Friendly welcome of the staff Pleasant room recently refurbished, bathroom well above a 3 star. Friendly bar with locals and visitors happy to mix Good beer and good but simple food
Lack of a comfy change in the room
Lovely hotel, friendly staff looked after me & a couple of mates. Modern facilities everything that we as a group where looking for.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
Love this place, great location just a short stroll from the railway station. Greeted with a warm friendly welcome after a long journey is always nice! Could not fault the recently refurbished bedrooms with fantastic new en-suite bathroom. Set off each morning ready to take on the day with a hearty delicious breakfast! Great hotel will definitely return!
Easy walk into the town from the hotel.
Water pressure and temperature in the bathroom sink was poor although the shower was fine.
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. Clean room.
Mattress was a bit lumpy and the springs can be felt through it.
Everything about this place !! We loved the 'boutique' 'homey' feel and the excellent breakfast. Room and bathroom very clean. The owners/staff were so knowledgeable and helpful about the area.
no complaints - would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Wick area
I really liked this hotel. Friendly staff. The room was spacious and comfortable. The best thing about the room was the en suite. It was very modern with a huge shower cubicle. The hotel has a lovely garden at the back as well. There's parking nearby too.
Took me a while to connect to the wifi but once I had it worked well
Friendly staff, really comfortable and clean spacious room. Breakfast lovely.
Couldn't fault a thing during our two night stay. It has a central location, the décor is fresh and the standard of cleanliness is faultless. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The bathroom deserves a special mention - very modern and very well furnished. The breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner one night, and that was exceptional value for money. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
I don't have anything negative to say.
Clean comfortable room, good sized bathroom.
Customer service could do with improvement. Some rooms are a long way from the entrance and up and down a few flights of stairs so not suitable for people with mobility problems. We were a party of 60-70 year olds but at no point were we offered any help with our luggage. The very young waitress that served our evening meal came and banged the bill down on the table halfway through and got annoyed when we said we hadn't finished. The bar person was diffident and rude, the food very basic. The staff see this as more of a pub than a hotel and give the impression that they find guests a nuisance. However, there was one saving grace, the lady that took our payment the morning that we left, was pleasant, helpful and friendly. What a shame that she wasn't there the night before.
Easy to find, easy parking. Stayed for one night. The room was big enough for two, but the shower was amazing. We ate at the hotel that night, the food was your average pub meal. Breakfast next morning was substantial, lots to choose from. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend.
Clean, good location, excellent breakfast
room quite small
The hotel was most comfortable and thought the service was great. An excellent cooked breakfast was also provided.
the garden and the rooms, very friendly staff, very nice bar
the staff, very friendly and helpful
Clean, modern and comfortable.
Staff exceptionally friendly. Room was good value for money. Clean.
Ease of check in. Comfort of room.
Unsure how safe parking would be as not specifically for hotel guests
Breakfast was excellent!
Appearance from the road is actually the back of the hotel and is a bit offputting.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room had a beautiful view of the Firth, comfortable beds and nice clean bathroom. The breakfast included with the room was a pleasant surprise. We weren't expecting the full English breakfast buffet at all and the service was excellent. It was nice to have a table waiting for us each morning. The location was excellent for walking the town and we were able to find it without any trouble.
The window didn't open far enough to get some air in at night, a fan would have been nice, although I think we were there during some unusually hot weather for the area.
Rooms were not very sound proof
situation magic just near town
Good value for money, close to the city centre, free parking and good food. Very helpful staff, beautiful garden.
