Didn't see too much of the hotel as our room was right next to reception, but what I saw looked good.
Didn't like being quoted £150 per night but then being cherged £180 per night. Apparently I had to pay £30 per night for the breakfast I didn't have which I suppose would be fair enough if I had been told in advance but I wasn't.
staff were attentive and very polite; good to able to check out at 12 noon
the cost of lunch/breakfast/other meals seem expensive, although not convenient for us to take as we were elsewhere
Fantastic hotel in a brilliant location. Nice and quiet despite being right where you would want to be. Bedroom brilliant, much more than I was expecting and the bed was so comfy I didn't want to leave! Great check out/in times and staff very friendly. Will definitely be back!
The location of the hotel was good..very central
more of a cyber B&B then hotel was in a room next to a room of building works taking place I was also charged for use of the mini bar when I had not used anything and only discovered this when checking my credit card bill was not told this at check out!
I liked the unfussiness of the hotel - efficient staff, quick check-in and excellent location. Bed was also extremely comfortable and feather pillows = great.
Lack of noise insulation - being woken up at 7.00 a.m. by room service knocking on a neighbouring door, and thudding from the rooms above. The chipped tiles on the bathroom floor and grotty scratched bath tub.
gorgeous room, friendly and accommodating staff, v comfy bed!
Lovely hotel in a quiet street but close to all the best shops and restaurants on The King's Road and Sloan Square. Breakfast and dinner in the Italian restaurant in the hotel were excellent. There is also a raw food restaurant which we didn't try but seemed to be popular. The staff were charming and very helpful and efficient. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. We had a problem with the heating in our room the first night (too hot) but it was fixed very promptly by a very nice girl from reception.
Our door was tried in the middle of the night. We approached staff who said they would check it out and get back to us. This did not happen
Location and the restaurant which is good but not great . This hotel is not improving but getting more irfitating
The lack of a lounge area and the fact that the decoration seems to be trying to be style over substance . Facilities are basic . Showers a bit primitive . Staff not as friendly as they were . It all feels rather less than comfortable as if trying to be something it is not . After staying here many times and asking for a quiet room every time . There seems to be no effort in the allocation .
Super clean, warm,in a nice neighborhood
A little bir far from the tube and bus stations
Location was ideal, only a 10 minute walk to south Kensington Tube. Ideal for concerts at the Albert Hall. Very comfy bed, helpful staff, enjoyed our one night stay
Poor WiFi,breakfast seemed expensive at £19 each but then it is Chelsea. Some building work going on in room next door which was a little noisy
The hotel was within a 20 min walk of The Royal Albert Hall (the reason for our visit to London) and 5 minute walk from bus routes and restaraunts. The room was exceptionally comfortable - comfy bed, great pillows, great shower, big fluffy towels. It's situation was in a quiet street. In all a most pleasant stay! (Didnt eat in as we prefer to try the local restaraunts)
The room was not particularly spacious so no lounging space, you either sat at the desk or on the bed. (Not cramped though!!). Plenty of choice of tea and coffee but not eneogh milk for more than a cup of tea each!!
I miss the restroom with newspapers and computer & printer. It has turned out to be a restaurant and the hotell seems more like a bed and breakfast.
The oysters at Bibendum
Easy Walking to places we wanted to go to. Nice restaurants nearby. Vrery friendly & helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
The very warm and welcoming staff. The property that I had a confirmed reservation with was overbooked and London was full. 3.5 hours later I was able to relocate to this property. Not only were they very understanding to my situation as I was a long-haul traveller and although they could only accommodate me for 4 nights as opposed to the 6 required, they upgraded me to a very comfortable Junior Suite.
The exorbitant cost of telephone calls. It was approximately GBP 150.00 for an hour long call to a UK mobile phone and approximately GBP 50.00 for a 30 min land line call to a London telephone number. The cost of calls was not shown in the guest directory in the room.
Staff very friendly and useful / great sense of hospitality We spent a weekend in London and we were very happy and impress with the friendliness of the staff. The receptionists are very welcoming and professional. The location is great, it’s about 5 min walk from the South Kensington tube station.
Breakfast is very expensive.
Breakfast, close to South Kensington and King's road
not clean enough , small spaces
Very helpful staff. Junior suite provides plenty of room to relax.
We really enjoyed our 4-day stay in Mychelsea hotel. We were 3 persons, including our 9 year-old son. Hotel is situated 1 min walking from the Fulham road and 5 mins walking from the kings road in the heart of Chelsea. South Kensington tube is 5 mins walking. The neighborhood is amazing and very quite, therefore, we enjoyed our night sleep. Free wifi is always useful.
Rooms are not so big but you don't need to stay for long on the hotel when you are in London.
The first time in 5 years I visit London with my girlfriend on a highly recommended "my hotel" Chelsea, I am spoken to with great disrespect from a senior manager, to whom I'm simply asked in the kindest manor .... Hello, do you have any mints?. Most places either at the bar or when your leaving the Resturant sometimes have mints as they have sweets for children too. The managers response was " it's not a shop!" Spoken in such a condescending way in front of the whole Resturant. He then said "if you want a shop, goto a shop" obviously he lacks the very basics of customer service and clearly believes his wages are paid for in some other way, other than the contributing near £200 per night I spent. I decided to check out the morning after even though I'm staying in London for a few days. Thank you to those who did present themselves with the very basics of manors. Little did they know I hold a royal warrant for services to the queen.
Very good location. Close to tube and restaurants.
Lift didn't work - we got stuck in it twice despite feeding back to management the first time. WiFi was very difficult to keep working. Staff called us twice mistaking our room for another customer ( once at 6.15am).
Location, Friendster staff, very help full
Hotel was very clean and staff were nice.
Nightly rate was a bit more expensive than we're used to paying, but the hotel was well located for the activities we had planned.
