In need of a coat of paint in the rooms. Found 'old' chips under the bed
Location. Staff very helpful and polite. The Italian man extremely nice and helpful. His gaelic very good too!
Outside appearance a little offputting.
Very friendly and hospitable cleaning staff! Room was clean and nice, although the shower was a bit small.
The 274 bus route ran straight outside the B&B & goes straight into Camden Town and the opposite way into Angel and runs until midnight! Secure door with code to get into late at night Bedroom and Bathroom very clean Nice continental breakfast with lots of variety
No fan / aircon in bedroom so had to leave window open to cool the room down when you sleep because triple room was situated on the main road so noise from the traffic was loud.
location was good, was easy to get buses into town.
heat in room made it unbearable to sleep and there was only a small fan which was no good. bathroom was tiny and breakfast was poor not a lot of choice.
Most places in London on the weekend of the Emirates cup was 150 quid a night this was half the price and is located in a great place not far from arsenals ground kings cross and camden.
Travelling up 3 flights of stairs after a few pints lol
Staff let us check in a little early, were very accommodating with our requests. The room was good for a one night stay and very reasonable for centre of London. Great transport links by bus and the breakfast was huge and really varied.
Not much! For the price it was the best you can get
Room was very swish for a pub room, had new TV, good shower, tea and coffee in the room was fantastic, also you could take the breakfast back to your room to eat it!
Night time staff were really rude!!! Stairs were narrow and the floor creaked, everytime someone came home in the night you could hear them, couple next door was having sex and could hear through thin walls.
Friendly staff and a good breakfast but value for money wasn't good. I booked on last minute.com so only paid sixty for what should have apparently been £130. I was disappointed with room at £60 so if I'd have paid £130 I'd have been disgusted
I searched for a property to stay in whilst I was in London for two days on a course. When I found New Market Ale House I was really pleased as although still expensive, compared to other nearby properties it wasn't too bad. When I arrived there was a Brazilian World Cup party going on and it was so loud! I did worry I'd made a mistake but by half 11 it was totally quiet and it wasn't a problem. Everyone was very friendly and the room was perfect and incredibly clean. Location was good with taxi rank opposite and friendly newsagents next door. Would definitely stay again and/or recommend to others.
Although the shower was really powerful the drain was blocked meaning it filled up very quickly and I had to keep turning the shower off whilst it drained away. I'm sure this could have been sorted with Mr Muscle if I'd mentioned it though!
Clean, quiet even with window open, very friendly staff. Excellent location for King's Cross & St. Pancras International. Booking made on behalf of friends from abroad.
Downstairs bar was very noisy (but it was the night of Brazil's epic World Cup defeat ....), and the noise did not permeate upstairs.
The breakfast The room size The shower had warm water New towels and cleaning everyday
The internet was really bad Could use a nice round of cleaning Not enough closet space (+more hangers) Could use one more shelve No coat rack
location, friendly staff excellent breakfast.
dirty stair carpet!
The shower was clean and functional (hot water and good showerhead) The 24-hour access was secure and easily accessible
Tiny room, sink too small to wash hands without overflowing, toilet up against wall no room for legs, window opened one inch at the bottom making the room an oven, construction outside from 08:01. Felt like a prison cell. Was in shower when maid came; never came back; room not cleaned, bed not made and towel not changed.
Firstly, the staff at the hotel (including the lady who served breakfast) were all very nice and would go out of their way to help you. The hotel is on the top of a pub, but you wouldnt know it. There was world cup celebrations down stairs, but in our room you could not here anything. It was perfect. The facilities were small, but you could fit everything you need too and plus you are only there to sleep. It was cleaned daily.
Location is a little out of the city. We mastered catching the bus (there is a bus stop just down the road-1 minute walk) to kings cross station and then a bus or train to the city. We did walk a few times but it just took too long.
David was fantastic , friendly , very flexible with checkout times and put our cases in storage while we went to camden shopping. Couldn't do enough to help. Room was clean and spacious for 3 women sharing.
We found the hotel a bit too far from camden, no nearby tube and a bit too far to walk for us in the rain ut David accommodated us by calling a cab each time .
Quite place lovely for few drinks staff we're so nice and helpful food was amazing rooms were amazing everything was perfect. 10/10 nd will recommend it to everyone :-) will be bak soon!!! McNamaras from Ireland :)
Didn't feel safe in location, 15 min walk to town, had to use taxi to get back as not safe at night in area. Room was tiny an like an oven! Came back covered in bites from the bed! Shower changed from freezing to burning while u were under it. Breakfast had no fruit or cheese, stale/hard croissants. Staff were rude, guy in reception had headphones on an didn't acknowledge us or show any help/advise about the local area. Would never stay here again and would advise others to avoid at all costs!
very good value for money
only half hour walk from station, shop downstairs, clean rooms, staff were friendly, breakfast OK although toasters didn't work :) attached to a pub felt safe as keypad to get in building as well as key to room
noise, smallest bathroom ever and im small! overhead shower but no shower cap provided. no soap on sink. really cheap bedsheets so makes you sweat.
Room was clean and well setup. Excellent food and convenient Pub.
A little noisy at night from the bar downstairs.
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, the location was great for seeing Camden market and the zoo and the hotel was close to transport links to kings cross which was only around a ten minuet walk away anyway. It was clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable.
Rude and unhelpful staff. They will also try to nickle and dime you as much as possible. Dont stay here.
Basic, but clean. Really nice staff. Nice breakfast
Lot of noises at night
Good location, comfortable room, good breakfast included. I liked the atmosphere.....definitely felt like we were in London!!
Bathroom was tiny but adequate. Awkward to lug a big suitcase up the narrow stairs but it's all part of the experience of a character hotel like this.
