The hotel has received 2 AA Rosettes for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the ingredients it uses.
Opus One is fast gaining awards and accolades and to date it has received the following:
A Silver Award from EatScotland, which is the maximum attainable for a new entrant.
A Platinum Award from Hotelreview Scotland, an outstanding award which is conferred on only a handful of the finest restaurants in the country.
A RedH award for hospitality, also from Hotelreview.
In addition, the restaurant was named ‘Simply the best Meal of the Year’ by the ‘Lady Who Lunches’, in the Perthshire Advertiser, December 2008.
The Place Bar & Gavin’s Bistro is a gastro-pub serving fresh, local produce. It is open for lunch, pre-theatre and evening meals.
The hotel’s bar has a real pub atmosphere and is a great place to meet up with friends.
Relax with a mug of Brodie’s coffee, accompanied by scones and lighter meals in the elegant surroundings of Café 22. The hotel's real pièce de résistance, Café 22 faces out onto the street and is bright and airy and filled with natural light.
Smoking:
All bedrooms are non-smoking. There is a GBP 50 penalty fee to be paid if you smoke in your bedroom.
Perth's city centre is compact with 2 large and open public parks - the North and South Inches on each flank and the mighty River Tay alongside.
Much of the Perth's High Street is a traffic free precinct with a wide variety of shops large and small. Many of the streets around the centre are comprised of elegant Georgian terraced houses.
Perth has probably always been a centre for farming and less dependent on the traditional Scottish industries of fishing, textiles and engineering. Not only did this give rise to it's relatively small size but also to it's air of prosperity.
The city is a bustling market town with much to offer the tourist including shops, galleries and theatre in the town centre and scenery, castles, history, walks and attractions in the country around. Near by is historic Scone Palace and Perth Racecourse.

The staff were extremely polite and helpfull, the service was excellent, breakfast excellent. The location was good in relation to shopping and other local facilities. Although limited hotel parking, ample local parking was available close by. The only problem I found was the noise from the busy main road. |

The hotel is centrally located, close to shops, restaurants, etc. The bed was comfortable, especially important when you have back problems, and the breakfast was cooked to order and excellent. |

Lovely food, well decorated. The room was far too hot to the extent that all 3 of us could not sleep. There was a portable air conditioning machine but it was not effective. However I found out the next morning that I could have opened the window! |

It is in town centre Room was to small ,to many stairs to our room ,sloping floor in room not good ,Parking was dreadful had to pay for this ,breakfast food was dreadful,buffet breakfast was a joke,Wanted to stay in hotel for evening dinner but not at those prices,Our room was at the front and the noise from the traffic was awful. |

The hotel was very convenient for the shops and train station. The noise from the function in the hotel was extremely annoying We were told it would finish at 11.00 but did not stop until 11.45 I understand from the receptionist that we were not the only guests to complain. We received a £20 discount from our bill which was a very nice gesture. |

We found the staff excellent and the Opus One restuarant was fantastic and we congratulated the Ryan the Chef. The amount of road traffic noise was a problem however it was in a great position for exploring the city. |

Easy accessible to all ameneties. The shower was very poor,no pressure and my partner had just recovered from a mjor operation but we were situated on the third floor making access to the room difficult. |
