Location Main hotel rooms tired. No attention paid by breakfast staff. Sausages probably the cheapest they could find.

The hotel was superb from the start and we did not want to leave. We were upgraded to the bridal suite on arrival and it is most amazing room to stay at,it is a seperate building designed in a round single storey building with the most glamorous decor we have ever seen. The staff were amazing and catered for our every need. The food was also amazing and enjoyed the 2 meal we had there .

I liked the friendly staff at reception and the comfort of our room, the bed was spot on, needed that after a good long walk I didn`t like the fact that I had requested a dozen red roses to be in our room as a surprise to my wife on our anniversary only to find....nothing, This makes me think whether people do actually read extra/special requirements prior to arrival

The staff were excellent. warm, friendly & very accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Pool needed updating, as did the changing room-too small.

Very friendly atmosphere, helpful. Nice outlook. Reasonable price for the rooms. As a bonus for animal lovers they allow dogs/cats etc into a few of their rooms (for a small charge) which open onto the garden. Hence the remaining rooms are animal free. Great for everyone. Overall a pleasant stay. Although the food was very good in the Resturant of an evening, I thought the prices were a little high for what you got. I am a basic good food person.

We were given a rather cold room on the ground floor as I had booked the last twin bedded room however we were changed to a family room which was warmer and well appointed, the meal was good and the service good However in our nice new bathroom we could not work the taps the receptioist eventually mana ged but admitted to a problem the previous week and she was not sure how she had managed, I had a bath but we could not work the taps again and in fact could not turn off the tap so had drip all night. The plug did not fit the basib . we mentioned this the following morning and the different receptionist knew of the problem and could not run and old mans bath she said. We did feel it should have been dealt with

Location/Outlook at the edge of Windermere Lake, ideal Reasonable Budget price for the area Good parking at the front of the hotel friendly bar, if a little small...but extends into a larger seated area Outdated decor throughout hotel, warn out looking, well past its best Poor water pressure when using the showers and worn fittings Large lcd tv of Spa/Pool in reception area on show to all....this was a an invasion of privacy. No reference or invitation to evening restaurant Breakfast bar facility poorly located next to Kitchen run for staff...busy area! Felt too dark throughout, depressive atmosphere

The evening meal and the breakfast was very nice, which by comparison with other hotels in the area, we have stayed at, represents good value for money. The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were polite and friendly. The car park was spacious. The place is a bit of a rabbit warren with lots of stairs and twisting corridors to negotiate with luggage. This could be a problem for less able people. The pool and gym area are small and can get congested if more than 6 people decide to use the facility. In the restaurant at the breakfast buffet the cereals etc. were located in a corner next to the staff kitchen entrance and at a 9.00am busy period it is a bit of a cramped scrum with guests and staff crossing each other. We ordered tea and toast but sadly we had to remind the staff of this as it had not materialised. I am sure the ordering system could be improved to avoid this.

We love the Lake District and try to visit it at least once per year. This was our second visit to Newby Bridge Hotel which is an ideal base, especially for touring the southern Lakes. We prefer to be outside the main centres, which are often very busy. Newby Bridge Hotel allows easy access to Windermere, Bowness and beyond. It is a family-friendly hotel with a warm and welcoming staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, and excellent cuisine. We benefited on both our visits from one of the hotel's frequent bargain offers, available on the internet, which allowed us to have a two-night stay at a reasonable cost. We also appreciated being able to park in the ample carpark immediately in front of the hotel.

The position close to Lake Windermere and near the new Holiday Property Bond location ofMerlewood where I attended the opening ceremony. The room had not been checked there was a dead fly/wasp on both window sills There was no bed side light and no facility to switch off the over head light from bed. This caused a problem as the room was in the eaves so it was difficult not to bang your head on the edge of the ceiling. There was hardly any room between the end of the bed and the wall No information in room of times of meals or hotel facilities The staff did not ask if everything was alright and on arrival. There was no offer of help with luggage nor did they seem to be concentrating on visitors and their welfare. Premier Inns offer better service and value for at least two thirds of the price! Good Location. Staff at Reception desk are good. Rooms are not cleaned daily. They only replenish bathroom toileterries and tea/coffee. Breakfast menu is constant - no variety of foods, nothing for vegetarian except toast!! Not even fresh fruit. There is no smile on staff's face - they are always under pressure and running around. At least we need smily faces to greet in the morning. Jacuzzi is very small for 2 people. All 4 nights we took dinner across the road as this hotel's environment was not welcoming but must say most of the staff at Reception Desk are helpful and welcoming. Whole hotel needs refurbishing from carpets to curtains.
