Extra thought put to everything: Facilities in room including take-away hot drink cup, books, etc. Range of fruit juices in morning (locally sourced). Waitress at breakfast (housekeeper I think) excellent. Everything seemed to be just that little bit extra quality.
Popular local bar and restaurant. Good quality food. Great service from most of the staff. The breakfast team were fantastic.
Superior room was lovely, but the en-suite was very small - just enough room to turn around in. Surly and disinterested barman lets down the front of house - all other staff couldn't be faulted.
Pub atmosphere Good Food
A bit far out for regular business trips
Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food. Nice room.
very noisy bar;nowhere to sit and have a quiet discussion.Bit on the pricey side.
Everything, a superbly appointed inn/hotel. The cooked English breakfast was amazing!
the staff are very accommodating and helpful and the rooms are beautiful, the food is excellent no complaints at all
Characterful Peaceful setting Service Room clean and tidy
Car parking arrangements Restaurant service was slow Food not warm enough
Restaurant Food Staff Location
The location by the stream. Smart room with wonderful beds. We had a very good light evening meal in the pub. Nice breakfast in the garden cafe.
The staff, the food, (the dinner especially was wonderful), the setting on a riverbank, the comfortable bed, what else to say.
It was a shame that the huge commercial bins for the hotel are so on show right at the front near the sitting area on the riverbank. Surely they could be screened, I am surprised that the Parish Council have not complained, they would have done in our village.
Quality of food, service, choice of restaurants, staff friendliness.
poor wi fi reception
After a minor glitche in service the response and action was superb.
Food and staff
No air conditioning in room, not enough ventilation
It is the perfect place to meet up with friends. The meals, the setting, the ambience of Nevill Arms made for a perfect weekend with friends.
To make it 100%, it would have been nice to have our breakfast in Cafe Nevill, not the bar area.
This gem was just the perfect place to spend our last night in regional UK. With it's perfect location to its big rooms, not to mention the great and friendly service also the food was to die for. All in all the Nevill Arms is a great place to stay.
It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious - there were lots of nice extras like spare toothbrush / razor in the drawer if you needed them and home made biscuits and a message to say fresh milk was available if required
The wifi never worked all the time we were there - they said it was probably being worked on but they have trouble with the thick walls - fair enough but don't advertise it as available all the time if it isn't!
Location and friendly staff
Broken wifi, bathroom with no bath and weak shower
Very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly.
Hotels position by the river.food was great.staff looked after us very well, nothing was too much trouble.very clean and large bedroom and bathroom.liked the tables by the river where you can sit and have a drink
Characterful property in a picturesque setting. Staff were welcoming.
Stairs were narrow and there was no lift; wifi only worked sporadically.
Superb food and friendly staff.
Computor for bills got in a really big muddle
lovely village, friendly staff excellant food and rooms, will be going back
Comfy bed, free bottled water in room, thought for ladies with cotton buds, cotton face pads, pub open all day for relaxing time by the river
Huge TV screen in the bar, over faced with food at cooked breakfast, the smell of oil from cooking filtering into the room. Had to ask for staff at breakfast because the buffet was expleted, orange juice only on offer - I am allergic! Attention to detail at breakfast time - the toast, resembled stale bread not toasted! Give it some colour it was awful. The butter was so salty it was in edible
