Lift broke down once had climb to third floor WiFi was not set up all over hotel (yet)
Friendly Staff, excellent breakfast. good position, easy walking to all tourist spots
The hotel is tired & needs some repairs.
the breakfast the bar staff and prices and its location
the web pictures are not the same as what you get the rooms are poor quality and not very clean the hotel is poorly maintained awaiting to be refurb according to owner we will wait and see also right across is late night clubs that are very noisey
the room was lovely and clean bedding and plenty off clean towels very helpful staff
as walking problems having to go downstairs to dining room, the lift only went 2 ground floor and one morning went to go down and it was broke ,so had to go down too lots of stairs for breakfast ,but they did rectify it
The staff were very friendly and helpful
Wi-fi wasn't working and more attention to cleanliness needed.. ie.. Headboard full of dust and cobwebs and dust on pictures
Staff very helpful and friendly good atmosphere breakfast excellent would recommend and will be staying again
The staff and breakfast was ok although a little small
The room, the smell of damp, facilities in room were poor. Toilet door stuck, handle falling off, window did not open so is a fire hazard. Drawers fell apart when we tried to open them. Wardrobe was small you could not hang anything long in it. Curtains rail fell down when we opened and closed the curtains. Wallpaper peeling off and dirty marks on the wall.
Not one thing
First room we got was not fit for habitation, we took pictures, broken windows with massive gaps, dampness all over the wall, dirty old bed,, the room was very dirty overall ,strong smell of sewerage, second room had damp smell and fan didn't work in the bathroom which didn't have windows in , curtains where old and dirty and didn't fit window .2 of the 3 nights we had no heating and where very cold and had little sleep, staff where dirty looking and smelly, very unhelpful with all complaints, this was our honeymoon which they where informed about and this has ruined our honeymoon completely ,the pictures on this website are nothing like described, these are from years ago, even the front picture of the hotel isn't that colour
girl called michelle would not leave us alone smokeing allowed in hotel no bedside cabinet to put things was terrible place to stay at breakfast michelle kept listening to our confersations
Bathroom a little bit on the small side; did not get clean towels every day...but these are only minor dislikes in the overall scheme of things.
location of hotel, promenade and central pier
the many hen and stag parties as they were making their way home in the early hours of the morning, very rowdy
Clean beds, Good breakfasts, dining room staff excellent.
No soap in rooms reason giving health and safety issues. Beds not made , rooms not cleaned and dirty used glass with liquid and mould in it. Smell of sewage and garlic in bedroom. Bins in room emptied and cleaner put down toilet . We had to clean ALL surfaces as room was dirty. On the early hours of Tuesday morning someone approached bedroom door and walked away , this happened 4 times very scary to 2 women on our own. Put new roll of toilet paper on went down to breakfast and on return found it had been replaced with a used roll. Lift was very dodgy and I would not use it even although I have mobility problems.
The view was lovely, fantastic location, 10 min walk to the tower. :)
The hotel was very dated, beds really uncomfy. Breakfast was not appetising, breakfast room grubby and dated.
Location/ staff friendly/ fresh towels were provided each day/ tea-coffee facilities replenished each day
Hotel very run down/ dingy and scruffy / photoes on-line not representative of standard of hotel/ very disappointing
Location good break fest fair
Room needed refurbish shower disgusting no entertainment at all during stay
quality of facilities are poor and not much or not at all safety equiptment in place.
The New Promenade was clean and Friendly i would say family oriented, beds comfy the service was good and friendly housemaid knocked on most days asking if we needed anything there was brewing up facilities in room , its close to the Manchester bar and other bars and facilities you got what you paid for ...
My room window looked out onto a Kebab shop that was open until late customers got noisy most nights, also a Karaoke club that was open until 4am very loud, this could be good if this is what your looking for but not if you are trying to sleep, there were no towel rails or toilet roll holder so had to put towels and toilet roll onto window sill..
The staff were warm and friendly you felt welcome throughout your stay nothing was too much trouble
The staff here were very friendly and polite, hotel close to all amenities, we would stay here again !
We can't really say we didnt like anything, however we felt the room could be a little larger and air conditioned or a fan other than that lovely !
