the provider went over and above the call of duty to make our stay pleasant and comfortable.
Owner was very pleasant
Hard to find as off dual carriage way with no crossover near the house.
Friendly welcome. Comfortable
A brighter sign at the driveway would be good especially in the dark, but maybe I should have read the directions a bit better
we liked the warm welcome we received when we arrived, we were happy with the rooms and the private bathroom. on a whole the hotel was very clean.
the friendliness of the host. the breakfast was delicious. the location was quiet and the bed was really comfortable.
very friendly welcome and really comfy beds. Place was spotless and good wifi connection. very peaceful and located well for travelling by car
asked to by cash on departure- i don't carry that much cash, should be flagged up on booking.
hostess margaret was excellent nothing was too much trouble bed comfortable breakfast excellent water hot plenty parking and no noise perfect i:ll be back
The owner of this guest house was lovely, very welcoming, accommodating, and couldn't be more helpful. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable and we had a very pleasant stay.
We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. Friendly host very informative, knowledgeable went the extra mile for her guests
House was comfortable and good value for money. Continental breakfast was included in the price but was rather limited.
We had a hard time finding the house as it was listed as being in Irvine when it is actually in Kilwinning. As a result the satnav took us to a house on the wrong side of the dual carriageway which had the same post code. We do not know if thee was any public transport to the house so feel it is only suitable for car drivers.
Friendly and welcoming host, who made you feel at home straight away. Lovely house and a good breakfast.
this is my third stay at nethermains this year, this time I went with my mother ,most of the time you are left to your own devices, this is good as you will not get disturbed too much except for a few minutes in morning to clean the room up a bit, good quality breakfast as both Scottish and continental are served, margeet the owner can not do enough for you ,any special requests and she will try to accomadate you ,other than that the rest of the day is all down to you depending on your schedule, good if like me you just want some peace and quiet, please do not come here if you are looking for a party as alchol is a big no no , and try and treat the rooms right as they are nice comfortable rooms with good furnishings, allow their is a motorway near by you hardly hear it and is good if you are travelling around ,do what I do and walk around the local scenary.
nothing major to complain about, however if you do not have your own transport you are going to be a bit stuck when it comes to getting evening meals, but you should know this before booking in.
We had a lovely room, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. A beautiful old house.
Breakfast was minimal compared to other places we have stayed.
Margaret who went above and beyond duty, lovely room, private parking, recommendations for dinner, filling continental breakfast, cleanliness, comfort
My stay wasn't long enough.
Very friendly host, cumfy bed, and nice breakfast. Would stay again. This
The room, good service
Tasteful and pleasant decoration and furnishing and warm welcome. Easy parking. Would visit again.
The only thing is the nearby road you can hear when you open the window.
Everything was good. Easy access to Glasgow by train.
Scottish train tickets are very expensive
Fantastic service. Brilliant stop off before the ferry. Fantastic welcome. Clean and comfortable.
everything, and especially the large size of the room the warm welcome and the feeling that we were truly the landlady's guests in her home and of course the cooked breakfast for £ 2.50 !
She was very approachable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Good conversationalist.
Nothing to dislike.
I was working in the area and needed a nice place to stay Such a warm welcome and so relaxing and comfortable I was made to feel at home
Margaret who owns and runs Nethermains is wonderful. Nothing is a problem and she makes you feel completely at home.
