Unbelievable - you are not permitted to wear round neck t-shirts, denims or trainers in the dining room! - What century is the hotel management living in? This sort of nonsense is not acceptable in a hotel which costs significantly more than £100 per night. It might be acceptable for a golf club - where you choose whether or not to join a club but in a hotel to arrive and find this written in the information pack in the bedroom is ridiculous. If I had arrived earlier in the afternoon I would have left immediately - I have no wish to support this sort of establishment and I suggest unless you support 'dress codes' in hotels you also avoid staying there.

Food in the Restaurant was superb, staff were very friendly and the grounds were beautifully manicured.

Eventhough the room we had was great it wasn't the one that we booked. We were under the impression we were getting a fridge and microwave.

We stayed for my partners birthday and the staff couldn't have been better. Calling round the tourist board and places they knew of to try organise her dream kayaking trip. The rooms, meals and staff were faultless. We cannot wait to return as soon as we can. Beautiful grounds, helpfull and attentive staff, great food ( especially the steak!) and a lovely drinks menu. 10/10 on all!

The surroundings and the fact that they take dogs at no extra charge.

It would have been nice if we had been allowed to sit with our dog in one of the area's in the hotel instead of restricting her to the room. A sheet on the bed on the hot nights would have been welcomed !

Fantastic location perfect for a relaxing break. Staff friendly and attentive. Suite was spacious and clean.

Only negative for me was no free Wi-if in main hotel and in our suite Wi-if was not available. This is a small negative on what was a lovely break.

The perfect location if you enjoy a game of golf.We played both golf courses and enjoyed every hole. The hotel and staff were excellent and the junior suit we stayed in was worth every penny.

We were in the Murray room & it was lovely & spacious.

Didn't like that the wifi wasn't included, it was a charge of £7 a day, I would of thought a 4* hotel would give you wifi free gratis!

We were given an upgrade to an exterior suite, which we initially welcomed as the accomlodation was spacious, luxurious and attractive. However, we were plagued throughout our stay with problematic plumbing which produced earsplitting noises when the lavatory was flushed, varying in sound from a loud, deep siren to a high pitched scream. It was extremely off-putting, stressful and embarrassing in that we felt guilty for disturbing our fellow guests in the rooms above. W feel sure that this must have been a problem for some time and were annoyed to think that staff would knowingly allocate rooms to guests in this condition.

Location, good golf course, grand views

it is all looking a bit tired - the main drawing room has a very dated feel to it, and the superior room we were allocated needed redecorated and either recarpeted or the exisitng carpet tightened - rumpled and a bit worn (bit like us).The ensuite was fine but again tired and needing a refresh. The food was good enough but very limited choices.

The location is excellent, provided you like to be in the country, with big views towards the Grampian mountains. The staff are attentive and very friendly. The restaurant and bars are comfortable, spacious and well served. The rooms are comfortable.

WiFi is crucial when away from home for checking the next place to eat, to stay or play golf. The internet is available at a cost and NOT in every room. Not good.

Location, comfort, and lack of noise.

Limited dinner menu, poor service at breakfast with some food poorly cooked. Curtains not lined allowing too much light into room.
