Handy location for our needs. On a cold winters day the room was warm and cosey.In fact at one stage was too warm until we mastered the heating controls.

We have stayed on a number of occasions and have not been dissappointed. It is very convenient for friends and for travelling into York.

The location is perfect for the customer that I visited & the food gives great value for money.

We both thought the accommodation was superb, so was check in with a polite and helpful receptionist! We did opt for the Executive Suite for three nights, and reading what other people had said about the hotel, it couldn't be further from the truth! Room was massive, with separate seating area with comfy sofa, counted 12 electrical sockets in the room, all easily accessible! Bathroom was very spacious, lovely bath with whirlpool function and a few free toiletries! All in all a very pleasant stay!! Just avoid Liver and Onions in the restaurant!! Served cold!!!! But don't let the food put you off!! Hotel was great, and in a great location!!

For the price, I would recommend that breakfast is included, rather than having to shell out again, and maybe serve breakfast for longer, 7am - 9am is too early when you are on holiday! Can the automatic doors be fixed for coming into the hotel? It's a bit awkward trying to get through two sets of doors with copious amounts of luggage from the significant other!

My only criticism,is the constant 'clubbing' music played in the bar and restaurant. Is this really necessary even at breakfast???

New Country Inns Selby suits us for an overnight stay when visiting family in the Selby area. We have no complaints about any aspect of our stay.

Good location and food was bad. Some of the staff were egger to help, while others were not so friendly.

I did not like the fact that there were no phones, except in the executive suites. Also, the beds were not as comfortable as I am use too. It is a little upsetting when you have to re-validate your email every 24 hours and half the time it would not work.

No Toothpaste for sale IMPOSSIBLE TO READ IN BED WITH THE VERY POOR LIGHTING ON THE BEDHEAD! This is not a complaint, just a serious observation!

Had fantastic stay here would go again stayed here as could not get into the centre of York. Would recomend here. Also meet some lovley people staying their... Can not wait to go again x

Only have one negative at that is on the sat the bar shut early, but you could still buy a bottle from reception and take it up to your room.

Budget hotel local to Selby but of a decent standard. Continental Breakfast choice and qaulity very down market

No hair dryer in room. Only realised after washing my hair and had to trail down to reception. Previous occupant had left small air vent on widows open resulting in the room having the feel of a fridge. Did not notice this until the following morning. As the heater went off when the room card was removed the room never warmed up.
