I really want to recommend this flat!!
Close to venue, compact but comfortable, very clean, friendly communication
Not the classiest area but, again, suited our needs
I liked the location of the venue as it was ideal for walking into town and right next to Merchant city where there is a lot of bars.the owners were very polite and accommodation us in our stay.would definitely recommend.
property very well positioned for the town and conference centre. There is a bus stop outside and the taxis are quite cheap. The supermarket over the road was a real bonus. Thanks for the great service!!
Alasma and Yasmin were charming, helpful and faultless. Great response time with comms, and empathetic over travel arrangement adjustments. Very nice folks indeed - a pleasure to deal with them, and we wish them well.
Property at 332 Gallowgate is in a grubby tenement building. Keep your eyes shut when you traverse the entry area to the apartment. There is no lift in the building, so expect to hump your gear up steep stairs. Apartment 103 is a very average unit. The layout includes a step-up from the living area to a very small kitchen platform. A perfect candidate for a slip and damaged ankle/leg. If you stay here, be sure your health insurance is up-to-date.
Apartment was in walking distance from shopping, eateries and tourist highlights
The people who own the apartment were very friendly and didn't mind coming over early on check out day which really helped out with getting back home. I was a pleasant stay and I would stay there again next time I go to Glasgow.
You don't get a receipt for your deposit, but you do get it back if you don't do any damage so its not that much of a big deal if you look after the place.
The apartment was comfortable
Location, and they wanted payment in cash
Clean and tidy with free WiFi, just the right size for a small family and very handy having Morrisons across the road for tea, milk and bread etc. Staff were very pleasant and especially understanding when we accidentally caused damage to the flat (I am still very embarrassed... sorry again!)
If you don't know Glasgow the location may seem a little bleak but you are only 5 minutes walk into town and public transport links to other parts of the city are excellent
Close to the supermarket.
Filthy complex. Had to pay £5 for parking space that was littered with broken glass and a sanitary napkin. Uneven path into apartment was difficult for my elderly mother and disabled son. The linen did not fit the bed making an uncomfortable night. Limited utensils in the kitchen draw, no egg flip or tongs. Only two bath towels for three people on first night, only got third when I said I would buy my own!
Great location & brilliant for the price, def recommend it! Also directly facing the Hoops Bar, very
Liked the location as it was central to most places. Staff were very friendly. Was a lovely little apartment and worth the money. Very modern and clean
Upstairs neighbours extremely noisy till silly o clock in the morning. Had to buy an oven dish to use the oven as there were only saucepans and frying pans to cook with.
I didn`t personally stay at the property, only booked the place for my family. However i handled all the correspondences until they got to they place. The owner of this property is a very proactive and supportive person. Family won`t stop talking about the amount of support they got from him during their stay as well. I will recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow.
Absolutely nothing. The whole experience was ruined because the owner is a con artist.
Do not stay here. A group of three of us decided to book one night in this flat to go to radio ones big weekend, and travelled all the way from London. On arrival they asked for £100 deposit in cash. They gave us no proof paying this deposit and I didn't feel very confident giving it to them, but we needed somewhere to stay. On leaving, the lady who checked us out told me to send her my bank details and that they would refund the deposit. A week later I contacted them to find out what had happened, when they said they would not be refunding our deposit (that was more expensive than the room for the night) because they claimed we were smoking and that we had a party. Even though none of us smoke and we know no one in Glasgow to have a party with, they still will not refund the deposit. Clearly 3 people watching tv and talking to each other on a Saturday night is considered a party. It is clearly a money making scheme, unless you expect to pay double the price of the room - do not stay here!!! It's located in a really rough part of Glasgow in a council like flat. I wish we had stayed somewhere else, but unfortunately because Glasgow was busy that evening for the festival we didn't have much choice. The owner is very dishonest, do not give them a deposit!!!!!!! I wish I had read the earlier reviews. Clearly the good reviews have been made by their friends.
Lovely clean apartment with fully equipped everything you need eg nice clean cooker, fridge, bathroom, cooking utensils, Wi-Fi, tv & plenty fresh.towels etc. Staff were very very helpful & nice. Also directly accross from morissons so it's ideal for self catering. Staff were also flexible with accommodating my request for slightly earlier check in time.
Nothing really I was satisfied with my stay
Avoid this apartment. Reasons for this: unsuitable area, horrible stairs, very unsafe front door to the flat (the door shakes with the slightest movement and there is a gap to outsidw when locked- seemed as it could easily be shoved open), loud neighbours, it is listed as a 10 minute walk to the city but is in fact a 30 minute walk, etc. We decided we did not want to stay there when we arrived, due mainly to the front door and area, yet we felt intimidated to hand over the cash as were told they had our bank account/card numbers and were not given our money back. As two young females we felt very uncomfortable as when we phoned and asked to leave, the man in charge said he was coming into the apartment in 5 minutes as it was his right. Overall we lost our payment for 3 nights and only received our deposit back. Would advise people not to stay here.
The apartment was suitably located for our needs and the staff were very polite and extremely helpful. Overall a very tidy and conveniently located apartment.
The fully equipped kitchen was not as fully equipped as expected, and could have done with a few more utensils and cutlery items
There is a huge supermarket right across the street
Warning! To be avoided at any rate. The pictures on booking.com do not correspond to the reality of the apartment's cleanliness. It is the dirtiest place we have ever seen. Windows through which you could not see anything, condoms and dirt under bed, used sheets and dirty towels, kitchenware in which it was impossible to cook because of scratches and dirt. As for the bathroom, especially the toilet, you don't want to know... The apartment is also located in a rather unsafe part of Glasgow, with a lock on the entrance door that was barely holding. If however you still decide to stay there (!), take your time to check the apartment thoroughly before you give any money when you check in, otherwise it is very difficult to get anything back. Also be sure to ask for a receipt both for the amount of the stay and for the deposit. And if anything goes wrong, be sure to contact booking.com from your first day there, as it was advised in our case.
The location was ideal as I was attending a course in Abercromby business centre. During the night it was quiet until the buses started which was ok for me as I am an early riser.
The internal bin store.
The owners were really lovely, made me feel very welcome and explained everything thoroughly. The apartment was immaculate throughout, very clean and well decorated. Made me wish I was staying longer than one night.
A bit difficult to find but this was my fault, as I walked from the station on the wrong side of the road. Note to self, 332 Gallowgate is on the left hand sie of the road!
The staff were very accomadting and very helpful, the apartment was very warm and comfy With lots of hot water, we stayed 2 nights and were very happy with the apartment we would stay again, it has private parking for free and is right next to a huge morrisons.
Loved the location , Great for concerts at Barrowlands , handy for City centre . Very quiet at night . Check-in and Check-out great . yasmin was very helpful . Lovely Fresh Bedding.
Could be cleaner in Living -kitchen area .
Apartment nicely decorated and well equipped -just a can opener would have been useful.Yasmin who greeted us very helpful and Affie also very concerned that we had a good stay.Thank you
The area of Glasgow we stayed in was a bit lacking in good bars and restaurants so be prepared to walk 10-15 minutes for a night out.
