This was my second stay and The New Inn and will not be my last. The staff are friendly and facilities excellent for the price.

Friendly, laid-back pub, run by Thais. Very welcoming to our dog.

The room was a bit hot at night. The triple room is described as having a private bathroom - this is true, as you are given a key to the bathroom across the corridor. Bear in mind that it is not en suite, though, as this is not really emphasised in the room description. This was our second stay, so we were prepared for this, but on our first this was a surprise.

Charging £10 for my small dog didn't have to feed her or clean up for her or do anything for her so why £10

The hotel was quiet and staff were polite/friendly.

I booked two en-suite rooms but one room had a bathroom that was down the corridor

No breakfast.

What a pleasure. This has got to be one of the most welcoming B&B's that I have ever visited (and I have a B&B of my own). It is also fantastic value for money. The on site WiFi was a bonus. New Inn is a great locals pub where you do not feel like an outsider, indeed a day or two and you would be a local!! The hosts are Thai & the Thai food, as you might expect, is exceptionally good. Though I didn't try it the British food (fish & chips etc) was very popular as well & looked to be as good as the Thai. The full English (or is it Welsh) breakfast was v good. The Brains SA bitter isn't half bad either! I will definitely stay at The New Inn again if I re-vist the area.

The in-room facilities were good but a bar of soap in the bathroom would have been good, there was liquid hand wash supplied which wasn't really suitable for the shower (I arrived too late to go shopping) and a bath sheet instead of a bath towel would have been nice

The welcome was very warm. Friendly staff made us feel at home and the atmosphere in the bar was good too with locals happily chatting to us. The food offered was varied with their Thai & traditional uk menus. The food was tasty and well presented. The room and beds were comfortable and well styled with quality fabrics. The fruit bowl & mini breakfast bar was a nice touch too. We enjoyed our stay. My daughter fell in love with the pub's dog, who was well behaved and a great big softie. We also enjoyed a game of darts before we drove home. We hope to return and would definitely recommend it to others.

Not Alot. Owner by Taiwanese people. Great difficulty in understanding them when talking. Taiwanese Restaurant now, awful smell of cooking when sat in bar area. The locals were very friendly toward me and my dog. The bar staff was also friendly. It was handy for walking into the small town and countrywide.

The fact that on booking (as advertised Bed and Breakfast) to be told on arrival that they no longer do breakfast and also was not told until the bill was issued that they charged 10.00 per night for the dog and she got no breakfast included either. A gesture to me was a packed of Frosties and I could go across the landing to a small kitchen and cook myself some toast in the morning. (If I had wanted a Hostel I would have booked it) 29.00 per night plus 10.00 for the dog. A total rip-off and not as advertised. They said that Booking.com were partly responsible as they should have advertised continental breakfast as they have never done a full english style breakfast even though their advertising board outside states breakfast served all day. I stayed in a Guest house in Abrystworth for the remaining two hights of my vacation at 27.00 per night, full english breakfast and no Charge for the Dog. Never Again

Staff was friendly and the pub below hotel was very cosy and fairly priced. It was in close proximity to hay on wye and other sites, walking distance to castle. Rooms were cosy and clean with a good sized bathroom and as much hot water as required in the shower.

Advert said wifi available however neither advert said free wifi in rooms but neither of our phones picked up reception in the room unless you walk down corridor nearer to lobby. "continental breakfast" consists of cereal and tea and coffee in room only. For toast and jam you need to pay an extra GBP5
