Score from 130 reviews Excellent
Easy to find, new but very welcoming hosts, made us a welcome cup of tea on arrival, room small but clean, beds really comfy, evening meal generous and piping hot, excellent breakfast, plenty of hot water. Dogs made welcome. All at a reasonable price. Would recommend.
No toiletries, only 1 medium towel. The charge for the dogs not on booking site.
Friendly staff, good sized room for three people, very clean.
Separate bathroom but not a major issue.
le remboursement sans discusion des breakfasts comptés 2fois
le bruit du pub en dessous de la chambre jusqu'à 2h du mat et la voiture cabossée le lendemain par quelqu'un qui s'est assis sur le capot 680 livres de frais
Under a new owner called Damon, an ex Royal Navy man. So hospitable and hard working. Very cheap and good pub grub.
The warm welcome The excellent value for money
Bed very comfortable and was quiet. The water quickly became hot.
Lack of a soap dish in the shower
no food available
The bed was really comfortable and the bedding was soft. Had a good night's sleep due to this.
As the doors on the hotel rooms are not proper doors you can hear everything from the other rooms, and also from downstairs.
The staff were very pleasant and welcoming as were the locals at the bar! The food was excellent, the room was clean and was en-suite. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was very good. Guests also have the use of a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery. The New Inn's location is ideal for exploring The Brecon Beacons and further afield. I would definitely book another stay here.
There wasn't much choice on the English menu, however the New Inn has just been taken over by new management, (2nd October 2014), and I was told that this would be remedied.
Clean comfortable rooms, good beer, and excellent Thai food.
Staff Food Ambiance
Noisy main road
Everything was alright
Most of the staff didn't speak English
Good value for money Great as a base to explore Brecon Lovely, friendly staff
Rooms small and basic Not enough on-site parking spaces
cracking value for money evening Tai meal very good
bar could do with smartening up a bit
Cooked breakfast brilliant and freshly cooked
Limited cereal choice
My son and I were travelling together, I asked for a twin room but got a double! poor shower room bedside lights and bathroom mirror light didn't work, £49 not including breakfast not impressed. Don't bother. We went out for dinner and on our return found the Thai Landlady swearing and drunk in the bar! went to bed and locked the door.
Room is nice and clean and spacious with ensuite.
Too close to the main road and very noisy due to cars passing by and the window cant shut. The shower is not working. No breakfast provided.
The staff are excellent, accomadation adequate for the price, food very good, all in all value for money.
road a little noisy, room a bit warm, but we turned the heating off, shower ok,
bed was OK
The description on confirmation suggested that thinsg were in the room which were actualy down a shared corridor, like the toilet, shower, microwave etc. Very noisy latch type doore catches.
Very very basic
Friendly staff, location countryside Wales. Can eat nice Thai food downstairs.
Room was very small. Bathroom a bit outdated.
Cleanliness very good breakfast
The price of the room, the facilities, the location
Having to pay for everything in advance and the food. (Thai food - probably very good but not to my taste)
The Inn was our first stop in Wales, on our way to explore Brecon Beacons. It is in a lovely little village with not much in the way of traffic, disturbances or hassle. It was the perfect first stop, where the Innkeep was kindly and helpful and accommodating. There was also a friendly patron who directed us toward a myriad itinerary in Brecon Beacon. The New Inn was some 20min or less drive from Brecon main to begin our adventures in the national park. We found the Information Centre to the national park to be quite difficult to find, though we are bad navigators! And don't worry about eating out, the New Inn has a welcomed Thai Restaurant attached. Strange, but it was honestly some of the best oriental food we had ever tasted and that is reason enough to go. All in all a thoroughly relaxing and reassuring stay.
-External Bathroom, though it should be noted we stayed in the three person room, though we were only two (it was the last room they had available).
