Friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of breakfast - included. Large, comfortable room, clean bathroom. Bit tricky to find but found it to be very central - went to a concert at City Hall and it was very near.

The staff were very friendly. My wife & I had a very poor night's sleep, due to: a) people shouting and banging on doors in the corridor all night; b) fire alarms activated at approx. 0530

Central location Comfy beds Breakfast Waitress at breakfast was so helpful about where we needed to go - she was a Northumbria university art student . Can't remember her name but she was great . The steak in the restaurant needed a hacksaw! And dinner service was so slow . Also the shower wouldn't turn off properly in the morning .

Friendly staff always willing to help. Price for a breakfast, as a pensioner I do not eat more than a slice of toast and a cup of tea so it was price wise expensive at £8.25.

Buffet Breakfast (English) very good) I don't Know if Continental visitors may prefer a bit more selection? but good for me. Choice of pillows in room good idea. Staff noted my request as light sleeper.

A great value hotel in central Newcastle, just a short walk from Eldon Square. All you can eat breakfast was great. The only downside was the small bath, but as I prefer to shower this had no bearing on things.

The location and the breakfast. The room (604) was very poor, to start with the heated towel rail did not work, the soap dispenser did not work, the overhead air con unit was noisy, the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work, the two beds were at different heights and to put the top on it the people next door were talking loud all night. For the price we paid for this hotel (£205 for 2 nights) I found it very poor value and I would expect some compensation for what was very poor standards within the hotel.

Staff very helpful and friendly and very apologetic when unable to put right problems with room. Gave refund for not having a good nights sleep. Additional bedding and heater supplied when asked for. The bed side light was broken and off the wall, reported it nothing done. The bathroom door was not secure ( sliding door)due to the design no stoppers at the bottom of the door reported it no action could be taken due to fault design. The room was a disabled room, bathroom large but the toilt had a push button flush which cannot be used if disabled person has problems with hand eg arthritis and unable to flush toilet. The bed was too high for disbled guest. When arrived at hotel approx four o'clock pm coffee machine in reception out of order and vending machine broken. When returned to hotel approx eleven o'clock only coffee available black and vending machine still out of order Room cold air con / heater noisy through the night.
