Perfect location, I will stay again, very friendly.
the staff are so polite the room was clean and comfortable. was made very welcome
Great welcoming staff good breakfast
No TV working
The hotel was welcoming and friendly and the cleanliness was very good
The tv in the room was connected with some dodgy looking sockets, there wasn't enough car parking facilities
Had a brilliant time here. Will be booking again
Nothing we didn't even get to stay here as when we arrived they said there was no reservation
Everything we was in the building ten minutes and the staff was not even bothered we had nowhere to stay after travelling for 50 minutes
Nothing at all
Breakfast was cold, No hot water when running tap, Entertainment was not good at all, Carpets where to small for the room and not fitted well Dirty, Misrable staff did not smile Very uncomfatable beds and bedding smelt,
Staff were helpful
Hotel is in need of major refurbishment
two members of staff were quite pleasant and helpful.Cook/waitress and manager.MEALS were ok.
bedrooms were not very warm, drinks were quite expensive, tables in bar required to be wiped/cleaned.when booking it said only two rooms left this gave the impression hotel would be busy, this was not the case.expected live artists entertainment was karoke /disco?with four or six people in attendance .ENSUITES were to small not enough room to swing a CAT.AS THE SAYING GOES.
The were staff were very nice. The breakfast wasn't too bad the toast could have been a bit better.
No plug in the sink. You had to turn the hot tap on to get hot water for the shower. There was a drought coming from the window. The beds weren't made and no fresh towels. We stayed in our third bedroom which was ok. Very sorry wont be staying there again
Staff were friendly and courteous. Great service on Xmas day. We had breakfast, xmas lunch with wine. Plus a buffet at 13.00 and buffet at 22.00 Really nice staff who try their best to please customers. Value for money,on todays prices.
The only downside was the tepid shower, but central heating was perfect.
Friendly greeting on arrival by Scottish gent in reception.
Everything!! We filled the form in when booking stating we need three single beds.....but on arrival found one double and one single with about one foot of space between the two! When we questioned this, we were told that there were no such rooms! We had our reasons for requiring single beds and our Christmas was ruined with that plus.....no hot water for a shower or even a proper wash....a loo so jam packed into an alley which was called a 'bathroom' it was almost impossible not to hit your head on the washbasin when you used it.....beds that had no mattress protection with just a thin sheet flung over .....no headboard on the single bed......nowhere to even stand in the bathroom to get dressed.....and we couldn't even use the washbasin unless we stood sideways or kept the door wide open. The Scottish lady who served breakfast was rude and when we went to take two sausages harshly said it was only 'one' of everything! Toast was soggy bread....coffee was instant....and cereals were inedible cheap versions of the real thing! We had no sleep from.having to listen to every floorboard.in the building creaking as people walked by....and we couldn't wait to leave. There was no Christmas atmosphere and we feel we should have been paid to stay there! We had driven for 6 hours and wanted a shower but could barely even wash during our two day stay. We were on an errand of mercy to see our son who was going through a horrific divorce and having to cope with that and the lack of comfort and facilities at this so called 'hotel', compounded to make it our worst Christnas ever! We would not recommend it to our worst enemy! The room was barely big enough for one adult...let alone three!!!
The manager ( Tommy) and the cook (Joanne) were very helpful pity the owners never tried to help when there were issues.
Room was freezing floor off level hotel needed a good clean. Hot water was very sparse. Had to ask for a second heater for room and second duvet. Hotel looked as if it was about to start falling apart everything looked wet and damp. The hotel had guys painting when guests were in hotel. We would never book this hotel ever again. The stay was that bad we left a day early to return home.
I did like the location of the hotel,
The staff ie manager wasn't very nice, I wouldn't return to this hotel because of him! The rooms were extremely cold heaters not working, very thin covers.
The bed was ok...
The toilet didn't flush properly .only two tea bags, security light kept coming on all night outside bedroom window but overall no key to get into hotel had to ring doorbell or a phone number to be let in..stood outside in wind and rain.not good at all needed wellies for car park..full of potholes..Never again..
Awful, just awful. 1st room we were given was like a closet, so small not even a wardrobe. No tv just the ariel coiled on the floor. When I complained we were "upgraded" to a sea front room. The "upgrade" included a tv (didn't work) heating (didn't work), upvc window that let wind in so all you heard all night was a loud whistle and made the blinds sway. Room was very cold so complained to young person behind counter, told heating and tv would be fixed by the time we got back. Nothing was done. Found out in the morning the hot water also wasn't working so couldn't have a shower, had to boil kettle to wash and shave. Would rather stay at Fawlty towers.
Receptionist was rude left us waiting outside for 10 minutes and he said he was at the bar serving. Rooms were smelly dirty and mouldy Bedding was old torn and only given a flimsy quilt Toilet smelt like a sewer
The price; the location; clean comfortable (but smallish) room; good heating; nice TV; tea & coffee making facilites; nice bar; clean towels each day.
No lift (our room was on the 3rd floor); no remote for TV - when one was supplied the batteries were dead; charge for small car park at rear of the hotel; no working card machine - payment by cash only; dodgy plugboard for TV etc with some of the sockets only working intermittently.
It was dirty, smelly, and the last person would had the room left a review on the wall saying shot hole and my wife as long found a false nail in the bed..never ever stop there again
Not a lot
Broken bed. Cold water. No toilet paper
the location of the hotel
no heating on in bedroom, was freezing, had to ask for extra duvet's only had very thin ones on the bed's, no light in bathroom, toilet very noisy when flushed..hotel carpet's throughout are disgustingly filthy, paintwork filthy, bedroom very small for 3 guests, would never stay again or recommend to anyone, didn't dare try breakfast, nicer places nearby poor puddle filled carpark at rear! and badly lit back entrance to hotel
It was a good all round nice place to stay with a young family ;-)
