Warm welcomed by the owner Excellent bed. Slept very well all nights. Clean sheets and towels. Nice shower. Excellent breakfast. Excellent location.
Small adjust in the breakfast time will allow everybody eat in the room where there are nice tables.
Location. Price. Decoration.
Bathroom is quite small. There was no cleaning of the room during the whole stay 3 days and that wasn't specified in advance. Wife connection was not very good at room.
Would have liked tea or coffee in the room so we could get early morning tea in the room before showering and going down for breakfast
could come and go as i wanted shower excellent as lot of places have dribbly ones. continental brekkie suited me and very healthy if one was going to have a scotch pie later.
Can't think of anything.
Location & convenience to Airport, Airlink, Tram & Train across the street Nice neighbourhood with M&S, Starbucks and eateries Can walk into Old Town & to Prince Street House was contemporary interior and nicely furnished Loved my room No.5 with box window bed, compact, functional, with nice ensuite Loved the key in the hole in the wall (individual key lockers) collection point. Nice common areas, kitchen, front sitting room tranquil and well kept
Do hear people overhead going up or downstairs
very friendly & helpful personal clean & modern bathroom, although small good breakfast
I would be good to be informed about the general check-in procedure more in advance (I was travelling the days before and I did not have always internet access).
The Polish staff who appeared at breakfast. Buffet brekky.
The tattyness. Cracked tiles in bathroom. Blinds that didn't work. No kettle in room. More like a hostel. VERY cramped at brekky. No reception.
Value for money, comfortable good facilities very clean and relaxing hotel.
Was a bit surprised that payment was made at time of booking over a week before arriving.
The staff was very helpful and friendly
I stayed for 3 nights and am glad I did. The staff are there when you want them and are determined that you enjoy your stay. You can have as much as you like for breakfast. The place is spotless and, for the price, ideally situated to walk to Princes Street and near the bus or tram stops if you want them. You have your own key to the front door and can come and go as you please. I had a nice view out of my window over gardens and a nice big shower in a compact ensuite bathroom.
I was a little shocked at first to see that I might be sharing a table at breakfast, but actually it was fine and 2 out of 3 mornings I had the big table all to myself. I just made sure that people thought I had enjoyed myself too much the night before to talk to anyone .
Next to Haymarket Station, tramstops and busstops - good connections to centrum and airport. Modern bathroom. Breakfast included.
The location is faultless being as it is just yards from Haymarket station. The mattress was firm and comfortable. My croissant at breakfast was tasty.
Hmmm. Where to start. Shower door does not shut properly and the tiles have risen away from the wall. Soap dispenser was filthy. Double duvet on a king size quilt. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Towels were worn and slightly damp. Breakfast, apart from the croissant was ridiculous with only warm water available for instant coffee as the coffee machine was empty. There were a few slices of bread to toast in a toaster that took forever to heat up. I was lucky to get my croissant as there were only two left. The price at £90 is way over the odds for what you get. When this was still the Glenora we had exactly the same room at a fraction of the price with tea and coffee in the room and a hot option for breakfast.
Excellent location, very close to the center and the bus stop for the airport almost in front of the doors. Very friendly staff, felt very welcome, great breakfast, comfortable bed and room. Definitely will come back.
Convenient for busses and trams. Only ten minutes walk to the centre.
No parking spaces. Had to park on the street and pay at a meter. Blinds in the window of the room did not work, room was basic.
Rooms were very clean comfortable. Beds cosy and plenty of pillows. In a great location. Continental breakfast but lots of it. Tea and coffee available day and night in the lounge. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Close to rail station and bus and tram stops
Nothing. But there is a lot of stairs so no good for disabled
The family room has a mini kitchen. Bed is good.
everything is excellent
The place was very quiet and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. Everything was great!
Just across the street from Haymarket train station, warm and welcoming homey inn! The best was enjoying my tea sitting on the window seat.....
The firm bed was a little less comfortable than anticipated....:(
The location and staff
Breakfast was very cramp not enough room and a not alot of choice
My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved the hotel. It's in an excellent location, literally 30 seconds walk from Haymarket train station and about 15 minutes walk into Edinburgh itself. The hotel is great value for money and with a great selection of food for breakfast, you can't go wrong! We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. Also, the room was beautiful and very clean.. 5 stars from us!
Very friendly, very good facilities. The kind of environment it provides is actually you feel like home. Great place to stay...
-Clean, comfortable room, though slightly small -Decent value for money -breakfast included in price, was pretty good. -luggage storage area
-a bit noisy, can hear the pipes/showers on floors above and other guests entering/exiting the hotel -check-in felt a bit stressful since there was no staff on site. I received the email from the owner detailing instructions to retrieve my keys from the lockbox outside, but I encountered many guests who arrived without this information and were stuck outside without keys and without anyone to help them. -wifi was not accessible from my room. I had to sit in the common areas downstairs, quite close to the router box in order to use the internet -website said that toiletries were supplied but they were not
The breakfast was fairly good.
The room was over hot, the towel rail heating unit did not work, the toilet did not flush, the shower door did not close completely and the green light over the door was like a massive night light that felt like torture during the dark night.
spacious room and facility is good
carpet is not clean. the breakfast is bad
