Friendly staff and good big rooms
Restaurant was excellent
The bed was not nice either mattress or bed it's self had collapsed in the middle and didn't sleep very well at all
Allthough I ordered breakfast through Booking it was not passed on to the hotel, it was not a problem as the staff sorted it but shame Booking caused some confusion
the very helpful staff
The bed was very uncomfortable, the staff weren't that helpful in the bar, the food was very poor
Clean room. Bar not bad, but no Bushmills whiskey.
Bed was too soft, could have been used as a trampoline. WiFi is "free" if you don't mind signing up to Cloud. Not for me thanks. Asking too many personal questions. Most hotels have free WiFi, all you have to do is require a password from the hotel. Even Irish ferries supply it free.
Really helpful staff
Roll into the middle mattress, dirty feisty bathroom and cigarette smell
Cost and proximity of good food
Noisy fan in the bathroom
Location,car park,good value deal
room cold, couldn't sort heater out. No hairdryer Hot water took ages to come through in bath/shower. water left in kettle. poor meal in pub next door. Non-one asked if everything had been alright with our stay ..so didn't comment at the time. Would think twice about staying again
Most of the stay.
Constant noise of a fan or air -con unit running all night resulting in very little sleep.
Television screen in Bar
Stale cakes for breakfast. but it was 3rd of January and fresh deliveries might have been a problem
Location, free parking, easy access to M1, price, nice rooms at this price.
Continental breakfast is a bit thin. WI-fi was a complete mystery to us and we simply did not have the time or patience to go through the process. We used roaming instead and instantly. time is money, you know.
hotel was close to event attended. room was spacious. car parking good
room was a little tired, especially bathroom, no soap at sink. didn't like mattress cover on bed, made you sweat. tv volume was no good for my hearing problem. but .....
Excellent customer service. The first room we were in was very close to the heating ducts and as it was very cold (with laying snow) this was noisy in the night, but the receptionist was very helpful and moved us to another room as soon as we complained.
The noise from the heating ducts in our first room.
Fabulous friendly staff, comfy room, child friendly. Great value. Will use again x
No faults at all
was a wonderful stay staff were very friendly and helpful would stay again
Good staff, good size room. Good food just what I needed on my travels
The hotel is close to the M1 and Barnsley whilst being in easy reach of Leeds, Sheffield and West Yorkshire. The lovely South Pennines and Peak District are close by. Nice, clean room with large bath and hot shower. Bed linen crisp and clean. Staff very friendly, overall a good budget hotel
The hotel really need to invest in new mattresses for the beds. This is our second stay here and both different rooms have had uncomfortable beds with the springs coming through although for the price that we paid it was ok and fine for one night. Also the floorboards are quite squeaky. But for the minimal price that we paid and the rest of the hotel and restaurant being really good it wasn't a major issue for us. Overall very happy with the hotel
the staff on reception excellent
stayed in room 4 twin beds??? very narrow and they are on castors so if you sat on bed it moved and you could easily hurt yourself by falling off, again I cannot explain how narrow the beds were, impossible to turn over during the night or you fell out of bed
Kids zone. tea & biscuits
1) carpet 2) noise floor 3) staff attitude at reception
Reception staff at check-in were great - The room was clean, shower hot - good
Breakfast was a shambles. There were dirty tables, cold coffee, no water for tea. continental breakfast display was three tired danish pastries. a kiwi fruit sliced in half on a bowl of unappealing strawberries. Thankfully I ordered the full English or so I thought. I waited almost 45 mins for my breakfast to arrive. The long wait was enhanced by dirty tables with uncleared plates. My order had gotten mixed up with the table of five who arrived before just before me. My questions is why didnt this table have an additional breakfast? When I complained I was told it was my fault I had sat a dirty table and there were clean ones available. They were unable to point one out and instead told me the couple across from me had a clean table. Woohoo I wanted a clean table? I complained to the manager who was safely in her office and I received a refund. She informed me the member of staff was new. Why wasnt the manager on the shop floor during the busy time taking care of her customers and supervising the new, untrained staff. terrible experience. Will not use again
we like the freindly staff that work there so helpfull and kind
we had two meals there and i found my meals were over cooked i had steak pie on the sunday evening and my feeonsay had belly pork and she felt it was under cooked on the monday lunch we brought four members of our familly there for a meal and my meal was again under cook
Every thing was clean and tidy, staff very friendly. My first visit to ther hotel and I would stay there next time I in the area.
