The New President Hotel was Great Value for money, my colleagues and I were very impressed, and will certainly use it again and again. We were a little late for Breakfast :( but were merely told sorry thats it, I asked for a coffee cup three times, so at least I could have a coffee :( unfortunately it never arrived, but it wouldnt put me off. I'll just get up earlier next time.

Staff / Food ok Location ok . Everything fair to godd. Only complaint I had been given a price of £135.00 for a three night stay for a single room I then changed it to a twin room as my friend wanted to come , we were then charged an extra £20.00 £145.00 each when I questioned it I was told that it was because I had changed my booking and I was being put into a sea view. When I challenged this I was met with a very irate women shouting down the phone at me that that is there policy and I could either take it or leave it. ( I Dont think this would have happened if they had not got my deposit )we didnt have a sea view it was what they called a side view upon asking. I got round this by hanging out of the window and looking to the right!!

Although our room was dated and had no view or shower (it did have a bath), it was clean. The reception staff were very helpful and the restaurant manager could not do enough for us. The bar staff were pleasant although we only had one drink before we pursued our own activities. The food was that of a top class hotel and well worth paying for if you have not booked for that. We made use of the swimming pool at the Hilton. We also had family staying for one night and they were put in the room next to us and there room although had same view did have a shower. We would definately come back We were unable to park on arrival which was not ideal but we did find parking on a local street.

The staff were very helpful, polite manner. I didn't like the squeaky floors, also the walls were very thin and other guests could be heard through them,

good breakfast with plenty of choice and helpful staff throughout the stay poor bar area upon arrival, had to walk through a full busy dinning room. Staff seemed over stretched but very pleasant and there are improvements ongoing so a bit of disruption with that that i wasn't told about upon booking. Credit card facilities not working and was asked to pay in cash. Not as good as other hotels in the vicinity priced at similar rate of £70 for a double room. Not even a bedside lamp. TV very fuzzy unwatchable, same in my friends room as well

“On arrival we were made extremely welcome and we felt very at home straight away. The room was very pleasant and the facilities were very good. Kath was always pleasant and always had time for a quick chat. If you like a good traditional breakfast you won't be disappointed, it was excellent. It was a very enjoyable experience which I hope to repeat.” Ron, Hayle Cornwall |
