The service was great, friendly helpful staff.

The outstanding quality was the Staff. Without exception they were friendly and helpful - a rarity these days. The rooms were very clean and well furnished as was the hotel overall. Food was very good , both the main restaurant and bar snack menus were comprehensive and breakfast was superb. Though a mainline rail service runs close to the hotel,the noise level from trains was very low and unobtrusive. We travel extensively and internationally, Nailcote Hall compares well anywhere in value for money and local facilities.

This hotel is full of old world charm. Creaking floorboards, beams, log fire in dining room. All the food we ate was great, from breakfast to afternoon tea (warm scones - lovely) and dinner in the restaurant, it was all superb. The staff could not have been more attentive and professional. The indoor pool is very nice too.

It was only on our second day that we realised there is no lounge for the residents to use. There is a bar and dining room, but no where to sit and read in a quiet corner, so afternoon tea was served in the bar.

the ambience, the building, the staff were faultless. dinner was fabulous. our room was comfortable airy and clean. we will definitely make it our hotel of choice when next we need to be in the area

Friendly staff, lovely room albeit a bit noisy and good location

Sadly, the downside was the dining room. When we entered there was nobody there to seat us for a while. After being seated we were then left without a menu or drink for quite some time and had to ask for both. It then took an hour to be served the first course. The manager made an appearance at the end of our meal and asked if everything was ok to which we said that there had been some initial problems. He did not ask what they were but did compensate both of us with a drink for which we thank you. We felt that the dining room was understaffed which probably accounted for the situation but it only takes seconds to hand someone a menu and ask what they would like to drink. WeI would still recommend you but would suggest that whoever makes a reservation check to see if you are hosting an event evening if noise was an issue

A most enjoyable stay with pleasant surroundings. The reception area could be improved, it was slow booking in and slow booking out as there was a mistake on the bill.

Location was ideal. The staff were attentive and polite.

The television in our room didnt work and 3 spot lights didnt work.

Enjoyed all aspects of overnight stay, food was excellent,staff very obliging,room was very comfortable.

We particularly appreciated the free upgrade to a named room, which was spacious and had a sumptuous feel. I was aware when booking, that the decor was more traditional than we would normally select and we enjoyed the change, feeling comfortable and relaxed both in our room and the communal areas. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Nailcote Hall proved a good location for visiting our daughter at Warwick University. We had a memorable one night stay, that we wish had been longer and wish to return in the future. Well done, Nailcote Hall! Js from Cornwall

The evening meal was presented as a 'special', offering three courses with a 'free' bottle of wine. It was presented effectively but I would have enjoyed a greater range of cooked vegetables or salad. We also felt that there were too many additional charges for a 'special'. However, we must emphasise that we enjoyed our meal and the friendliness of the waiters.

Personal greeting on arrival - did not have to tell them who I was. Upgraded to a named room which was a lovely touch.

Why can so few hotels toast bread properly at breakfast I do prefer toasted bread to that which is just crunchier bread with the merest hint of colour.

Exceptionally good in every way. Thoroughly enjoyed brief stay.
