Around 8 minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Castle Combe, The Garden House B&B in Grittleton offers elegant rooms and full English breakfasts.
Score from 42 reviews Very good
The room was dated but clean and comfortable. They were very accommodating when we overslept and they made us bacon sandwiches to go.
The room was overpriced for what was provided. Felt it should have been £20 cheaper due to quality of room. But would stay again for nearby events
Neeld Arms is a beautiful little pub set in a stunning little village. Pretty to look at outside but beautiful inside. The quirkiness of an old pub mixed with style and comfort where the staff were so helpful and friendly. Just 10 min drive from Chippenham where you find the train station to Bath (15 min journey) and the amazing Christmas market
Very nice country pub in a quiet Bath stone village.Good beer and food and good service in the bar.Food was cooked and presented well and was reasonably priced.
The shower gel in the room was empty and my request for a top up was not received well-almost an inconvenience. We were surprised that on our second day our dirty cups from the previous day were not replaced with clean and the hospitality tray topped up or the waste bin emptied.Although these are small points it is the detail that can make a large difference.Overall a very pleasant stay.
Food and rooms excellent and very friendly welcome
Although we booked into the pub for 1st November with the rest of our family, on arrival no room had been allocated to us. The landlord fortunately found us accommodation elsewhere and we joined our family for breakfast. Therefore we cannot comment on the experience of staying in this pub - the breakfast was good though.
Stayed for two nights.Came back to dirty coffee cups on the second day! They were not washed up very well when we checked in. Nothing was wiped over. Thought it was a lot of money for what it was !!
Great food. Friendly atmosphere
Fantastic village pub with great atmosphere and good food.
1st night we had no soap and very little toilet roll. Shower also had a constant leak. However stay was still good enough to book 2nd night and this was resolved.
The quality of food at value for money prices, the frendly staff , making you feel welcome at all times
Difficult to get a phone signal, no street lighting therefore when I left early it was very dark
Friendly staff, excellent food lovely place. Will definitely be going back :-)
I really enjoyed my stay the room was just wonderful, and our dinner was just fantastic. I have been coming to Grittleton to see Marjorie Richardson for many years from Australia and have had some great times at the Neeld so decided that I would stay and was not disappointed and certainly would stay again next time I come
Friendly pub with good food and drink
Some door frames a bit low!

The atmosphere was very relaxed. The food was good and reasonably priced. Felt at home.
Having to leave.
Wish I had the chance to like something.
Manager called me at 2.15pm on the day of checking in to say they were overbooked! They found me alternative accomodation near-by but it was more expensive. Poor organisation.
well run and efficient. Good food
Gorgeous pub in a gorgeous village. Delicious food at both dinner and breakfast. Character filled rooms. Lots of friendly locals. Was a real find and a great way to finish our UK holiday.
friendly good size bedroom with comfortable beds, excellent food and highly recomended
Staff were very accommodating for our late check in.
Nothing a problem Charlie and boo were very friendly meals were huge and tasty can't say a bad thing will recommend to all our Aussie friends
They introduced other hotel "the crown" to us.
we could not stay the hotel since they had no our booking document and no vacancy. Their registration desk was in pub and anybody can access the desk. You should not introduce this hotel to customers since inportant informations of customers such as credit numbers can be easily taken by wrong-mind persons.
Friendly host. Took time to chat to us.Room spacious and comfortable.Lemon Sole was delicious. All the food was.
Nothing to dislike
friendly staff, food was great,
the only thing we noticed was the carpets in the guest section needed cleaned or replaced...and again, this was very minor in the scale of things....
