Score from 706 reviews Very good
every thing especially the restaurant and the pub staff are very helpful and kind
Room was standard Premier, comfortable & clean.
Only used room to sleep for one night. after attending a wedding reception. Room was no 3 on ground floor. Late check in, early check out. Not sure about location or anything else for that matter.
Good nights sleep, comfortable room and everything you need
No lift, if getting on a bit a struggle to carry suitcase.
The drains were blocked so that the toilet nearly overflowed and the bath did not run out properly. Unfortunate but these things happen. It was being dealt with. Hotel badly signposted from the road. No airconditioning.
We have visited this PI twice before and have enjoyed it. The staff are good and the location is good with parking available.
This time we noticed that there was a dirty cutlery and dishes in the restaurant, the room was not as well turned out and the bed softer and less comfortable than before. It's a reasonable standard to for PI and not bad value for money but we were less than impressed with the cleanliness slip ups.
The TV kept jumping. Room to hot. The pub next door was below poor quality. Knowledge of area by staff poor. Mattress to hard. Shower is defo to slow.
Very friendly staff
Having arrived soaked through on an exceptionally wet day (bike rider), one of the staff did offer to dry my outer garments - definitely a bit above Service expected.
Arrived 25 mins before the check-in time of 2 pm and was told I had to wait until 2 pm. Eventually was booked in 10 mins early
Can`t fault the hotel or staff they do a excellent service.
Needs a lift . Was greeted with house keepers carrying hotel laundries up the stairs, not good for the staff to start with or for get your suitcases up stairs
Good hotel, good facilities, good service.
A bit difficult to find the location. Post code doesn't show on the Sat Nav.
large room 3rd bed with special pillow preventing my toddler from falling of the bed all together good hotel for the money
The cleanliness throughout. Very polite staff. Good room facilities.
The building adjoining the hotel where we ate is very tired & scruffy. Also old pallets & boxes strewn about the place.
Very quiet location right next to Newhaven Ferry Port, affording very easy access for the next morning. Breakfast was cooked fresh for us rather than the usual buffet, breakfast staff very helpful.
No air conditioning available - not usually a problem but it was on the 23d July this year. Especially after a long, hot journey down from Cheshire. We were given 3 fans which helped. The bar in the attached pub had closed at 11pm which meant the much needed cold drinks were not available....
needed one more chair in the room
Staff marvelous, rooms large and clean, location ideal before taking the ferry back to France
No restaurant of its own, and food in the pub attached to the hotel appalling
Staff were very helpful
No air conditioning, poor choice for breakfast. Tricky location, drove around the traffic island several times. Poor night's sleep
It was quiet, clean and had not double booked us like we had previously experienced the previous night at another place we had booked with Booking.com
Location wasn't obvious in the dark and we drove around a while to try and find it. Eventually found it because it was next to the Brewer's Fayre which did have a sign you could see from the road.
Location was fine - although not that clearly marked up from the roadside
The room was far too hot - two fans blowing hot air around all night made it noisy as well. The temperature didn't go below 26 degrees which doesn't make for comfortable sleeping or even just sitting in the room.
Having the Drove bar and restaurant next door which provided a good breakfast and meals in the evening, very good if you had children with you. The staff at the Premier Inn were very helpful at all times
No air con so had to have fans on all night
The efficient booking plan...friendly staff....24 hr. desk staff....well thought out bedroom for the disabled....clean room and.linen. .low and comfortable bed ...easy room locking system.
I really can't think of anything.. except maybe the signs for the Inn could be a little more prominent at entrance after Sainsburys.
As previously communicated the shower head was leaking from the connector and this could not be resolved and the poor water pressure in the basin
everthing was excellent, we had travelled down from Manchester with my disabled mother it was a horendous journey of 9 hours, but we arrived to a warm welcome from all the staff, my mother needed extra help and nothing was too much trouble, the beds were very comfy, the breakfast were of a fantastic variety and busy friendly barstaff again excellent.
for us there was nowhere near to walk to for a stroll, a bit out of the way and the Newhaven town center seem to be going down hill fast. Nevertheless Brighton & Eastborne were a short drive away where there is plenty to do
Clean comfortable and friendly staff
quick efficient service, nice staff
- loud neighbours (in next room) - persistent door slamming in corridor - promise of the good nights sleep guarantee that was then left undelivered Newhaven is a bit of a dump
