Everything was perfect!
Took ages to gettin served & food was cold by time it arrived. Was returned & still came back cold. Poor show.
Absolutely everything about this beautiful hotel in a stunning location
Not the easiest place to find in the dark
The staff are excellent, polite, thoughtful and welcoming. The food which was served in the bar was good and value for money. Overall a good experience.
Hard to find an issue, I suppose a better mobile signal would be handy but it is not vital.
Lack of communication regarding heating problem in room , radiator not working , portable there but not advised when we booked in,not good in January I. Scotland !!!!
Nice location and good accomadation. Food and Bar average
They have a problem with the heating. Probably diffecult being a comverted old mill, making it a challange. Bedrooms OK but very variable in puplic areas
Good Location, right next to the river and The New Lanark mill, which is a great day out. Hotel facilities included a modern pool with very reasonable priced treatment, book before you check in to make sure they can fit you in. Hotel staff very friendly and amenable.
Wi-Fi wasn't very good, neither is mobile phone signal, this isn't the hotel's fault just the area they are located in.
The setting in the World Heritage Site of New Lanark Mills was superb. Restaurant staff in particular were really friendly and welcoming. We will certainly be back.
Wi-fi was fairly good on our laptop, but our smartphone would not connect. Staff told us this was a regular problem, which we've never encountered elsewhere.
Breakfast delivered to the room for only a small charg, the New Harmony Suite was lovely with excellent views.
Area is beautiful, lovely hotel
Had been before and food was much better last time. Ordered duck and got duck leg with couple of very small sliced potatoes and onions. Also ordered soup and no bread or roll with it.
Location, facilities, countryside, apartment, heritage site. Very happy.
Some people might find the constant rush of water in the river under the apartments too loud especially with windows open - personally it didn't bother us at all - was part of the experience. Wifi and phone reception very limited if it is important to you.
Love the hotel, its beautiful and the surrounding views are stunning. We got married a year ago at the hotel and we just loved everything about it.
We were a bit disappointed with our stay this time, this was mainly down to the poor standard of food. We returned two dishes as they were horrible and for the average price per dish we felt that this was unacceptable. The staff did offer a replacement meal which was ok. Upon checkout the lady offered us 10% off the bill. She also took my email address and said that the general manager would be in touch, this was a month ago and still no word. We also booked in for a massage for 10 am and didn't get seen until 10.30 as member of staff was late for work. Aside from this stay was comfortable and stafd were nice.
Ambience, Quality of staff, cleanliness, environment, location, friendliness
Love the location, the history of the Mill is amazing. Friendly staff, amazingly clean rooms and value for money food. Will recommend to anyone visiting Scotland.
There is nothing to not like.
The view of river and the sound if fast flowing wAter a great sound loved it x
Friendly helpful staff
Liked the cleanliness
Found room very cold Had to wait for my room when I arrived although I had let them know what time I would be arriving.
Hotel was rather chilly apart from reception area. could have done with heating being turned up a notch. This was commented by several guests, so make sure you have your jumpers with you. Although our room was ok , friends had a convertor heater in their room. ,Breakfast , you get a pot of water and a teabag of your choice . If teapot leaks you have quite a mess. However cooked breakfast was good. Much prefer they go back to the old way of proper service ,it was much better ! First time I have been slightly disappointed with this hotel
Friendly staff and good facilities
Bedrooms need updating. Bathroom musty smelling and shower temperature control terrible. Rooms drafty and noisy from sash windows and heater noisy .
bedrooms have just been refurbed, nice and modern bathrooms
a hot tub would be a nice addition to leisure facilities
Excellent service, comfortable rooms, excellent food, the position of the hotel in the heritage site, the sympathetic fitting out with touches of its historic past here and there. We also enjoyed the breakfast experience. It was also good to have local people in the hotel.
The heating was not constant throughout the hote with some parts being quite cool. Bedrooms were quite hot. Lighting fluctuated in the evening diFFicult if you have eye problems.
Everything was perfect, so restful .
Location was stunning. The hotel and it's building was awe inspiring. Nice staff and a great nights sleep just being cradled by the sound of the river.
