The room we had overlooking the garden, was a haven of tranquility, watching all the bird life in the lovely gardens. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The whole place is scrupulously clean. The breakfasts were great, with home made compote and jams. Our host and hostess couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The location is extremely quiet and peaceful. Wonderful place!

The lovely old house, and superb garden. The quiet little village setting. The proximity to many points of interest - Castle Howard, the National Park, White Horse, etc. But above all the very friendly, welcoming and helpful Bells, proprietors.

Can't think of any. Must be some!

The location. The building and garden. Breakfast - lovely smoked haddock. Overall a good stay if a tad pricey at £120 per night.

Bed was a bit hard. Towels were worn.

Really good break in this guest house. Very traditional, "country house" atmosphere on this old estate.Well looked after and owners helpful. Some good pubs close by. Good breakfasts.

Access means lugging cases a short distance as parking is around the side of the house and access at the front. Parking is also not signed
