New Flying Horse InnUpper Bridge Street, Wye, Wye, TN25 5AN Wye (Show map) Wonderful, Score from 105 reviews“A very cosy restaurant with delicious food and a welcoming feel with open fire and very friendly and helpful staff. Thanks to all. Anna and family.”
Anna,
Herts.
The New Flying Horse Inn is a 17th century posting house with oak beams and gleaming brasses. Romans, Saxons and 17th century smugglers have all left their mark on Wye, a historic village set in some of the most beautiful countryside in the Garden of England. The inn has 9 bedrooms all with private bathrooms. Some of the rooms are in a converted coach house. The hotel is located just off highway A28 between Ashford and Canterbury, in an ideal location to explore the surrounding countryside. The pub has a good restaurant serving excellent food, using mainly local produce when available. The attractive patio and large garden are popular for summer drinks. Canterbury with its historic past and many attractions is only a short drive away, as is Leeds Castle, said to be the loveliest castle in the world. The English Tourist Board Four Diamond Commended The New Flying Horse, now with wireless broadband internet connectivity. Hotel Rooms: 9, Hotel Chain: Shepherd Neame.

Evening meal was excellent Room was noisy at times due to sounds from water heating supply in loft above room. Breakfast was delayed by about 20 minutes for some unknown problem in kitchen dealing with the orders.

It was very welcoming and comfortable with excellant evening meal and good value for money and we will come and stay again and will mention the Inn to others We had an on and off sreet light outside our bedroom window which was very annoying and because of that did not have a good nights sleep__ that was the only thing that spoilt our visit

Room comfortable with a stylish bathroom. I was travelling with 2 dogs so was in one of the stable annex rooms which had an excellent layout for the dogs & I didn't have to take them through the rest of the inn. The room was a little on the small side for a double, if 2 people had been trying to move round the room it would have been difficult- not a big negative for me as I was on my own.

The whole Inn was very clean and well presented. The staff were excellent and the food was very good at a reasonable price. Breakfasts were excellent. Plenty of parking spaces. The grounds were well looked after and tidy for Autumn. If I had to be picky, I would suggest brighter lighting in the bedroom for reading and more vegetarian options on the menu.

Lovely setting - very quiet village - very friendly. Room was lovely and just right for our one night stay away from home. Dissapointed with food in restaurant, it had great reviews but sadly I picked the wrong things from the menu - although my husbands food was good. Breakfast was very nice the next morning.

The quality of room furnishing and comfort was excellent. Food served both at evening meal and breakfast was first rate, giving excellent all-round value for money. Entrance from Car Park a little dowdy and gave a bad first impression
