Great location: Hyde Park walking distance. Public transport, especially regular buses, take you into central London easily and quickly. Tube 5 mins away. 15 mins easy walk to Paddington.Lots of restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. Very quiet location. Brilliant all round stay.
Very clean and tidy hotel. Room quite small but very comfortable. Nice bathroom. Friendly staff. VERY clean.
Everyone was very kind and helpful. The hotel is very clean.
I didn't lifke the fact my room was at the basement. The window view was a white wall (they could have placed a tree plant or something). Also the floor was cold tiles. Not exactly what a room from the site's photos looks like.
The young guy at reception was super helpful, he answered all of my questions about the hotel and the neighbourhood. There are restaurants and pubs nearby. Bayswater tube station is 1 minute away, Queensway and Notting Hill are very close too.
It was not exceptionally bad but a bit weird that my room was inside the breakfast area.
Nice breakfast, good spot.
Very small room.
We liked location and staff at hotel. Parking was also not a problem.
Asked for family room but was given room with three single beds and one travel cot. No partition so 2 yr old and baby disturbed both nights as wouldn't settle.
Polish staff shouting at midnight behind my door ultra small room invoiced twice :-(
The grand-looking building and position on beautiful London square with easy access to Holland park, Notting Hill, Paddington etc.
Tiny room (for three of us), sockets and light switches in inconvenient places, no extractor in bathroom. Room too hot overnight. Room not overly clean.
Quite small rooms, with double bed against the wall (standard double room). Bathroom very small which is not an issue in itself but the fact that the shower had two small walls and no screen or curtain meana the entire bathroom gets completely soaked every time the shower is used!
The staff was very friendly and understanding and gave us a larger room for the same price for the two remaining nights.
The taxi driver the hotel ordered for us, when we went for dinner, charged too much and had no clue where he had to go!
Lobby and halls were very nice. Breakfast was continental and tasty. Bed was large and comfortable.
Bathroom let it down. I asked for a room with a bath as I have arthritis and need to soak but the plug didn't fit. The shelf was steam damaged and the windows didn't shut properly leading to drafts. Was there free WiFi? No one told us.
* Good/Safe Environment *Reasonable Price in London * Kind Staff * Good WiFi connectivity
* Bit far from the center of London * Noise of floor * Weak power of shower
We are a family with two adults and 2 teenage kids so we were most positively surprised to find the family room much better than expected. The beds were perfect with two separate good sized beds to the kids and then in a separate room a king size double bed formthe adults.
The brekfast was perfectly ok but if one wants to have a great breakfast experience with multiple choises and nice brekfast lounge, this hotel is not for you. Nothing wrong with the food or enything, all was ok and clean/fresh but dont expect to sit and enjoy yourself.
A very pleasant hotel in a quiet Notting Hill street just a 5 minute walk from a bus stop where you can catch the bus straight to Oxford St or Picadilly Circus. There are so tube stations nearby - maybe a 10 minute walk. The room was elegantly furnished and the bathroom was well equipped and toiletries were provided but both rooms are VERY small. Plentiful breakfast served in a light and airy basement room.
The size of the room.
Decent size room, good location.
Wanted a double, didn't get a double. Didn't realise until getting in to bed at 1am so not much could be done. Disappointed.
Free wifi Location
The staff was helpful, Good location of the hotel, everything was clean and fairly good looking.
The room was small (4th floor, attic), The breakfast is very basic, and the free Wifi was mostly unusable.
Me and my partner stay for the weekend. hotel was very clean. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Location, relatively clean. Helpful staff
The shower had no shower curtain. After showering we had to wipe the floor and toilet in the bathroom because it was all wet. The room was quite small
I found the hotel was good value for money considering its situation in London. It is within 5 - 10 minutes walk from Bayswater and Queensway tube stations. There are a selection of restaurants and the local pub within 2 - 3 minutes walk from the hotel. I found the staff friendly and welcoming. I would certainly stay there again.
Although the breakfast was generally good it was strictly continental. It would have been nice to have had a hot English alternative particularly during the cold winter months. After all the hotel is in the English capital!
Staff, location, bathroom, Wi-Fi
No air-conditioning, no bottled water in room. Room 12 has a generator outside the window so very noisy at night.
Staff could not have been more helpful or polite, from porter, desk staff to breakfast staff. A very substantial continental breakfast set us on our way each day.
On our first night we had a very, very small room. One of us had to exit the room for the other to get dressed. I asked the duty manager if there was an alternative and next day we were moved to a large triple family room at no extra cost.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I got upgraded from a single to a family room, which was huge. Super clean. Wifi working well. Good breakfast included in the rate. Fantastic location in quiet neighborhood close to nice restaurants and Notting Hill station.
Taste of the interior is certainly debatable, and the mattress wasn't the most comfortable one - But overall haven't received that good value for money in a while.
Staff were very good. In particular the Australian waitress working during breakfast. I had asked her for a weak cup of tea on my first morning which she brought me with a lovely smile. On the second morning she brought me the same without even asking! Gold star definitely! Also, rooms were kept very clean with plenty of storage for putting clothes in & for putting suitcase away. I will be using this hotel again & again for my trips to London.
Beautiful clean wooden floor was unfortunately a bit noisy to walk on. I felt very guilty when I got back at midnight following an evening out to see Strictly Come Dancing Tour as I felt I would be disturbing my neighbours!
Good location, very friendly staff, room small but comfy
