We were very happy with our stay at Nethermain House. Margaret was a delightful hostess, and was very welcoming. She went above and beyond for all her guests. We had delicious homemade cake delivered to our room each afternoon when we arrived back. We even had ice cream on one occasion! The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. My gluten free diet was catered for and we had lovely cooked breakfasts every day. All in all a memorable stay. Thank you Margaret!

In a peaceful yet convenient location, this 19th-century farmhouse is close to the A78 and about 15 minutes from Prestwick Airport and 40 minutes from Glasgow International Airport. Nethermains House is 5 minutes' drive from Eglington Country Park. Ardrossan Harbor, with ferries to Arran, is just 10 minutes' drive away. Local train stations and major road links to Glasgow, Troon, Kilmarnock, Ayr and Largs can be accessed easily. The beautiful harbor-side area is 5 minutes’ drive away and is adjacent to Irvine Beach Park, Magnum Leisure Center and the popular Bridgegate shopping mall. There are 5 golf courses within easy reach of the House: between 0.5 mi and 25 mi away. Transport to and from the courses is available. Dairy Clay Pigeon Shooting and Archery Center is 10 minutes' drive away. Nethermains House is run informally and you can come and go as you please. Each room has private bathrooms. Continental breakfast is included, and cooked breakfast is available at an extra cost. There is ample free private parking within the grounds, which is covered by CCTV.
