The staff at the New Central were polite and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit shabby and in need of an update. The communal areas of the hotel looked a bit grubby but our room was clean but basic. For £25 per night you are not going to get the Ritz, and considering it was including breakfast it's not a bad deal. Just a note, I was invited to go through the kitchen to move our car as we were parked in front of somebody else and the kitchens looked well fitted and clean. I thought it was good to mention this as it's not an area most guests would get to see. Just a good lick of paint and a deep clean in the communal areas would help to improve the first impression of this hotel

I liked nothing at all. I was very disappointed. The room was very small, only 1 channel on tv, 1 cup for 2 guests, powdered milk for beverages, bed was very low to floor and wrong way round. Breakfast was very greasy and made me ill. The picture of hotel is very deceiving it's not as it looks on photo. It needs a total refurbishment.

Although the hotel is a little dated and is in need of some TLC the staff are very friendly and helpful. I stayed on bed and breakfast tariff and can really recomend the breakfast, a good selection of cereals and fruit juice followed by a large full english with plenty of tea or coffee and toast.

Basic good value for money. The lifts were not working, which is bad when you have bags, small children and pushchairs. Our room was on the 2nd floor.

the location of the hotel was good, the staff were obliging and the breakfasts were good and tea and coffee was supplied in the rooms. the rooms were basic the doors in the 2 rooms we were in were sticking and from the noise when other guests were going into there rooms there doors were sticking too, i would say for an elderly couple it would not be suitable at all, no soaps or dryers were provided, the hotel in a word was tired and in need of repair.

The breakfast was very nice. The rooms were newly refurbished, beds were crispy and the staffs were good and had a helping mentality. They have a free parking facility as well, it saved my money.Rooms were small but clean with towels and one extra blanket as well. It was so noisy in the hotel in afternoon. Somebody was shouting and fighting (I think it was a party ) and I just wanted to escape from there as we had 2 kids also with us. I think somebody complaint about that and afterwards it was ok. The tv is so small and only had 5 free channels in it.In one of of room tv wasn't even working. And the worse thing is ,the lifts were not working and my room was on 3rd floor. You can imagine how horrible it is.

I only saw one member of staff - he checked us in on the Saturday morning, he was still on duty late on Saturday night, and he served breakfast the following morning. He was pleasant and hospitable despite his stress and tiredness. The hotel accepts single-sex parties. Fine if it's a group of nuns, but not good if a crowd of lads are in the room above, and caused noise until 3.20am. Room was dated and tired with paper-thin walls and an ill- fitting door. Breakfast was dire, with tinned mushrooms, cheap juice and rock-hard fried bread.
