Room is nice and clean and spacious with ensuite.
Too close to the main road and very noisy due to cars passing by and the window cant shut. The shower is not working. No breakfast provided.
The staff are excellent, accomadation adequate for the price, food very good, all in all value for money.
road a little noisy, room a bit warm, but we turned the heating off, shower ok,
Very very basic
Friendly staff, location countryside Wales. Can eat nice Thai food downstairs.
Room was very small. Bathroom a bit outdated.
Cleanliness very good breakfast
The price of the room, the facilities, the location
Having to pay for everything in advance and the food. (Thai food - probably very good but not to my taste)
The Inn was our first stop in Wales, on our way to explore Brecon Beacons. It is in a lovely little village with not much in the way of traffic, disturbances or hassle. It was the perfect first stop, where the Innkeep was kindly and helpful and accommodating. There was also a friendly patron who directed us toward a myriad itinerary in Brecon Beacon. The New Inn was some 20min or less drive from Brecon main to begin our adventures in the national park. We found the Information Centre to the national park to be quite difficult to find, though we are bad navigators! And don't worry about eating out, the New Inn has a welcomed Thai Restaurant attached. Strange, but it was honestly some of the best oriental food we had ever tasted and that is reason enough to go. All in all a thoroughly relaxing and reassuring stay.
-External Bathroom, though it should be noted we stayed in the three person room, though we were only two (it was the last room they had available).
Convenient (for our needs) Inexpensive for B+B Quiet
Some of the food not quite up to standard and poor response when we queried it
That food was fantastic, hospitality superb!
Room clean and breakfast OK.
Perhaps I was unlucky but I did not sleep well as the duvet was too thin. (I should have realised and asked for more bedding but we returned at 11.00 after an event at Brecon Jazz festival.) Another person returned even later - in the early hours of the morning and their incessant knocking to try to get in woke me. To be fair, my travelling companion slept well and slept through this disturbance.
staff very friendly and accommodating, locals welcoming, breakfast limited but reasonable. Rooms clean, off street parking a plus.
Noise from road, could do with modernising
food was great, staff nice and great value for money
Very reasonable price, comfortable bed, clean room, easy to find with own parking. Friendly staff.
Shower was temperamental, and could do with replacement.
welcome - very confusing - having to walk into a bar which had locals and dogs watching you. No signage to say where you need to book in.
Nice friendly staff Bar available Local persons in bar
No internet in rooms Outdated furniture in room
Friendly staff and made to feel welcome. nice size room and comfortable bed.
resturant meal portion was not enough.
Very friendly staff very very helpful home from home
Close to town
No evacuation plan in room, hot water exceptionally hot, very dangerous. Shower controls need upgrading. Very average facilities and linen supplies. Needs a lot of upgrading. Language barrier with some staff.
The hospitality given to us by all staff members was of the highest standard. Their pleasantries and personalities shone. Very courteous , always willing to help and serving us drinks as we were seated. Nothing was too much trouble. Well done new inn staff, we will definitely visit again. Thankyou for a wonderful stay!
There's nothing not to like!
I stayed at the new inn as a suprise visit to my boyfriend ... When arriving I booked to stay in the hotel singly and when my boyfriend joined me for a few hours was rudely verbally attacked who argumentatively told me he was not allowed in the room despite spending 50 pounds extra on food and drink. My partner was not staying in the hotel with me as he is a soldier and had to be back on base away midnight. After arguing the manager allowed my partner in the room yet at midnight woke me up and barged into my room to check he wasn't there despite him leaving 45 mins prior. Poor poor staff!!!
Friendly staff,nicely cooked breakfast.
Great value for money, very basic accomadation.
staff and food
No en-suite Very poor English menu Thai menu looked ok
friendliness of the staff
small room and very small television would have rather stayed in a family house or farm house but there was no other choice when we wanted to stay
