The hotel is stunning with quality rooms and a free leisure centre attached which was excellent. The hotel has delusions of grandeur, it promises the earth when you talk to its staff, but they don't deliver. Forty minute delays in the restaurant, food that is inedible or not what was ordered, and indifferent wine. I was expecting to pay through the nose in the bar and restaurant but I was also expecting quality food and service. The staff were scruffy and almost fast food like in their automaton responses, with little or no personal inniative or common sense being displayed.

Excellent rural environment. This is a very characterful hotel. The food in the restaurant is excellent. It is a pity that the management sought to charge £12 to take the cork out of my bottle of wine and provide wine glasses for the bottle I brought for the room. This is the type of thing that spoils what is otherwise a very good hotel. Also checkout is early at 10.30 and there is no flexility about this.

We particularly appreciated the free upgrade to a named room, which was spacious and had a sumptuous feel. I was aware when booking, that the decor was more traditional than we would normally select and we enjoyed the change, feeling comfortable and relaxed both in our room and the communal areas. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Nailcote Hall proved a good location for visiting our daughter at Warwick University. We had a memorable one night stay, that we wish had been longer and wish to return in the future. Well done, Nailcote Hall! Js from Cornwall The evening meal was presented as a 'special', offering three courses with a 'free' bottle of wine. It was presented effectively but I would have enjoyed a greater range of cooked vegetables or salad. We also felt that there were too many additional charges for a 'special'. However, we must emphasise that we enjoyed our meal and the friendliness of the waiters.

Friendly staff, nice clean room with a large comfortable bed. Good range of hotel facilities. Not a massive amount of soundproofing between rooms but not too bad and the room might have been a bit too warm if we actually experienced a hot summer. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room.

Friendly staff, lovely room albeit a bit noisy and good location Sadly, the downside was the dining room. When we entered there was nobody there to seat us for a while. After being seated we were then left without a menu or drink for quite some time and had to ask for both. It then took an hour to be served the first course. The manager made an appearance at the end of our meal and asked if everything was ok to which we said that there had been some initial problems. He did not ask what they were but did compensate both of us with a drink for which we thank you. We felt that the dining room was understaffed which probably accounted for the situation but it only takes seconds to hand someone a menu and ask what they would like to drink. WeI would still recommend you but would suggest that whoever makes a reservation check to see if you are hosting an event evening if noise was an issue

Location good. Pleasant surroundings, clean and comfortable. Good sized pool. Bar area very small and not adequate to eat or have a "bar" meal. I was unable to eat there as all the tables were full, and was more of a reception area for the main restaurant. Because it was full I had to order room service and dine in my room. I was not offered a table in the restaurant which I found rather petty. When the meal (room service) was delivered the plate of food was uncovered which I also find off putting for a hotel that boasts luxury and first class facilitites. The Leisure pool is a good size but the ladies changing rooms are tiny, poorly equiped and offer no privacy whilst unchanging. Needs updating and some work as there were a few health and safety issues.

A most enjoyable stay with pleasant surroundings. The reception area could be improved, it was slow booking in and slow booking out as there was a mistake on the bill.

It was very quiet and peaceful. We live in a rural area so sometimes find it difficult to sleep if near a road, this Hotel was well situated and very quiet, apart from the usual noises of toilets flushing etc in the bathroom above ours. It seems that most hotels would benefit from better internal sound proofing. Would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again at the right price.

Personal greeting on arrival - did not have to tell them who I was. Upgraded to a named room which was a lovely touch. Why can so few hotels toast bread properly at breakfast I do prefer toasted bread to that which is just crunchier bread with the merest hint of colour.
