Its a very nice and clean Hotel , the staff were very pleasant ,and the cooked breakfast was superb , the tv in the room had lots of channels. My sister thought the pillows were a bit hard but I liked them like that . we didnt want the room cleaning so left a do not disturb on door ,the maid still left us clean towels and coffee ,milk and biscuits hanging on the door outside .I would certainly go back |

Staff very friendly and helpful, good location outside centre of town so less noisy, no problem parking Only problem was that the wi fi was not a secure accredited site so was unsure about using it |

To be honest any hotel in Newcastle within 15 mins of the Metro would come up as good for location but at least the New Kent was at the quiet end of a busy (nightlife) road and staff were helpful. The double bed was at least 8 inches too short - and I'm only just 6 feet tall !! |

There was a strange, bad odore when i first entered my room. When i got into bed i realised that the smell was coming from the bed linen. It stunk of stale tobbacco, a horrible sickly smell! By this time it was to late to do anything about it. |

The room though small was clean and comfortable. Food was fine, and generous portions. Good shower. Felt quite comfortable as a lone female traveller. It was hot weather and the room was quite warm. The boiler was being serviced so there was only a trickle from the wash basin taps. There was a notice about this at reception but it was not drawn to my attention and I only spotted it later. Parking at the back is limited. |

Dining room with excellent menu and attentive staff open until 9.00pm allowing you to relax over supper after a long drive. Good simple non-pretentious wine list at a reasonable price. |

The staff were very nice and the breakfast was good It was an average hotel. There is no lift so a disabled person would have trouble |

The only reason I booked was because I need a smoking room and was offered one. On arrival I was told that there were no smoking rooms at all. I was misled by the hotel's web site and the booking.com web site. |

I liked the cleanliness and value for money that the hotel offered. The staff were very friendly, and they happily looked after our luggage before and after our check in times, to save us carrying it around with us around Newcastle! |

Located away from the City Centre, which at least ensured a good nights sleep. And, for the record, we found Newcastle to be a great city with some very friendly people. Everything creeks. Our floor creeked badly which must have annoyed the guests below and, likewise, the floor above our room made a lot of noise. Also, when we arrived we were put in a room that had not been made-up although that was apologetically rectified by the man on reception. Still, not a good first impression. |

The cleanliness and quietness inside the hotel was first class with a well laid out provision for breakfast. Although the staff were quite efficient I found that the general atmosphere appeared to be too formal for the size of the hotel. |
