Lovely spacious room, nice and clean everywhere. Loved the room/bathroom set up.
Pillows not soft enough.
The lighting and decor themes
The room overlooked the neighbouring Carluccios, so much so that we could see exactly what people in the busy resturant were tucking into to dinner.
Pleasant/helpful staff. Bright, cheery and fresh contemporary, interior and apartment. Excellent cleanliness level. Plenty of provisions in apartment.. Mini bar, fridge and bathroom, with fresh (bit heavy) bathrobes and new slippers. Really comfy beds.
Some items in rooms were not very ergonomic eg chairs.. Could not grip to move easily. Room was cold on arrival and then it got a bit too hot and stuffy/non opening window. Floor to ceiling window awkward for privacy when blind was up/overlooked domestic back yards in close proximity. Ordered pizzas and had to collect from reception.. Deliverer not allowed up to room :/, which was awkward because we weren't dressed appropriately for public area.. In pj's. My daughter booked a special birthday breakfast for a specific time to arrive with my flowers, but they completely forgot, so we had to rush breakfast once sorted as we had massage booked. Frosted glass doors on shower and toilet lacked privacy.
Style is modern, nice big windows, next to Tesco, cafes and restaurants
Uncomfortable pillows, mattress and duvet. Pathetic breakfast.
The cost of parking my car
Everything brilliant weekend
Location Merkabar Overall general modern feel to the hotel
Rude reception staff Tiny "double beds" View of a wall Sewage smell from the shower See through shower and toilet doors Overpriced
i had one negative the room was a little on the chilly side
Everything was on your doorstep little hard to find as logo is green with white writing in the sun it's hard to find but when found was easy to get back to. Overall my stay was great cocktail bare was good prices little high but it's not everyday you do this so overall I would come back soon
Location staff door security very easy going
Location was great, near everything. Good shower, good beds, charming staff. Good selection of cafes and restaurants at hand.
Breakfast one day was not great. TV reception and choice of channels could be better.
Our room took a while to heat up and the bar downstairs was cold. I needed to keep my jacket on.
Location, Location, Location! It's proximity to The Lanes, bars, restaurants, The Pavilion, seafront, is just perfect! The hotel bar is wonderful. Great atmosphere, cocktails and music. Perfect place to start the evening. Having a Tesco Metro directly opposite in very handy.
Mini bar is really expensive, but that is to be expected.
Friendly staff Great location
friendly staff, great bar. quirky modern rooms & nice atmosphere & with booking.com a great deal.
bar a bit pricey.
Great service, very trend led room, which was also very comfortable. Perfect location, and the hotel has one of the best Indian restaurants and one of the best cocktail bars in Brighton located beneath it.
I didn't appreciate having to pay for the in-room dental kits which was a bit miserly and I also would have been upset with such a basic shower facility (though it looked cool) had I paid full price.
Location was central Comfy Bed Modern Décor Friendly Staff Spacious room
TV channel selection
The staff are very good, friendly and efficient. Great location for resteraunts, bars etc. Very quirky
open plan bathroom arrangement not great. If a light sleeper, choose above first floor.
Funky, different hotel. Nice bar and good coffee shop. Set right in heart of north lanes - perfect location
Bathroom in the room and not many toiletries supplied. Quite a cold room.
Excellent location for shopping and entertainment.
Bar prices were too expensive
First class service and facilities. Highly recommended
Clean, funky rooms, we had a superior double and liked all the extras in the room, only the mini bar had to be paid for and it was plentiful! Didn't eat or drink in the hotel but all looked good. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Free wifi didn't work I our room. Reception gave us 4 different codes to try but none worked. In the end I got tired of trying and gave up. Rooms were slightly on the cool side and ac didn't go any higher. It was a cold day!
nite staff were very polite
hiya i was happy with hotel.. but up set with car park ..paid over £30.checked out off hotel..at 12noon ,,then asked if i could have 30mins extra to have lunch in hotel before drive back to london,, i was told NO,that i have to park in car park around corner, so we left and had lunch just out side off town,,with no car park.charges regards a s goddard
“Self-satisfied and uninformative - more style than substance” 1 of 5 starsReviewed 3 days ago NEW via mobile I was in Brighton for a 2-day conference near the hotel. On the second day, there was a lunch break at 1pm so I asked whether I could collect my bag and check out 1h late. But there was no possibility - 'checkout is at 12.' Other than at the desk/dressing table, the lighting in the room makes reading difficult, even if there were a comfortable place to sit. There are no instructions- eg for the TV/DVD player. I was puzzled by the minibar charges list as I could find no minibar. This was because the minimalist design of the door handle meant it merged into the wall. This meant that I found the safe, DVD player and minibar only halfway through my stay. Overall, a most disappointing experience. The design of the hotel and rooms... Very 1970's!!
After checking out at midday nowhere anywhere to sit quietly and read. Also shower very poor in contrast to the design of the room. Maybe larger double rooms were better?
Shower was excellent, bed was comfortable, wings on bed handy shelf!
Room looked onto a wall, toilet door was pretty much see through, loud air conditioner kept us awake all night. Decor is questionable
