Very friendly personal, as well in the reception as well in the breakfast arera. Centrally located, within walking distance to the tube. Although recommended and nice interior: Avoid room number 14 and 15: too near to the elevator and the reception, one can follow each word guests and receptionist are changing during the night. The window opens to the backyard, if you are lucky to have good weather hotel guests watch you from the lounge in the backyard. Smokers may stand under your window in the basement letting the bad smell in your room. The bathroom was really very small. The rainshower was more a "pocket of drizzling". Breakfast as announced is continental: cut meat looks as coming from a pupil chemistrybox, but fruitsalad was fresh everyday and buffett never was empty!

really clean spotless room, pure white bedsheets, flat screen tv in the room, staff really helpful, we got a good size room away from the lift, tea, coffee facilities in the room, great location for notting hill etc, it was winter ( snow) and we had the heating on full it was great. happy with the price for winter, the only down fall was noisy wooden floors in the room, the worse i have even encountered, they do need to sort this out, i was kept awake at night for hours, it kept waken me up, when the people next door were walking about, and for that reason i couldnt stay here again, breakfast was tea coffee, orange- apple juice, water, weetabix, alpen, apples, prunes, fruit cocktail, yoghurts, toast, ham and cheese, mixed breads, wholemeal- white, ( continental), thats it, this was ok for us. 1 fault for me, the wooden floors in the room, creaking really bad, i was kept awake until 2.30pm, with somebody next door walking about, i got woken up about 8 seperate times from 10.30pm - 2.30pm, i have stayed in many many hotels and this was the worst one i have every stayed in with creaky wooden floors, it was really bad, then i was woken up at 6.30am, with the noisy floor boards creaking, that is my only complaint.

Recently refurbished to a high standard. Good facilities including free WiFi. Soundproofing poor. I could hear movement on creaking floors from an adjacent room and from the room above.

Quality of the geographic situation in Notting Hill, a lot of good restaurants, the reception is very nice and helpful, and opened 24h/24h. A little bit noisy, you can listened during the night your neighbor talking

We liked the decor of the rooms Did not like where our room was as it was on the ground floor right next to reception and lift between the two of these we were kept awake all night. Also we were a few mins before 10am when breakfast finishes when the male waiter took away the meat dishes right in front of my face smerking!!!!!!!!!!! He was told straight away from someone above him to put them back, just thought this was so rude.

The room was clean, comfortable and had enough space for the four of us. It was a good surprise! The breakfast was very poor. We expected at least the typical english breakfast.

Hotel was excellent for people on a city trip that won't be in their room often, but when they do, there will be a nice room with very comfortable bed waiting for them. The staff were very helpfull and friendly and the breakfast was top of what you are allowed to expect in this priceclass.

Free WiFi a definite plus. Breakfast, although simple, was enough to get you through to lunch. Floors were noisy...

Friendly and accommodating staff, nice breakfast, spotlessly clean room, nice bathroom, good location. Noise travels too easily from the corridors and from the floor upstairs. The twin room was a little bit too small but no so much that it was a problem.

Good location for central London. Free upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. Whirlpool bath. Helpful, friendly staff. Left luggage facility. Breakfast was adequate however for the price of the rooms some ham and hard boiled eggs would have been good.

Our rooms were different, the double was small but with a beautiful balcony, the triple room was more comfortable as it was bigger. Very close to Notting Hill underground station, in a peaceful and quiet zone. The staff was very kind.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was well designed and a good size. 1. The soundproofing between floors was very poor. This meant that it sounded like elephants walking accross the floor above us (don't think they were intentionally stomping!) 2. We stayed in room 8, there was an intermittent loud buzzing noise every 20 seconds until after 1am which was very disturbing. 3. Room 8 was also situated right next to the area where staff go to smoke so we were awoken at 7am on a saturday morning to the smell of cigarette smoke (even though the window was open) and a full rundown of the staff member's exercise regime! 4. Whilst I'm on a roll the bed was quite hard, but this may well be personal preference!
