The price was high
Standard of rooms and food was excellent
Exterior appearance does not do the hotel justice
it was clean
Impersonal staff, poorly designed hotel and no bookings available in restaurant
We were upgraded to a large room. Very clean. Great shower & large bath with good water pressure. Quiet & airy. No problems with heating or cooling The staff were helpful .
The shower created a lot of steam resulting in the smoke alarm being set off, however, this caused no great problem.
Bathroom was spotless
Evening meal was a bit bland we had the Bolognese and mushroom and white wine with prawns
Comfortable, clean, well equipped rooms. Great bathrooms. Had to leave early before the normal breakfast time and were offered an early continental breakfast.
Unable to comment on food in the hotel's restaurant as fully booked.
Cooked breakfast disappointing, smoked salmon and scrambled egg inedible
Staff were very friendly and helpful
This is by far the best hotel I've stayed in in Fort William. Great food and lovely modern clean rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Big fluffy towels, lovely toiletries. Browns (INDEPENDENT) restaurant wonderful service and delicious food. Plenty of car-parking space and only ten minute walk into town. Staff were very accommodating and friendly just as stated in previous reviews. were able to sit quietly and comfortably on leather sofas in corner of bar to relax.
The first room we were shown had a normal size double bed. The booking arrangements implied that there would be option of two singles together. My husband is tall and all my search criteria was for king or super-king size beds. Also this room overlooked housing estate which previous reviewers had remarked about noise and persistently barking dog. Not the hotels fault but could be a problem. We were invited to take an alternative room on the ground floor which was very comfortable.
It was close to the train station and the Browns restaurant was very good
The room we had was hot with no air con, opened the window to make it cool enough to sleep, but lots of traffic noise
Brown's Restaurant was excellent. Hotel staff always very helpful.
room was in converted garage. very dark and gloomy. I
The location - convenient for the town yet far enough away to be quiet and undisturbed by the crowds. The contemporary decor The convenience of a good restaurant
The welcome on our arrival could have been friendlier and warmer. The tables were very close together in the restaurant so that conversation was difficult.
Staff are good, though lack knowledge of food (menu, dietary considerations). It's clean. Beds & bathrooms are clean, comfortable, well laid out.
1. The food. Staff not knowledgeable of the menu/food & food overall was simply bland, lacking in good flavour - for dinner & breakfast. Breakfast staff with cold, coughing...unhygienic. Breakfast buffet very poor (Kellogg's & concentrated juices). 2. Near road. Noisy. 3. A little too pricy for what it is.
Quality place to stay with very high standard of comfort, cleanliness and service topped off with excellent food
The velux window in the bedroom only opened up wide with no scope to have slightly ajar which was not a problem on the balmy night we stayed but the constant dog barking from nearby council houses was a menace.
The staff at the hotel very helpful and efficient; good restaurant.
I liked everything about my stay at the Nevis Bank Inn, everything was just lovely. Great for all ages :)
I felt the menu was very limited as there wasn't anything on the menu that I would have eaten at night. Breakfast menu was very limited too, would have been better if the hot food had been a buffet style along with the cold buffet.
The restaurant was excellent. The staff were professional, though not particularly warm.
The price of the room was absurdly high, especially given how cramped it was. The fold-out bed was uncomfortable. The furniture was crammed together, and had to be shifted around like a Chinese puzzle box to get at the washing machine, which was undecipherable, even by the hotel staff. There are no grounds whatsoever and no views. The place is utterly charmless. I mistakenly started my four-day booking a day early. When I didn't show up (since I was still in Edinburgh), I got an e-mail saying, if I didn't show up, they were going to charge me for the whole stay, even though there was a feeding frenzy of people trying to find rooms in Fort William (which was the only suitable room I could find for 60 miles around), and they could have booked the room easily.
Thoughts it was a very clean and inviting place. Staff could not have been nicer and food was tasty and well presented. We will definitely return at some point. Many thanks
Food staff location
Stayed in suite bed was hard and corridors very taty leading up to them wonder if they heard of paint
nice modern and clean room. staff very helpful. first class breakfast.
Clean and quiet room, and good restaurant.
No fridge in room and only queen bed. A suite should have a king bed.
We had some of our best meals in Scotland at the restaurant located at the hotel. Service was excellent.
Staff were very friendly & helpful Evening meal was really nice as was breakfast Would recommend trying both river Levenvale ales
