This family-run hotel is in quiet gardens, less than half a mile from the seafront and with views out over the bay. It has free parking, a bar, a seasonal outdoor pool and rooms with private bathrooms. The Nethway Hotel is a short walk from the beach, the harbor and the shops. There are also regular buses to the center of town and to the village of Cockington during the summer season. The light rooms have heating, TVs and tea/coffee. Some have sea views and balconies. A full English breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 9:30 am and evening meals are also available. The bar has an outdoor terrace with views of Torbay. There is entertainment on most nights (subject to numbers). Unfortunately, the Nethway Hotel is unable to accommodate single sex group bookings. Hotel Rooms: 25

restaurant staff was very nice and helpful stank in my room from the bathroom/toilet. no shower and the bath was dirty.

The staff were extremely polite and helpful and made you feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. The outside could do with a coat of paint.

Tidy, big room, nice location, nice price, friendly staff. Had a good sleep and despite being on the ground floor next to parking, did not hear any noise at all. Liked the breakfast too~ Flexible check in, no curfew as far as I remember. Bathroom/Shower a little bit small and worn. The basin was in the room, so you had to walk over there after using the toilet. Also, there was an unpatched hole in the shower ceiling.

We were immediately impressed by the high level of customer service provided by all the staff at the Nethway. Staff were genuinely friendly and displayed a comittment to ensuring that all guests enjoyed their stay. The food was served quickly, hot and freshly prepared. The entertainment in the evenings was fantastic - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return soon.

Our stay was in the family suite for one night there were five of us of different ages and it suited us perfectly.The rooms were very clean and everything you needed,the view was superb.All the staff were fantastic nothing was any trouble and wow what a breakfast !! All over a fantastic stay 5*****

Made to feel very welcome and all so friendly. Because we went with older children 15 and 11, my eldest daughter did struggle with the beds as they were bunk bed. And we had no shower just a bath though there was one down the hall.

My wife identified the owner and service staff as very friendly. We booked a family room 2 adults and two boy age 11 and 6, the room wasn't big enough to support this. The beds where of low quality and had been repaired. The bunk-beds my boys shared impeded the opening of the door making entering with luggage tricky. The double bed in room was opposite a dresser which created a very narrow gap to move in and around. The decor was dated. Overall the room needed some investment.

Welcoming staff. Very helpful - allowed us to check in early as our room was ready. Nice room, comfy bed & great views. Tasty breakfast with buffet options & freshly cooked hot food. Would definitely book this hotel again.

The owners and staff were all very friendly, and the breakfasts were very good. We were given good advice on places to visit by the owner. The room rate was good. Although the hotel is up a hill its not too far from the sea and town. We were disapointed by the size of the family room and its condidtion. The sink was in the room and water / waste pipes were not boxed in, and there was a hole in ceiling above the shower.

The room was very good with a seaview and the bed was large and comfortable. The price for this room was very good. No refreshments available when checking in at 3pm as bar not open until 5.30. Wanted to relax on the terrace with a cool drink had to walk to the nearest bar. Limited car parking spaces.

The owners were fantastic, very friendly and warm welcome. The family room we had was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast/function room was very large and very well set out. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful for our needs. The fact that the beach was just down the hill and we could walk down to the pier and everything else Torquay has to offer was fab. Overall we had a great weekend and would most definatley go back soon!

Friendly staff, clean and comfortble rooms, lovely freshly cooked breakfast and great location for Torquay town centre, harbour and beach. We paid for a room with a balcony, which was very much worth the small extra cost as lovely views and an area to enjoy and relax in the sunshine. n/a
