Friendly staff, nice welcoming environment, nice food and everyone is greeted with a warm welcome

I have stayed at this hotel every year for the past 11 years in transiting to Ireland. A very friendly welcome is had from all the staff and the stay was very comfortable.

Friendly and comfortable exelent food

Excellent menu for the evening meal and the breakfast was great. The room was very comfortable, perfect for our needs

The cold water was as hot as the hot water in room 15 which meant the shower was unusable, but I am sure it would have run cold if given the time

The waitress staff were excellent, friendly, polite and happy to assist where possible. The hotel and our room was light, bright and very comfortable. It was lovely and quiet and we had a beautiful room of the countryside from our room. The food at breakfast and in the dining room was good and reasonably priced. Plenty of car park space.

On being shown to our room, we noticed that there was an areas of bench that had a coating of dried Horlicks which had not been cleaned off. I tried to wipe it off but it was stuck fast. One of the coffee mugs had not been cleaned properly and there was dried hot chocolate down the inside of it. My husband took the dirty mug downstairs to replace it with a clean and to advise the receptionist/manager, as to the state of the bench top. The Manager came upstairs, had a look at the dirty bench, gave it a superficial wipe which achieved nothing, then placed a new cup tray on top of one of the soiled areas and promptly left. She was obviously annoyed that we had bothered her, making no apologies for the lack of cleanliness and being quite abrupt. Not a good start to our stay. The hotel is basically stuck out in the middle of nowhere so if you want to eat out, you have to drive.

Small room but modern decor and very comfortable.

The management and staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast very good. A very relaxing place to stay.

Location and Service

Convenient location for sight-seeing in Anglesey and for the Holyhead ferry-port.

The hotel is expensive for the type of accomodation.The restaurant is expensive for the quality and range of dishes at dinner.
