Fantastic service. Brilliant stop off before the ferry. Fantastic welcome. Clean and comfortable.
She was very approachable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Good conversationalist.
Nothing to dislike.
I was working in the area and needed a nice place to stay Such a warm welcome and so relaxing and comfortable I was made to feel at home
Margaret who owns and runs Nethermains is wonderful. Nothing is a problem and she makes you feel completely at home.
Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. We would have no hesitation in recommending Nethermains House.
No complaints at all.
Loved everything about the place/ hosts, couldn't ask for more, everything 10star (the location is perfect: right next to the park!)
Margaret is a fantastic hostess. She made the trip to the commonwealth games extra special.Nothing is to much trouble for her.To help people during the games she went the extra mile and did packed lunches and evening meals. You are a very special lady.Big thanks .see you next year.
Friendliness Comfortable Easy to park
The hostess was very attentive to fulfill all our wishes. She saw that my wife's feet are not perfect, therefore she gave us instead up-stairs room a first floor room. She told many small stories about the house and her family. She adviced on what to see, where the area.
A wonderful homely residence, recently updated and owned by a joyful and welcoming lady. A wonderful rest spot for any weary traveller.
Hospitality of the host, who was always ready to help and do everything to satify all the guest's needs. Grate location for Arran travelers - very close to a ferry harbour.
I highly recommend this lovely guesthouse, the service is very good ,staff helpful and polite, you have a choice of breakfast,a traditional Scottish one or continental, faciilities are very good ,nice comfortable rooms ,cleaned every morning for you ,bed choice good and very comfortable ,bathroom facilities very good and clean,if you want privacy this is the place to go,owner could not do enough for you ,very nice lady,so if your touring and want a nice but quite place for a few days book here, highly recommended.
their is nothing not to like, remember that it is breakfast you get ,so if you want a dinner either self serf yourself ,or you can always go out to get meal, especially over to Irvine ,but this not a critisim
Margaret is a lovely friendly host, nothing was too much trouble. I hadn't twigged that private bathroom didn't mean ensuite, so she provided a robe for us to nip across the hallway in. Comfy bed, proper Yorkshire tea and generous number of milk cartons with biscuits provided. Bathrooms were clean and the decor just like being in a nice modern home. Lovely feel about the place. TV didn't have any signal for main channels, but as we had brought HDMI cable we were able to plug in to the big TV and watch Netflix using the free wifi instead. We didn't mention it to Margaret as it wasn't a problem but I'm sure she would have sorted it out somehow! I was out before breakfast one morning but M kindly left everything bar toast ready for me to help myself before I left. Recommended pub the Ship in Irvine was amazing!
Not being able to check in until 5 pm
the landlady was very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. the showers were excellent as was the food highly recommended
Good bed Quiet Pleasant staff
Biggest concern is there must be a smoker in the house - I immediately noticed the cigarette smoke in entry and in the dining room. No ash trays in room so expect this is a non-smoking BandB. Just unfortunate to have this greet you. Room not overpowering in smoke but if you stay here be forwarned.
Everything to be honest
Trying to find the place
Very nice friendly welcome on arrival and during stay. Owner a lovely lady and very helpful when required even made us breakfast out with stated times and gave us a pack breakfast when we missed. Fantastic quiet location, easily found with SatNav. Would recommend anytime.
The owner was very friendly and went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect.
Value for money. Good advice re evening meals.
Room not as advertised but informed that this was the way that booking.com chose to describe all rooms as the same. No hairdrier; TV much smaller than advertised. Satnav directions not accurate if travelling northwards
Friendly Staff Big comfortable bed
Margaret! Couldn't do enough for us, brilliant personality! Super quiet room. Proximity to the Ardrossan Ferry to Arran Guided to the excellent Ship Inn at Irvine. The other guests, particularly the 'Groom' and his best man. Margaret's kindness in providing a Bucks Fizz to congratulate the Groom. The security of the car park. Value for money. Etc etc!
Nothing to dislike.
Nice, homely feel. Very comfortable and very helpful owner.
