Breakfast There was nobody to run the hotel bar. While this was open when I checked in there were no staff evident when I went back there after going out for an evening meal. |

The breakfast was well cooked and there was a good choice. The two waiting staff did their best to help us. The cat was very friendly! There was no-one to answer the door at the agreed arrival time. Four of us were left out in the cold while efforts were made to contact the owner. In the end it was discovered that the kitchen door had been left open and we all trooped through the kitchen and helped ourselves to keys. We did not check in. We never saw anyone apart from the two waiting staff at breakfast time. |

The hotel was centrally situated in Liskeard and there was parking. The bed was comfortable. The decoration was attractive in the room. The room was cold at times - the heating seemed to come on in the morning and evening only for a while. The room could have been cleaned more thoroughly eg. on skirting boards, window frames. |

friendly staff; relaxed atmosphere, no hassle. lack of good eating in evening, nearby. a bit rickety, perhaps; could be noisy for older people until everyone is settled, if full. Maybe too harsh a criticism for one night when the hotel was nearly empty. |

Just 300 metres from the A38 road, very near Menheniot Rail Station, this traditional pub has a large car park, gardens and comfortable en suite rooms (full English breakfast included). |
