WIFI poor - non existent in the room we had. Not enough power points - had to move a large piece of furniture just to access one to plug a hairdryer in.
Decor of room very much to our taste. Spacious and well maintained with a lovely contemporary feel.
the hosts and the style of venue
Too many gherkins on meal. No bath in room
The room was very nice
The area was a bit secluded but the hotel provided everything you needed.
The staff, food and drinks were great. The room was amazing and it was just a nice get away
Lesley the manager/landlord is the rudest most obnoxious person I have ever dealt with.
A really enjoyable stay in a gorgeous location. Food was better than outstanding with extremely attentive staff. Definitely the new New Inn, well done, will return
Good food and good draught beer
The Staff and Owners are down to earth and give the service and make you feel welcome at the same time.
Wifi wasn't brilliant took a while to get on then you could only use it for half an hour
Room was immaculate very comfortable and welcoming. Bed was beautiful. Bar and bistro again very comfortable lovely food and good value
Lacked cosy feel, barman did not smile, breakfast bar too cramped in the corner of dining room.
Very clean and nice renovation, comfortable room, lovely bath, good evening meal.
Already stated above nothing to add
No seating in the room when we arrived but it was sorted when we asked.
Good welcoming atmosphere and nothing was to much trouble.
The only thing I didn't like was the bowl of instant coffee granules at breakfast, so I had tea with not very hot water. Have always had filter or similar everywhere that I have stayed
Rooms, Decor, Restaurant
Not so keen on the food - ordered tempura vegetables with pesto and humous - what I got was tempura with oil, soya sauce and some other oil concoction which was horrible.
It was very clean and comfortable.
Front bedroom - lovely - but smokers congregated outside meaning it was noisy until late. Poor insulation between connecting rooms meant that we heard everything going on in the adjoining room leading to a disturbed nights sleep. Did not bring it to hotel management as it was relatively minor when all else considered
Location Facilities Restaurant choices Decor Staff - helpful and courteous Flexibility
We didn't get the room we had booked. We were kept waiting to be seated both for evening meal and seated ourselves for breakfast. Seemed to be short staffed.
The food was delicious and the decor of the hotel was lovely. Staff when available were very friendly.
Nothing - even walking in the rain was a pleasure knowing that the New Inn would be welcoming us back.
Everything. Roy the Landlord picked us up from the station and looked after us all weekend. The food was amazing and with a selection of ales to add to the pleasure.
Very clean, well appointed rooms. Food and service excellant even when busy.
No champagne in room on arrival as we had requested But it didn't really matter!
SUPERB food - excellent restaurant!! Lovely service Perfect location Excellent service
Restaurant staff were friendly and clearly knew their stuff; their service was good - it would be excellent if they could just lighten up and smile a bit :)
Beautifully renovated accommodation and communal areas
At times long wait for service in dining room
Overall a friendly establishment - bedroom superb with really exciting dinner menu
As noted on a review in June 2014 there were no spoons with the breakfast jam and marmalade and that was still the case at the end of July. For the price we paid for our room, breakfast was a do it yourself system, only the cooked breakfast was brought to the table. Tea/coffee was self service, bread was available to toast in the toaster provided and the fresh fruit was a few blueberries and strawberries.
Location. The owner did explain that the hotel was in the middle of a mass refurbishment. Our luxury twin room overlooked the beer garden which could have been a problem with noise on what was a very warm evening. Not sure what the term "luxury" meant. The evening meal in the restaurant was fine .
The staff were very attentive, friendly and polite. The landlord was friendly and charming..
Mirror in bathroom too low. Need more shelving in bathroom. Only one chair in bedroom.
Excellent décor, Staff very friendly when I could find them! Architecture. Good sound insulation. Spacious comfortable bedroom. I'm no judge of food, but it seemed fine to me. They're getting there, but there is a little way to go.
Bit on the pricey side for a country village inn
Rooms were spotless. Quality of food excellent
