Staff and service were excellent. Good breakfast in the adjoining pub. Early hours of the morning we were disturbed by a party of young women, who were celebrating a 21st. They were shouting and woke us up.

Clean & comfortable room. Breakfast. Short timing from 7-9 only. Tea was cold. Hot food had to be ordered separately. Overall not worth the money.

I was using The Premier Inn Newcastle South as a stopover on the way home from Scotland so the location just off the A1 was ideal. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Beds very comfortable and rooms clean and functional. Breakfast good with plenty of choice. All you need for a 1 night stopover. The hotel itself is a little tired and in need of updating in some areas. The restaurant area is drab and dated and not very welcoming. The breakfast staff although friendly were not exactly professional and got every order wrong although it wasn't complicated. Also breakfast was only beteween 7-9 am and I saw a guest being refused any cooked breakfast at 9.01 am which I thought a little harsh!

convenient, Very pleasant helpful staff. Breakfast--- the notification saying 7-9 am was tiny on the breakfast card. Breakfast times must be more prominently displayed. We nearly missed breakfast and then only got the left over-- Poor toast-making machine.
