The food I was served for dinner on Sunday night can only be described as atrocious. The chef/cook should not even have let it out of the kitchen. My wife's dish was a bit better. I noticed other diners complaining - heard "diabolical" in one person's comment! Evidently a la carte not available on Sundays but we were not told this until we sat down. Value for money score is purely due to this, otherwise it would have been Good. Otherwise a nice little hotel but it was spoilt by this meal.

Great location in Jesmond , quiet location , easy access to metro and easy walking distance to nice bars and restaurants and only a 20 minute walk into city centre. Comfortable bed , tea and coffee making facilities. Great value for money. Friendly welcome on reception Bathroom could have been cleaner , skirting boards dirty

The location was quiet and away from the humdrum of the city. Very little private parking, although the area was quiet and residential.

I loved the hospitality and attentiveness of the staff. Helpful but discreet and not abrasive. Good location I liked the fact it was on a main road full of hotels restaurants and very lively night life but it was located at the quiet end of the street and the noise from parties going on wasn't disturbing m sleep. Positively surprised that breakfast included in a room price consisted not only of some pale croissants and random selection of yoghurts but also full english breakfast with many options to choose from.. Very reasonably priced. Lovely spot for a weekend break 20 minutes walk away from newcastle main shopping streets 5 mins away from vast park spaces and right in a middle of beautiful distinguished suburb. I did't like the fact that the bed was located along the corridor wall. Could hear people moving around too early in tthe morning. Room would feel better and look better if the bed was located next to window.

Asked for a room on the ground floor as one of our party is disabled..Did not pickup on the website that there were no ground floor rooms and not even a lift. Was disappointed that no one got back to me about this. Our friend struggled with stairs but managed.

Very well designed room with plenty of space for a single traveller. Despite being the first into breakfast at 8 am on a Saturday the breakfast had obviously been pre prepared, had clearly been reheated and was congealed, very disappointing considering everything else about the hotel.

The hotel is what it claims..a good quality 3*. Great location in that it's on a main road but a quieter part. Helpful staff. Arrived early + got in our rooms no problem. Rooms were clean + very comfortable. Breakfast was made to order. Quick efficient service. Cannot fault the hotel at all. Would definately stay again.

The hotel was in a great location for Newcastle city but far enough from the centre to be lovely and quiet. Staff were great. Didn't eat there so can't comment on quality. Definitely stay again if visiting Newcastle
