Very helpful staff. The bedroom had no draws, no wardrobe and no space for storage. There was no arm chair (the only chair was moulded plastic upright). Small bed. Transparent door on shower with direct view from bedroom; and translucent door on toilet. Generally small and uncomfortable. The cost of £175 per night (plus £25 for parking) was poor value

Hotel location superb. Staff very friendly, breakfast was excellent. Rooms not as large as they seem online, and biggest complaint for me was that the window looked out onto a white wall, although the hotel is set in a very charming area of Brighton with better scenery than that.

Rooms were individually decorated, had mood lighting and was fun to be in. Stayed on the second floor and could not hear any noise from outside or from the cocktail bar downstairs which is what I had originally feared. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I managed to order flowers through the hotel at the last minute which they delivered to my room at my set time which just added to the romance of this place. I did not like the fact you had to pay for car parking. As a guest of the hotel which the car parking is exclusively for I was paying the rate of £25 a night which is the same as the ncp public parking.

The staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel was well situated. The toilet door was the wrong way round i.e. you can see in from the outside rather than see out from the inside. No armchair to sit on and read unless you wantd to lie across the window. No drawers or shelves to out clothes.

Nice design; nice attached cafe and bar. TV remote control didn't work; thought room might have been slightly bigger.

At first I was disappointed when shown our room - tiny and in need of painting. Colour was terrrible lime green with spot lights at the bedside! As it was a feng shui hotel felt robbed! However, told reception and was offered another choice of two rooms. Took a discounted upgrade to larger pink room - fantastic colour, lovely mood lighting and bay window. Speakers in the ceiling fantasic. Really enjoyed our stay. The bed was amazing and best mattress I've slept on! No noise from bar, reception staff friendly.

Functional, clean, modern, surprisingly quiet upstairs away from the mayhem of the bar area. The reception staff and breakfast staff were v ery helpful and pleasant. the hotel does not offer either a comfortable chair in the rooms, nor an area where I could sit comfortably to read and relax. Downstairs in the evening was intimidating. I was overall disappointed having spent £404 for 3 nights!

I was checked in by a chap named Norris (I think that's what he said) and he was very efficient, polite and diligent. The other staff were all helpful and friendly when I spoke to them. I have stayed at this hotel before back in February and I enjoyed my stay so much, I had to return. If in Brighton again in the near future, I will definitely return for a third visit. I missed not having the breakfast/room service this time around as I do love having breakfast delivered when staying in hotels. Also, the TV would not tune into BBC1 or BBC2 and the reception was a little fuzzy when I used the DVD player.

Innovative, appealing design and layout of room. Modern decor, meditative lights and colors, clean rooms and fresh linen made this a very pleasant and relaxing stay here. Could hear noise from Jubilee St. Below my window. Also street lights could not be blacked out by the window pull-down screen.

Reception staff really friendly. Cocktail bar, friendlyservice, good atmosphere, excellent cocktails Really well-maintained interesting fish-tanks in public areas, and wildlife videos in bar General well thought out and well cared-for atmosphere Room felt fresh and individual, but see below. Location fantastic in the middle of the interesting bit of Brighton. The fresh and funky room layout created a nice initial impression, but had practical faults The bathroom area had no door, and a window into the rest of the room where a mirror would normally be, above the sink. The loo cubicle within the bathroom area is only separated by a very lightly- frosted glass swing door, with a big hole by way of a handle. This clearly creates issues if you have any desire for privacy (after twenty years if marriage I still like a basthroom door which isn't see- through), it also makes it impossible to use the bathroom during the night without waking your partner, especially as the relevant light switch is on the opposite side of the room. Overall, actual practical comfort seemed to have been sacrificed to funky aesthetics.

Great location , nr the lanes, walking distance to main shops/beach,, nice in house bar, simple clean good size room, comfy bed. Good complimenrty tea coffee pack, resonably priced mini bar, modern decor Room 286 , the bathroom was quite exposed, only an unsealed frosted door to the tiolet !, which we laughed about, so would say you need to be quite familiar with your room partner!!! At times there was quite alot of padestrian noise from the street,,(right hand window wasnt sealed properly) but didnt really bother us... Its not an ipod dock, you require a lead.

- Interesting designs of rooms - Good I-Pod dock and speaker system. The music seemed to come through the ceiling! - Very good location - Very clean room - Big, powerful shower! - Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. - The tv wasn't great sound/picture quality and only had a few freeview channels.

The reservation was a gift for my daughter and her boyfriend and they loved it and said we shoudl stay too. They said the staff were very helpful and the bar staff were good at making cocktails! They loved the room and music system and would stay again in another room. Thank you for looking after them for me. Kind regards Joanne The only issue was parking as the reservation said you could not book a parking space in advance but when they arrived they were told they needed to book in advance. However, the ncp discount was greatly appreciated.
