Very friendly personal, as well in the reception as well in the breakfast arera. Centrally located, within walking distance to the tube. Although recommended and nice interior: Avoid room number 14 and 15: too near to the elevator and the reception, one can follow each word guests and receptionist are changing during the night. The window opens to the backyard, if you are lucky to have good weather hotel guests watch you from the lounge in the backyard. Smokers may stand under your window in the basement letting the bad smell in your room. The bathroom was really very small. The rainshower was more a "pocket of drizzling". Breakfast as announced is continental: cut meat looks as coming from a pupil chemistrybox, but fruitsalad was fresh everyday and buffett never was empty!

Clean. The room was very very small, in fact the place was only for bed. The heating was not working and TV as well was broken.

For a London hotel the room was fairly big it was very clean, the staff were really good, couldn't have asked for more for a 1 night stay. The bed was a bit hard and the breakfast wasn't brilliant.

There was no hot water two days in a row. Which scuppered our morning plans on both days of our stay. 1 day is just about excusable, 2 days is not. The showers have no doors or bath sheets/curtains. This meant that even the most careful bather in the world would still end up with water all over the tiny bathroom. When I went to reception to question why we had no hot water or even lukewarm water, I also asked the reasoning behind having a completely open shower. I was told this was due to health and safety (I forgave the cliche) in case the shower curtain were to get mould and cause a hazard. Obviously the next question was did you really believe that some mould on a curtain posed more of a hazard than a slippery bathroom floor covered in water. I was offered extra towels to put on the floor. I don't blame the reception staff who are essentially forced to defend this rather odd decision. This is not only imbecilic management, bloody dangerous but quite frankly unacceptable. I am 23 years old, this was the first time I had been to a big hotel in the West End and I paid what is to me, an awful lot of money. I was very disheartened. I stayed in a Travel Lodge in Finchley only weeks before for about 25% of the price and recieved a better service. The room was tiny, essentially just a double bed and a window! The travel lodge was roomier.

I got a very small room, but it was clean and comfortable. Tiny bathroom, but again clean and nice. In my tiny room I didn't have where to put my things (only on the floor). But it's a minor drawback.

Location is good. The first room was very small and the space was very bad organized, we did not have space for anything. The next day we were moved in a larger and nicer room. The shower does not have any curtains so taking a shower wets the entire bathroom. The breakfast should improve.

Staff was wonderful and very helpful with booking cabs....helping with lost luggage. Even helped us with a few snacks on one of our early morning tours. Room was just too small. Made it very hard to move around and live out of our suitcases.

Clean and tidy Double room small with only a single chair, no real storage wardrobe space, a shoer with no screen which meant water cascaded all over the floor in the small ensuite every time someone had a shower.

Very clean, comfortable hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We left our luggage at the hotel as we had arrived early and when we returned it had been taken to our rooms. My room was directly next to the lift and proved to be very noisy although obviousy it was in good repair. We were disappointed with the breakfast. Nothing hot was provided and there was a scarcity of fruit, only two choices of cereal and not even boiled eggs. I have stayed at the nearby Henry v111 Hotel several times recently and while it is slightly more expensive the breakfast is infinitely more satisfying.

The hotel is located in the quiet place! Only a few minutes from the underground station. Wireless internet working well. You can store your luggage in the day of leaving. Room was very small - there is no place for a chair. You must sit at the bed having your laptop or book on your knees. Breakfast of moderate quality. Shower is open and you must clean the bathroom floor after you take a shower. Shower head was attached to the wall what I do not like very much.

Clean, fresh, smart. Great location and quiet. Breakfast included. Excellent value for money. I doubt if there is a better deal around ! I had a double room which would have been small for two for more than a night or two stay, but was fine for one person - but high ceiling avoided room being too box like and lovely opening sash window.

Location and very friendly and professional staff, high standard for reasonable price. The single room I got was in a basement. It did have a window but you would want to open it anyway because of the hotel staff taking their trips in front of it for most of the day.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, and the room was kept clean. The hotel is in a nice area close to Notting Hill and Bayswater tube stations, so there is plenty of choice for places to eat/drink within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Would recommend.

It is a small thing, but there was no bathtub. Travelers from different countries are used to different home comforts, and one of our preferred comforts is a bathtub.

In this price bracket, this must be one of the best hotels in London - small rooms as expected, but whole hotel is furnished to a high standard. Quiet location yet close to all amenities and a fantastic Greek restaurant nearby. Breakfast good quality and plentiful. Please don't stay here or I won't be able to get a room next time!:) Small room but not as small as many in this price range
