Great breakfast and food in the bar. Prices in the bar were great. Kids bedroom was great with entertainment thrown in. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful I travel on business every week and this hotel is great value and a breath of fresh air Carpets were 1970s Shower was a bit small for me

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the best night sleep I have experienced in a hotel. Even though we were just off the queens promenade the walk to the center of Blackpool was a lovely walk as the beach was just around the corner from the hotel, and with having a young boy he found it wonderful to walk on the beach to the tower. Good English breakfasts were served with a good choice of extra option I.e mushrooms and even black pudding which other hotels I have stayed in don't do. The only thing I could really comment on was that the towels were to small to wrap around you when you had finished in the shower.

An very friendly service provided by the owners. Some of the facilities provided are well above what you would expect from a small hotel and the breakfast is out of this world! We would definitely return to this hotel. Some of the decor is a little dated as Rhona and Simon renovate the property and the walls are a little thin so if you get noisy neighbours you may get disturbed.

Simon and Rhona are very freindly and the hotel is realy clean. The service is excellent on all levels and the breakfast is the best I have had anywhere, the choice and freshness is fantastic. It was my second stay there and I was welcomed back like an old friend. I made the comment of "I arrived as a guest and left as a friend." There were several other guests who were return guests some for the 6-7 year and several times a year. That speaks for it self as I for one never repeat a bad experience. The attention to detail is second to none. The hair dryer iron and ironing board in the room was an unexpected touch. The beds were comfortable and the linen top quality Egyption cotton. I dropped my magazine down the side of the bed and had to move the bed to retreave it and it was as clean under the bed as around it. The room was compact but functional the price reflects this all in all excellent value for money. Leaving!

From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Simon. The room was very spacious with everything we required plus numerous extras. The room had another adjoining room for the kids, this also had a toilet and shower with tv etc. The breakfast was excellent, everything on offer. Overall an excellent stay with no faults whatsoever.

The Atmospehere created by the owners is second to none! The kids were not only welcome but better catered for than anywhere else iv ever been which is brilliant in my opinion! Nothing is to small and they will go out of their way to make your trip as relaxed as possible! Yes the hotel needs some modernising but I hope they don't lose the old relaxed atmosphere that the place has by foing this. I can't wait to go back :) Needs some modernising but again I actually like how it is. It creates a lovely atmosphere

We stayed here for valentine weekend and in a standard room we had a four poster bed!!! The breakfast was fantastic and the owners where lovely. The bar was brilliant value and we had everything we needed in our room from an iron to a Stella fridge. Can't wait to go again. It is about a 20 munite walk to Blackpool tower but is a lovely walk along the sea front or down back roads with many pubs to go in.

A rather eclectic setting which is rather cluttered but fascinating nevertheless. My room was a little below par but fully functional and quiet (towards back of the building). Breakfast was wonderful. Beautifully served and very tasty. Good location as long as you don't mind walking to town. Great value! Carpets needed vacuuming and it's a little too cluttered which leads to the public areas feeling a little cramped. Small points as this is a nice place to be.

“My first time staying at a hotel in the UK, so nothing to compare it with, but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were polite, helpful & friendly, hotel was clean & warm, & I was allocated a room that I considered to be excellent value for money. The food was good (particularly the salmon) & the bar had a decent range of draught options available (including an excellent mild).” Aleks, Birmingham |
