Rooms very clean and modern. Very friendly and helpful staff. Slightly noisy at night as rooms right above bar and restaurant.

Modern clean room Comfortable bed No resident staff Breakfast facilities poor, stale food left for you to heat up. Poor menu in pub restaurant Worst fish and chips ever! Very over priced, considering no service offered. I was ripped off!

Not a lot... The heating (small radiator) was put on after I checked in. Room was freezing all night and I had to wear a tammy hat to keep my head warm.

I have stayed in many hotels in and around Aberdeen City as I travel up a lot for business purposes and this is by far one of the cleanest, friendliest and best value for money I have stayed in so far. The only thing that was slightly anoying was the inhouse pub/bar downstairs as I was staying in the room directly above. I needed a good sleep after travelling around all day but the music was very loud and kept me wake until the bar closed around 12midnight. The staff did explain the bar closed at 12 when I arrived so there was no need to complain although maybe another room would have been quieter if situated further away from the bar. It wouldn't stop me from returning though.

Staff were lovely and the rooms was very modern No chance of having a cooked breakfast, just a DIY buffet style on the landing between the rooms. There was a decent choice but the option to have a proper breakfast would have been nice.

I paid £210 for two overnight stays my room was ok but my on-suite facilities were across the corridor which I found quite starnge also there is only a small area for self service breakfast which at paying £105 per night I would have thought breakfast should be available in the restaraunt

Rooms were very comfortable, bathroom excellent. Great shower. Good bar and restaurant. There is no breakfast service. Guests help themselves to a continental breakfast from a kitchenette upstairs. It is then required that you eat it in your room and then put your dishes in the dish washer (bit like a hostel). I am not against continental breakfasts or the self service concept but in my opinion what was on offer did not justify the price in comparrison to other hotels in the area. A real shame considering the high standard of the room and the effort that is obviously being put in.

The owner made us very welcome. We were attending a wedding at Meldrum House Hotel and we could not have been better placed, only seven miles from the hotel. The food at the Newmachar was excellent, very good chef. All in all my husband and I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Room immaculate, well decorated. Bathroom clean, good shower. Breakfast facilities basic - alcove on landing. No sugar in tin provided - couldn't find anyone to ask for some on Sunday morning at 9.45am. All downstairs rooms locked and dark.
