closeness to town
12 April 2015
With our children, we liked very much the possibility to use a kitchen.
12 April 2015
Young crowd and therefor the bathrooms where a bit messy. Although the hostel staff kept cleaning.
Very good location, very good price.

Personally I was very lucky with the roommates, all women, but through the corridors I came across strange people, probably suffering from alcoholism or other. After all, New cross road is probably the worst place in London for the crime rate, on Saturday night you cannot sleep because, besides the pub below (which - I must say it - has great music) there's a noisy nightclub by side with people who gets drunk and barks all night
Considering the location (we are talking about of the south east of London, maybe the most problematic area of England) and the price, New Cross Inn is a good choice! Especially if you decide, as I did, to share the room with a few people (4 in my case). There is a bathroom cleaner every morning, the common rooms are great to breakfast and to prepare yourself food. The staff is always available, even if you have to fend for many things.

Nothing was comfortable except the wifi. The bed was hard. The room was cold. The windows were bad. It was noise all through. No heater in the room. For that price per night,I would get a far better treatment in Germany. I felt swindled, really.

Suspect that sheets where not changed. There is no breakfast even if they say it's included. Only thing you can eat was tosted bread and tea
Close to Gold Smith university

It was a bit noisy (very thin window and walls, so you could hear every evening the music coming from the New Cross pub located under the hostel, and also the sirens of the police cars and ambulances). Also the bathroom could have been more cleaner; and the Wi-Fi was not working in general.
There were clean sheets, comfortable bed, close to public transportation, close to supermarkets, nicely equipped kitchens, good price, friendly and very helpful staff. The 24 hour front desk was a big help for us leaving the hostel at 4 am.
19 March 2015
wi fi was terrible, and some of the showers were broken.
I liked that it has the breakfast included.
14 March 2015
Doesn't live up to the pictures at all. During our stay of three night the WiFi didn't work. Do know that the standard for hostels is low in London!
5 March 2015
I had to wait almost an hour for the water to flow as those in the morning had used it up and I was just a couple of hrs away from checking out! The shower had a towel on the outside which was drenched in water as a result of the water splashing from it which wasn't hygienic The bread had finished before the time scheduled for breakfast was up
I was lucky not to have anyone else in my room The heater was high enough to keep me from cold to have an inn open at that time of the night was great as I had no where to sleep
26 February 2015
kitchen roof leaking water on me as i cooked dinner. strip lighting flashing constantly whilst trying to cook dinner in the dark ! no clean plates or cups in the top kitchen. the kitchen was filthy every morning from vodka drinkers the previous night.cleaner daily kept switching the heating off so in the evening the room was freezing cold to come back to. Dried blood stains on the underside of bathroom sink.
there was hot water
25 February 2015
Wifi cut out, outlets shorted and we lost electricity in our room for the last 2 nights, bad area
Free linen, towels
22 February 2015
Close to halal food outlet and end of station thus making travelling at ease.
31 January 2015
Well paid 55pounds for a scruffy room then they charged my card 9pounds extra for no reason, shall be back for explanation, load off rubbish place!
30 January 2015
Although it wasn't dreadfully unclean, it wasn't the cleanest either, and the floor of the bathrooms were quite wet. But for the price I paid I can't really complain too much...
Pretty cheap, and nowhere near as dirty as reading the reviews might have you believe. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is free, and you can get tea and coffee as you like throughout the day. Location was great for me as I needed to be next to Goldsmiths College - a five minute walk. Pretty cheap area of London to be in, too - can get a hot meal down the road for just £2.50 and there's a cheap Iceland shop to buy food from too.
28 January 2015
the kitchen window seals and surrounds havent been cleaned for atleast 1 year. filthy.
the staff were excellent and polite
20 January 2015

30 December 2014
super noise at night and until mid-night, near fire station for noise is 24 hr!!! prepare ear pub if you want to sleep. and super sucks wiki (don't expect you can get collection when you need it)
good location 24hr bus, few mins walk from tube, value for money! free breakfast, supermarket close by
25 December 2014
There are not many good comments that I can give, but we did not expect any good accomodations either. So if you go with a group of friends and you don't want to pay much for your stay, then this isperfect!
21 December 2014
The location is not good, far away from most attractions and only overground trains are available to the central London.
The staff is warm-hearted
14 December 2014
The check out time
A later check out time.
9 December 2014
It was not comfortable or homely
7 December 2014
Hostel is on New Cross Road which is a busy main route in and out of town so there's a bit of noise from buses and sirens etc. At weekends the pub has music going until late which is fine if you like that sort of thing but not if you're up at 6am
Clean, friendly hostel above a lively pub in a cool part of london, close to the city but very reasonably priced. 4 bed dorm was warm and quiet when I needed rest, plenty of hot showers and even baths to use
9 November 2014
The hotel is extremely dirty and noisy. The bed are just springs covered with sheets. Very bad experience.
