The New Flying Horse Inn is a 17th century posting house with oak beams and gleaming brasses. Romans, Saxons and the 17th century smugglers have all left their mark on Wye, a historic village set in some of the most beautiful countryside in the Garden of England. The inn has 9 bedrooms all with en suite facilities. Some of the rooms are in a converted coach house. The hotel is located just off the A28 between Ashford and Canterbury in an ideal location to explore the surrounding countryside. The pub has a good restaurant serving excellent food, using mainly local produce when available. The attractive patio and large garden are popular for summer drinks. Canterbury with its historic past and many attractions is only a short drive away, as is Leeds Castle, said to be the loveliest castle in the world. The English Tourist Board Four Diamond Commended The New Flying Horse, now with wireless broadband internet connectivity. Inn: 9 rooms , Hotel Chain: Shepherd Neame. The most recent booking for this hotel was made on 19 May at 11:07 from Netherlands.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Wifi in the bedroom The fact that the bar menu was available for dining in the restaurant. They phoned and offered to send on things we had left in a drawer The scrambled egg at breakfast was dry and tasteless. It had obviously been made in bulk some time beforehand.

Wye is a heavenly English village. I had a lovely room at the Flying Horse, which was clean and quiet and had a very large bathroom with a great shower. The window opened onto the garden in the back, and all I could hear was the soothing sound of the doves. Perfect.

Excellent staff, very good value, especially the food. Although there for business reasons, the surrounding area is beautiful and a good base for exploring Kent

Good, clean accommodation in a recently renovated English country pub. Cosy pub and dining room, with an interesting menu. Staff were attentive and efficient. Rien

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was a good size and comfortable, the food (dinner and the included breakfast) very good. It's great for couples - romantic, quiet but with character, good wines, good walks nearby and close to Canterbury. We hope to go again soon. Heating was too high for us, but that's just a personal preference.

The Inn is warm and inviting with real fires. The staff were very friendly and helped with my bags to my room. The room itself was lovely and absolutely spotless. I didn't want to leave. The breakfast was great and I thought for the money it was amazing.

The New Flying Horse in Wye was everything I could have hoped for and more for a relaxing weekend break for my wife and I. Our room was number 5, above the bar, literally! Upon arrival and throughout our stay the stay were very friendly, polite and professional. The room had lovely charm, low ceilings, exposed beams, uneven and creaking floor - exactly what I was looking for in a country pub. the room was also spacious with double sinks and a big bath in the en suite as well as an electric shower. The food in the bar downstairs was amazing with a good mix of classic dishes very well cooked with fresh, local produce. The breakfast was also very good with the chef willing to cater to requests. I recommend the New Flying Horse to anyone wanting a break in the country or even to visit nearby areas such as Canterbury and Whitstable Bay. Nothing at all!

We really liked almost everything. The staff were super, as was the room, our labrador was made very welcome and the dinner and breakfast were superb. The only criticism we had was that the bed in room 10 was very hard and did not allow a good night's rest. I have a tricky back but my husband doesn't and we both felt the bed was just too hard. This could be solved by adding a mattress pad to provide a bit of cushioning!
