The staff were very warm and welcoming and helped to make the stay memorable. The accommodation was also excellent and more than met our expectations. We'll be back!
Not having a sea view!
Poor service at breakfast. No phone in room.
Hotel was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food delicious. We would stay here again
parking, spacious rooms, food, bar area, outside sitting area
shower curtain, breakfast very slow
The stay was as expected, excellent.
Hotel, food and staff fantastic could not fault it.Would go back without hesitation x
The size of the hotel The staff The food Very friendly owners Location
Loved the location. Beautiful building. Beautiful bathroom. Gorgeous spacious room. Bar and restaurant right downstairs. close to town, just a 10-15 minute walk away. Great staff.
The bed was just too hard. Was difficult to get comfy. And the room was boiling. No fans, no air conditioning. Made what should have been a fabulous experience just a pretty good one. There was no through air all. Then you got to the top of the stairs it felt about 10 degrees warmer than it was downstairs. Also as our room was on the street, we did get bus noise and noise from the people right downstairs who were having a drink at night. Couldn't close the window of course as it would have only made things hotter. Probably would be better to stay here not at the height of a rather warm summer.
Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed Good atmosphere in bar. Good breakfast menu Loads of hot water
Noise and smell from the kitchen extractors outside the window which had to be open as it was hot.
I have been here before, with golf friends. The hotel has very friendly staff. Lovely room, with great views.
Nice rooms; excellent staff; very good bar and restaurant.
Nothing. I liked everything.
Comfort and cleanliness after 3 days in the saddle was just exactly what we needed. It was more expensive than our two previous nights at Allenmouth and Berwick but worth every penny! roomy and comfortable accommodation. Well done!
A minor point, the rooms were set up as double rooms instead of the twin rooms booked and we had to wait for about 30 minutes for the rooms to be set up when all we wanted was a shower/bath etc. We had to pay for drinks from the br ourselves.
That we were able to have Dileas our dog in the room with us. The staff were polite and willing to be helpful.
I have diet problems, food allergies, and was only able to order two items from the cooked breakfast menu. That was all I received - one of each item. I felt I could have perhaps received more. I am also diabetic so have to eat regularly and a fair amount.
Everything! Staff was incredibly helpful and personable.
Friendly and very helpful staff.
Was just not quite worth the price. No bottled water in room, limited choice of food in restaurant . Although replenished before we left the table there was limited available choice for breakfast when we were there (08:45).
lovely hotel with great friendly staff. Even though there was significant refurbishment of the bar area going on it hardly really mattered. All the food we had (dinner and breakfast) were of very high quality.
Food was fantastic at night and at breakfast. Room was lovely and spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Everything was excellent, ideal location, helpful, very friendly staff, great room, food delicious & plentiful. A thoroughly great place to stay & would highly recommend.
Friendliness and helpfulness of all staff was exceptional. Also the atmosphere was very relaxed, especially welcome as we had a young dog with us!
There was absolutely nothing to complain about.
small room where you could easily bump your head on eaves, not worth £140 per night
Very nice large room and bed .spacious bathroom , good shower . Restaurant and reception areas tastefully decorated , fresh flowers and candle on tables and food was excellent , we had a very enjoyable dinner and a drink in the well stocked bar afterwards a very nice evening . Breakfast had an excellent choice of foods including full Scottish breakfast all freshly sourced and a vegetarian option of this also which was unusual .Managed to park easily on the property . Would stay again if price was right at the time . Very enjoyable stay .
Didn't look very exciting from the outside but building work was going on at the time an extension to the bar and Grill which should be very nice when completed . Would have preferred to be a little nearer the Main Street and sea front but not that far if you are capable of walking or if the weather had been warmer and dry . Can't complain at all really .
The room, good food, friendly staff.
