Not a lot - the shower was pretty good, there was a kettle, take your own tea bags as they only supply 2...oh and your own sugar too. Bathroom was ok.
Bed extremely uncomfortable, floorboards creaked everywhere inside and outside the rooms.
We liked the way all the staff were willing to help us and accommodate is and our baby!
The floor board were so loud they woke up our baby every time we moved around!
Good carpark, big room, lift to bedroom floors and good pub food in bar next door.
WiFi is rubbish run through icloud, very slow and censored out other providers.
Breakfast finishes early. Single beds are very narrow.
Price Good sized room WiFi Proximity to M1 Tea & biscuits in room Plenty of car parking spaces
Kitchen ventilation audible (though not intrusive)
Friendly staff, good size, rooms excellent value and prime location for our needs.
Food in restaurant was only average.
Food was good.WI FI excellent.Location is good for me.
Week before I stayed in a double which was far better than the twin I stayed in this week. All floorboards creaked badly and the single bed was not very wide, very easy to fall out of as the mattress was concave.
This was my 3rd stay since the hotel opened 10yrs ago. This time was an awful experience - our room was filthy, clearly not been cleaned for months, cobwebs and beard trimmings over surfaces, the duvet cover was ripped, room smelt musty, chairs stained, bathroom flooring coming away and the bed extremly uncomfortable
Leaving on check-out.
Room seemed to be make out of squeaky wood sheet. Walking around generated lots of noise. Staff were very matter-of-fact. No nice polite welcome. Dining area staff similar. Just threw out breakfast. Sorry guys, if you don't want a job this is the way to go about it.
Food was excellent. Kids area was a bonus.
Breakfast was cold and poor quality, Room floorboards were creaking all night long with every movement. staff attitude was couldn't care less. wanted a latte coffee (I am willing to pay) but not allowed with breakfast just the stewed stuff in the pot
Friendly helpful reception staff. Good breakfast.
The double bed was formed from two single mattresses and not comfortable. There was no hot water in the morning.
Not a lot.
No handtowels 1 Bathtowel. Dust plus spider webs both in the bedroom and dining room. Bedroom floor noisy.
The weekend was made by Matt and Laura in the bar and Manager Paul. Special word for Matt he was excellent.
If you came in for breakfast off the street you got black pudding, but stating in the hotel you did not, but you paid the same price. Not impressed
location price and value for money
clean nice food friendly staff
as abovethe location not very good near factorys its like its on a industrial estate
Squeaky boards, bed linen was stained.
Efficient, friendly staff. Good bar/restaurant service. Overall good value. Good access to Barnsley - important for us as we were visiting relatives in the Town.
The beds ! Narrow and uncomfortable. I had to put my mattress on the floor to get any sleep !
Excellent food Very frendly and helpfull staff
Very creakey floors a lot off road noise.
It was nice and quiet as we were at the end of the corridor.
Just two sachets of tea was mean. More towels would have been great as towels were still wet from previous evening. Breakfast was too expensive for us.
Nothing to like as such
Floors creaked making for a bad nights sleep, breakfast has to be the easiest meal to make so why was it so poor?
Every thing excellent
Receptionist very helpful, the rooms were in being serviced due to our early arrival. There were no difficulties, we were able to relax with some tea etc. after a long journey and after about 20 minutes our rooms(2) were ready for us. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.
The manager interrupted my discussion with the receptionist without any comment or appology. He needs a lesson in good manners. The TV had problems that the room servicing had not taken note of. It was eventually dealt with by a member of staff. It would appear that the remote control had been stolen and the programming interfered with .Perhaps the telephone as well had gone walk-a bout as that too was missing.
Shower in room 41. Unable to drop shower, hair got wet. No shower caps.
The hotel lovely
Beds too narrow not quite a single bed
