfortable and clean - altogether a great stay
Central location with easy parking, helpful/friendly staff, good breakfast & excellent malt whisky in the bar !
The staff at the restaurant must have had a bad day.
The decor and the sorroundings where perfect.
The function meant we did not get much sleep and the breakfast waitress was really not good at all. However the receptionist in the morning was really lovely & very sympathetic
It's a nice hotel
Newly refurbed room, nice bar, excellent breakfast. Slightly surprised to be served by a uniformed waiter who was wearing Nike trainers, but in his defence, the service was quick
Very poor breakfast. Staff disorganised Tea weak and cold . No butter Tin tops on tables a bit of a shambles
Would like to have had a caffetier of coffee at breakfast.... or pot of tea. Tables a bit small though.
Took a gamble taking my granddaughter (11yrs) who was really wanting to see Pandas. Flew from London to a lovely welcome from Hotel staff, room ready early, nice White Company products in bathroom. Dinner excellent service friendly. Breakfast good. Perfect situation. And we saw both the Pandas!
We are a young couple and we were put in a room with an adapted bathroom for disabled guests. This wasn't a problem apart from the fact that the red cord alarm went off on Sunday morning without us touching it and we tried to press the off button but this didn't work. The hotel staff couldn't switch this off either so this was a bit unpleasant for the 20 minutes or so it was sounding. This was through no fault of the staff but would ask for a bathroom with a bath next time I think. The worst part of the stay was an incredibly rude member of the restaurant staff who pushed us out of the restaurant on Saturday morning. There was a rugby game on so I understand that they were busy however the staff member sharply told us to leave and that "we should have has a letter" informing us that breakfast finished an hour early. However we took the letter to reception which stated Sundays breakfast was finishing early, not Saturday, to a lovely guy who stated that our letter was wrong but we couldn't have breakfast. Because of the way this man spoke to us and helped us I didn't mind popping down the road for a bacon roll however the way the older male staff member in the restaurant spoke to us has really put me off. We paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel and although I understand the staff were very busy a change of tone and offering a solution might have helped. The staff member on reception was excellent though and arranged for our breakfast to be refunded.
Location was ideal, room was very clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Reception staff were fantastic and very helpful.
The room was Amazing, maybe it is the best hotel I've never stayed at. It's located not so far from the city center (we often reached it on foot). Staff was also friendly and helpful. I will book here again when I come back to this wonderful city.
I believe the hotel were in the process of doing some refurbishments, which is good because there were several chips and dents in the walls and doors of the room. The bed was a bit lumpy and you could hear the springs in the mattress.
The room was spacious and the bathroom facilities were great. Very close to several bus stops with regular buses to take you to the city. Quiet location.
