Comfortable bed. Nice food. Quiet. Nice views
Too hot in the room. Not sure if back door closed properly - felt a bit insecure. Hard to get to if there are road works.
helpful and friendly staff, excellent breakfast
the location was a bit isolated
Friendly staff, great food, good location far enough away from the town to be quiet, but close enough to everything to make it a great stay
Newmarkt inn was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. We had the carvery for our evening meal and cooked breakfast - food was superb!!
No dislikes at all.
Clean comfortable room and very pleasant staff
Beef curry (evening meal) not at all good in contrast with vegetable baked potatoe which one of us had
The smart new bedrooms and bathrooms that looked brand new. Good quality TV. Friendly helpful staff. Easy access to A27 but despite being close to road, there was no noticeable noise.
difficult to find anything worth mentioning.
Polite staff, room was very clean, comfortable bed and the furniture was good quality.Free wi fi, reasonably priced. Good choice at breakfast.
Disappointed with the curry we chose for dinner(the carvery would have been a better choice). Our room was over the kitchen so noise of the extractor fans was quite loud.
The breakfast was excellent
Comfy bed, good wifi, good-size room, pleasant and spacious bathroom with bath and good, strong shower - shame about the clingy shower curtain.
Hotel is close to busy road; one window had no curtains and the other didn't shut out light fully so car headlights were very disturbing. Glad we didn't need to open the windows as it was cold - the traffic noise would have been terrible. Access to and from main road is rather award, which wasn't clearly identified in the booking info. Inadequate shower curtain spoilt an otherwise good shower.
The location is very handy for Brighton about a 10 minute drive the bedroom was very clean & tidy with a comfy bed,2 good beers on tap Doom Bar & Guinness, the breakfast was very good and kept me going until the afternoon overall a nice place to stay at a reasonable price.
Great all round. Modern comfortable room. Well portioned reasonable food. Very friendly helpful staff.
The bed was comfy, the bar and dining prices are very reasonable. Good access to public transport (although you have to stand in the middle of the lay-by to get the bus to stop on the Lewes-Brighton line and you have to play chicken with the A27 to cross the road as there is no way to stop the traffic).
The bathroom was freezing and the shower leaked, there were marks on the bedding and the room was very small. The walls are thin so you can here everything from the neighbouring rooms and the hall way. The carvery was okay but the I would not recommend having the gammon as it was very salty.
Free wifi and freeview television service. Honest pub grub, good breakfast.
Decor is a bit tired and dated
Handy location, good value, comfortable bed, superb shower pressure!
Unable to turn radiator on, room remained cold
Close to AMEX Stadium Free WiFi Connection
The hotel could do with a bit of more cleanliness and improving the quality of the food. We also had trouble cancelling the 2nd night of our stay although the required 72 hrs notice period for this was given. As a company we need to be flexible enough to change reservations. I understand that with the existing terms & conditions the hotel would need payment for the first night, however it should be more flexible on any subsequent nights, especially if these were cancelled within the notice period.
Clean room with very comfortable bed. Quiet, although near to main road. Breakfast service was v efficient and full English was hot and tasty. Excellent shower. Great location & easy to find. Staff were attentive and efficient.
Room a bit small but for one night this was not a problem. Whole place had a bit of a 1970's feel about it but because it was clean and comfortable this was OK.
Very good value for money, especially for a solo traveller.
You do need a car to get there.
Ideally placed just a few minutes from the University of Sussex campus, nice atmosphere, pub downstairs if we wanted a meal or a drink.
Bedroom was a little hot (and the radiator control was not working).
Mattress was very hard. Breakfast was pretty poor - underdone (greyish) sausages, fatty bacon, very fatty fried bread, fatty scrambled egg (yes really!). Landlord unable to smile at us even once.
Manager was very friendly and helpful. Carvery food excellent and very well priced.
nothing to dislike really
Quietness of the area and comfort of the bed
Not really a bad experience, just after a day of rushing around wanted to come back to room and relax watching tv, but it wasn't working and no phone in room to ask for assistance
Convenient, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Excellent value.
Good location, excellent room and facilities, wifi good. Breakfast excellent.
