Friendly and convenient for our needs

Poor parking.

Clean, friendly. Good food. Owners could not do enough to make stay pleasant. Don't know where Lorna gets her energy from?

I have been goibng to Blackpool since my daughter was 4 years of age for a couple of days in October half term she is now 21 and its like a tradition with us, we have stopped at some very nice places during this time but I have to say that the Phildene was one of the nicest and cleanist and friendlist places that we have ever stayed at with easy reach to all locations, Lorna and John were lovely and we shall be going back again next year if we go.

Very friendly welcome on arrival. The treats in the room, chocolates and wine were lovely after a long drive. It was very clean with a great selection of toiletries. The breakfast was excellent.

location

lack of parking devoid of character advertised as 4 star, did not meet the description. communal areas, in need of t l c expensive at £115, as advertised in hotel at much less.

hotel is definy not a 4 star very basic more like 2 star , the owners gave us speach for 20 mins on arrival of all rules /regulations like going back to school , room very small , i actually have bigger walk in wardrobe at home , there is far superior hotels\ bb far better than this for lot cheaper . it is also stuck down a scruffy side street and could do with major upgrade .

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent with many choices. Bedrooms and bedding spotless.

Looks very dismal from the outside especially at night as no lights on perhaps this is a negative but the hotel would stand out more

The Phildene was immaculately clean and the couple that own/run it were fantastic,friendly,helpful and charming.

Everything a hotel should be- Great central location but quiet at night. Spotlessly clean. Lovely,welcoming owners and a fabulous breakfast.

We where made to feel very welcome, the breakfast was fantastic, and with a great choice. The location of the Hoptel was good. Lorna and John where a lovely couple.

The hotel was so clean the food was spot on , & the owners were nice & helpfull. Nothing was to much trouble for them , great hotel , we had a great weekend thank u . We will come back !!!!!!!

Nothing I just wish I had booked a bigger room the one we had was fine but a bit on small side .But a lovely room don't get me wrong ? !!!

Landlady very helpful and knowledgable and extremely welcoming

The attention to detail, cleanliness,helpfulness,quality of breakfast and little extra's in the room.

The car park is too restrictive on entry/exit timings. The bathroom was too small. There was no way to open the bedroom window for fresh air. Breakfast restricted to 9.00 to 10.00 am, not suitable.

The Phildene was very good. A good welcome, excellent breakfasts and very clean well serviced room.

A very warm welcome and willingness to help set the tone for the stay. A lovely, modern, well appointed & very clean room and handy location for the sea front made this an ideal choice for the visit to Blackpool. Excellent value for money, would definately recommend the NewPhildene

as we had an early start to get to the Golf breakfast wasn't served earlier enough

When I book a bed and breakfast stay that's what I expect not to be told breakfast is only served 9-10am. If breakfast is not available of any sort ie cereals/toast for guests who need to be out of the hotel early then a reduction in price should be offered. From my observations most of the guests during our weekend stay were there for the open golf at Lytham which did require an early start but as no breakfast was available we had an unexpected cost to buy out.

great welcome and freindly staff

It was central for all the Blackpool Attractions and very near the Tram Stop. We selected it because it was 10 minutes walk to Blackpool South Railway Station. We intended to use the Station to go the the Open Golf Championship, but it was closed for the period. Could not believe it. This completely upset our plans and doubled the time it took us to get to the course by Tram, Bus and a ten minute walk. This was not the fault of the hotel or you.

The Very Late Breakfast it was served at 9.00a.M. We went there to go to the open Golf at Lytham St Annes and would have liked Breakfast at about 7.30 to 7.45. By having late breakfast we lost about one and a half hours at the Golf Course. Have traveled all over the country and the world and have not come across such a late breakfast. In fact had we known the breakfast time, we would not have booked. Also, during the night the hotel was very hot, which made it uncomfortable for sleeping.

on arrival we were met by lorna and john who made us very welcome bringingt us a tray of coffee and biscuits. the rooms were spotlessly clean and decorated to the highest of standards. breakfast was all you could want freshly cooked as you ordered it one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in

Lovely couple run this hotel who were very accommodating. Secure parking to rear if you arrive early enough. Rooms very clean and a hearty breakfast with all the trimmings. Would definitely consider returning, when next in Blackpool. It's four star rating is why we chose the Phildene.

My husband and I recently stayed overnight at the New Phildene Hotel in Blackpool. I chose the hotel from the photographs that were available to see on line and we were certainly not disappointed. The hotel was lovely, with nice, fresh modern decor and the co-ordination of accessories to match the decor had the finishing touches. The owners were lovely people, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was exceptional with a choice of continental or English, and plenty to give you a good start to the day. The hotel is a minute walk away from the sea front and situated half way between the Central and South Shores, is ideal for all amenities. We would certainly recommend this hotel, and if we are ever back in Blackpool, we will definately be going back to the New Phildene.

Det var otroligt myssigt. Utmärkt service ,mysigt rum, bekväm med vin,choklad,kakor,te och kaffe. Otroligt frukost. Myckel väl omhändertagna av Lorna and John. Vi fick kaffe vid incheckning och trevligt samtal.
