Hotel is in a good location in jesmond which is a lovely area, west jesmond metro is 5 mins walk away and only 3 stops right into centre.the bar in hotel was good at the weekend, lively nice crowd in it,jesmond dene park which is stunning is 10 mins walk away.got a taxi back to hotel from the city centre after night out and only acout 6 pound.the night porter in hotel even ordered us food from a takeaway in the city after night out and hungry with nothing opened around.good value for money in a great area away and still close to city. There was a bit of smell in bathroom from what seemed like a leak but cleared up.

A trip down memory lane. Allocated a none refurbished room and had to keep passing the workmen to and from our room. We werenot informed that the refurb was underway and that our room was right next to the alterations. This did not effect the stay.

We have stayed here before and the staff are always very helpful and friendly, some of the rooms are a little dated, but this time they upgraded us (with out us asking) to one of their newly refurbished rooms which was excellent.

The friendly staff and the location made this an altogether pleasant experience. Refurbishment is in progress and is required, but what I have seen of the new look, is fantastic.

The Staff were brilliant and very helpful. The Hotel floor I was stopping on was having a full refurbishment and the Decorators were on the corridor , when I got home I must have brushed the wall which I didn't know was wet and my Jacket was covered at the back in white paint , I know I should have been more careful but didn't know the walls were wet. Just a comment , i'm sure if I had known and mentioned it to the Staff , who were great , they would have done something about it.

The staff were extremely friendly, especially on reception. The room decor was a little dated but had comfortable beds and was okay for space. Great location in a very nice area.

Staff were very helpful and far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but trip to centre was quick and cheap! The room was a little dark, but apart from that everything was just what we needed.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff is very kind and friendly. The hotel is only 5 minutes walking from West Jesmond Metro Station. Also there is a bus stop and a taxi rank just in front of the hotel.

The very warm reception from the friendly staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. Helpful in arranging cabs to a wedding that we were attending. General thing with all hotels is that my wife has a back problem and we have yet to find a bed that matches ours at home.

Good location, good bar attached, enjoyed our stay. Near enough to town for a night out. I booked a double room, but their idea of a double bed was two singles pushed together, and ended up sleeping in the crack all night! You get what you pay for! Lots of builders and painters in on our floor, so not good if your after a bit of luxury, sure it'll be nice when finished.

The staff were excellent. Despite staying at the week-end when we did expect some noise from other guests-there was a large group of men staying.- the staff kept control of the situation. The receptionist even deducted a charge from our bill for any disruption caused. Would stay again.

The location suited our visit. The staff and especially the receptionist were very pleasant and helpful. There was a mistake with our booking and we were in rooms 305 and 306. 306 did not have a shower curtain, so had to use 305 which was where my daughter was staying.

Friendly staff, bath, lots of hot water, warm room Room was a bit small for the cost; kettle in room wasn't near an electric point; breakfast toast would have been better if cooked on both sides!

We were welcome by Andrea, one of the best ever receiptionst I have ever dealt with or seen working. Nothing was a problem, checking in a large family group of 14 people was dealt with in fast real time and any requests we had was no issue from Baby bottles to a late Baby meal. Hotel was a great location, trendy area of Newcastle and Scallini restuarant next store is very popular so book early. Upon our departure Andrea was very helpful in storing our luggage during the day before we departed for our late evening Flight. Thanks Andrea and the New Northumbria hotel Windows at back of hotel need upgrading to double glaze to block out cold and noise
