It was easy to find and close to our venue. The rooms were lovely, clean with plenty of space. Very well equipped room, with a bonus of iron & board also provided. |

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Decent shower. Good location. Consistancy of breakfast presentation. Saturday morning, perfect, Sunday morning a mess (badly presented, soggy hash brown and tinned tomato compared to the fresh tomato of the day before) |

Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were adequate. Overall the room was clean and tidy with a largish plasma television, mini bar/fridge (which is always useful) tea making and iron, all good stuff. |

My friend and I were attending a concert in Newcastle City centre so the location, atmosphere, staff and value for money made our overnight stay very enjoyable. The parking was very limited, however we were very fortunate to obtain a space for the duration of our stay. |

good sized room and good facilities.Room was not noisy at night. small and inconvenient lift, small car park, car was nudged. Lots of hen nights and stag dos, noisy bars, so probably not suitable for those seeking peace and quiet. |

It was well appointed, if maze-like! We were treated very well. Very convivial. It was rather warm in the room, with little ventilation, and the lift was too small to use. |

This hotel is modern and the interior is both bright and welcoming. The location is excellent for the bars of Jesmond or a short journey in to the city centre. |

Breakfast was great and the staff were really friendly at this hotel. The rooms looked like they needed updating - the curtains were too thin and let too much light in. The hotel rooms were above a VERY busy bar garden and so it could not be described as peaceful. There was a lot of noise on the street at night and we had a disturbed sleep. |

I / we needed to find a new hotel. I had been using The Grosvenor snice 1992 and myself and wife since 2001, The Grosvenor had closed down Dec 2008 so we needed to find a new hotel. Will definitely use the New Northumbria next year providing we can book. |

Location. They changed my room after I complained about the one allocated (it had an the restaurant extractor vent concealed in the corner which sounded like being near an airport runway). The first receptionist said "it's OK because it switches off at 11 O'clock" but they did move me when I persisted. Second room was fine. Reception friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK but not great. |

The carpet that previous guests had commented about was not as bad as stated !! Sunday lunch was cold. Prices for in hotel room hospitality were a bit excessive - £1.10 for a 4 bar kit-kat !! Breakfast - we were just shown to our table & asked if we wanted tea or coffee & full english - juices & cereals were not explained - i.e. service or self. Think the waiter had the 'monday morning' feeling - not very welcoming. |

It's located in the nice suburb of Jesmond- a quick taxi/ metro ride to the city centre. It's well catered for large groups ( we went on a stag weekend) with many bars and resturants in the area. The interior of the room i stayed was a bit dated and wouldn't be as plush as a modern hotel room. Having said that it was quite comfortable and catered for what we were looking for. |
