Foyer, reception, bar/bistro and the restaurant.
1. There was no lift. 2. The corridors and bedrooms were 1960/70 vintage, with tired decor, carpets and fittings.
The hotel is next to a main road and also road junction that lets large buses out of the nearby terminal. Noise, even with earplugs will keep you awake till late at night. The stairs are very steep and twisty with no elevator so I would suggest it woulde not be suitable for for some people. When checking out even though it was only for b/b I was not offered my bill to check which I found unusual. So sorry I can't recommend this hotel
I liked the lounge area at reception area, nice comfortable seated area, relaxing!
Slow wifi which at times was non existent, beds not the most comfortable, food was well over priced... I feel the prices of the food should have been half of what they were!
the bar area was nice and the breakfast was excellent with a good choice.
Room was to warm and was noisy in the morning from the traffic on the Main Street.
misleading parking description - secure parking is very important
Restaurant was excellent, public areas of hotel very good.
Rooms were very basic, stained carpet, small ensuite, cheap furniture but obviously this is reflected in the price, which was very reasonable.
The service and quality
Room comfortable, clean and quiet Lounge area at front of hotel, very nice and comfortable
Breakfast abysmal. Full scottish Breakfast. consisted of 1 egg, 1 slice bacon 1 sausage, i tiny pancake, half a mushroom and half a tomato..Also our room was on first floor down endless corridors and offered no help with our luggage.
clean, cheap, handy for the races, central, parking fine, breakfast good, room and facilities fine.
noise from road traffic throughout the night disrupting sleep
lot of road noise in bedroom
location of hotel was really good, room was spotless
room looked dated and tired although was realy clean, mattress wasn`t good quality- very squeaky every time you moved.....
No where to park the car only in public car park, Bedroom very hot all though there was air condition unit still had to open windows as wide as we could view from the window was not much to be desired might make a good room for a member of staff.
Hotel was close to town centre. Cosy bar. Clean room.
Noisy room. Long wait for breakfast
The accomodation was adequate Reception and Bar area was in pristine condition
Drinks were expensive Food was expensive (Both In comparison to the rest of Perth) The entrance areas to the bedrooms. long and winding corridors and decoration left a lot to be desired. The bedroom was okay but again the layout and decoration was very poor
the staff and the food
stairs were a bit too much for me
No heating on a cold evening and no hot water for a shower before dinner. There was no hot water in the morning so I couldn't shave nor shower. Dined in the hotel at night and the meal arrived on a cold plate, chips were cold, steak was well done instead of medium as requested. We were told they would bring more chips but the waiter came back and told us that there was a problem and we wouldn't get them. We only stayed one night of the 2 we had booked
We really enjoyed our stay the staff were so helpful and very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Would def recommend this hotel.
Our room overlooked the road so heard the traffic passing
Enjoyed hotel but lack of sleep spoilt stay room too hot and bed nightmarep
Being on Main Street was woken very early by delivery traffic.
Dining room, lounge bar were very good. Breakfast super, ate out for dinner.
stair case was winding and narrow, a fire hazard. My husband found it difficult to climb.
The breakfast was good plenty of choice. The staff were helpful explaining the limited parking how the public parking across the road worked etc. The hotel was central to the town centre and an easy walk into to the bars and restaurants.
Strange room layout, very limited hotel parking so if you couldn't park at the hotel it was in a public carpark across the road where it was free on the Sunday when we stayed but had to get a pay and display ticket after 6pm which would be valid from 8am on the Monday morning until 11am (check out time).
The rooms were quiet once the windows were closed despite being on one of the busiest streets in Perth. The city centre is easily accessible on foot, as is the cinema and tons of restaurants.
The Bar of the hotel had food which was quite tasty, but was just not enough to get a normal person satiated; if you then order extra sides etc it becomes a little pricey
The hotel is in a good location and the downstairs areas inc reception, lounge, restaurant are all fine with pleasant and helpful staff
The accommodation was poles apart from the façade in reception. Small room, poorly maintained and seriously in need of refurbishing - especially the en-suite
Lack of any parking.
