Wifi was not great
Very helpful and friendly staff
Excellent attention by reception on arrival and departure, all staff knew their job and were very friendly, facilities spotless and easy access, food 10/10 for taste and presentation, room very spacious and most comfortable bed, it was my 2nd stay and I will certainly stay again
Breakfast was good. Parking is free.
Bathroom hand basin rather grubby in room 1plus the extract did not work. WC partially blocked and not dealt with in room 2 even though it was reported early in the evening. We were located besides and opposite a group of young men who were very noisy and this did not stop until around 3.30 am.
Easy to find Check-in & Check-out staff Bar staff
Food - 3 out of our four meals went cold within minutes of being served. Room entrance: Door strike plate (room 12) was missing from frame so door catch and lock were both insecure. As a result we left nothing of any value in the room - it all went into the boot of our car whilst we were in the bar or restaurant. Carpet in room and bathroom flooring were both peeling away from floor. View from room 12 is awful.
Exceeded expectations for a budget hotel. Very large, pleasant room and very friendly, efficient staff. Even got biscuits with the tea and coffee !
the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. the first room had a broken window but with the help of toni the girl on reception we were moved and may I say that that nothing is a bother for her she is a very helpful and polite and pleasant lady a credit to your hotel
the bar area. after booking in for 3 days so we could visit friends in Selby we decided to relax in the bar for a couple of drinks but at 10.15pm wew were asked to leave as they were closing it which as a resident of your hotel I found this unacceptable and the girl wasn't at all apologetic about it.
cleanand breakfast was nice
Already been here five years ago, slightly improved, around 20 minutes walk from Selby town center. Good location.
Breakfast could improve, some pastries and croissants were like reheated... But so far, a decent breakfast.
Quite room size of the room was good size of the bed is good. TV is good. Resturant was very good.
Very low lights in the rooms No telephone in the room Food chioces was very very limited
Bed was really uncomfortable and no honey at breakfast
Great stay, facilities excellent, restaurant and bar get choice and reasonably priced.
The cleanliness and the wonderful room. We had great service and great food service. Parking was easy and accessible. We had a very comfortable bed and the bath was a lovely addition.
Most things were very good indeed.
We had room 1 (for disabled) .It was very poorly lit - we couldn't see to read in bed. The bed I was in didn't look as though it had been pulled out to be vacuum for a long time. The ribs starter was the worst I have ever had - I am very well travelled and often have edible spare ribs! Jim W
Extremely helpful staff who went out of their way to meet the needs of my husband and elderly mother.
The bar and dining room had a nice atmosphere and we liked the Adults Only dining section. The food was okay and definitely value for money. Monday to Friday was buy one meal get the cheaper one free. We were with friends from Selby who said they would definitely go again and take their family.
We were given a room facing the back and there was a constant noise from machinery of some sort, possibly an air conditioner, which made it difficult to sleep.
good location for our meeting in Selby, good basic Hotel , comfortable and clean. Food good.
TV Remote didn't work , window would not shut completely ( Room 16) causing a bit of traffic noise to be heard.
hotel is located on an industrial estate so when we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place...hotel is round the back of the estate...perhaps could do with a sign at entrance so people know they are in the right place !
the distance to York city centre, we was £30 in a taxi one way
The price of the rooms were good and size. Staff were very welcoming.
We was right over the kitchen and a generator went off and on all night, the lamp didn't work, and option of more pillows would be nice and bigger quilts. Food wasn't that good steak was tough and grissle
Nice room, comfy bed, clean bathroom and plenty of towels, coffee etc.
couldn't work the TV
helpful staff, good location, parking
Wi-Fi signal is dead in my room (N.5, ground floor)
Good location and staff very helpful
Very noisy room and hard beds
It was conveniently located near Selby station (short taxi ride away) as well as being close to the wedding venue. The staff were very helpful, getting us into our room early so we could get ready before the wedding.
We were expecting a cute, local hotel but really it was like a Premier Inn or Travelodge. Not sure if our expectations were just too high. The breakfast was extra and pretty uninspiring. My poached eggs first came out rock hard and had to send them back. The room was fine, although the bathroom didn't close fully, which we found a bit odd.
