Score from 233 reviews Very good
The Ibis Styles Blackpool is a splendid Grade II heritage-listed building. It has a great location, across from North Pier on the popular seafront. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
Score from 816 reviews Good
This family-run seafront hotel has a free Wi-Fi connection and superb views of the Irish Sea from the bar, restaurant and many of its recently refurbished rooms.
Score from 99 reviews Wonderful
On the beach front, the 2-star Chequers Plaza Hotel looks out over Queen’s Promenade to the Irish Sea. It has free Wi-Fi, free limited parking and excellent full English breakfasts.
Score from 249 reviews Good
food was good
advertised wifi in all areas. when i asked in reception there was no wi fi above the 1st floor and my room was on the 3rd. this was an important criteria for me as i has work to do that evening
Staff were very friendly Breakfast was good
Too far away from centre for us No croissants for breakfast
Lovely hotel, comfy beds, good food, in an excellent position. Very pleasant staff, we hope to return there in the future.
The lift was too small for the size of the hotel. Would have liked wifi everywhere, rather than just on ground level.
Breakfast was only good thing
Went with my disabled mother for 3 night stay. Lift only suitable for 2 people. Definitely not suitable for disabled people with wheelchairs. Corridors too narrow for wheelchairs TVs didn't work in both rooms for the duration of our stay. High winds too blame. No heating in rooms. Manager said heating only turned on for 2hrs morning and night. Fair enough you don't expect wind and rain in August however to advertise this hotel as disabled friendly is pretty poor. The hotel caters for national bus holidays and obvisiously older people therefore should have better disabled facilities and a lift that caters for wheelchairs
The staff went above and beyond from the moment we arrived, they made us feel very welcome. There was something on every night in the bar area. Housekeeping was done every day (a service I didn't expect at this price). Excellent buffet breakfast or cereals every morning. What more could you ask for, I would not hesitate to go back to this hotel when I am back in Blackpool. We had a problem with the lights on our second night there, and the staff could not have been more helpful. They apologised about the problem and moved us to a bigger and better room all at no extra cost. This is how all customer service should be done. I cant thank them enough for the wonderful time they gave us. The staff are a credit to the hotel.
The only problem I did have and it is a very SMALL problem is that, the wi-fi could only be reached on the first and ground floor. As I said this is only a very small problem, but trying to keep a 10 year old off of the laptop is a challenge itself. (but it did make it easy to blame the Wi-Fi for him not being able to use it) so every cloud....
The public areas were clean. Breakfast excellent value. Fresh and hot. Entertainment was a bonus.
The bedrooms were not thoroughly cleaned between bookings. There were marks in the toilet and smatters of blood on tiles. We also disliked having to walk through smokers to enter the building.
we loved absolutely everything about the hotel. the staff were so pleasant and friendly, the food was fresh and well presented.the room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and we had a sea view, woop woop.we would recommend this hotel very highly
we really found no fault with this hotel.
Upgraded to a sea view room FOC!
Night time entertainment was essential with young children. Enjoyed by all the family. I think quiz, bingo, stage show and a bit singing from the very we'll mannered compere. Keep it up
Handy for the bus and tram stops. Staff polite and helpful,
Being an older building the floors and the beds creaked, not best suited for those with wheelchairs. Food was average,
the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was small but clean.breakfast was also value for money
the lift too small for size of hotel also the outside does not do justice to the inside
All of it
Second sitting if breakfast .wasnt always enough found to go round all residents.so some things you had to go without
Love the staff couldn't have been anymore helpful. Food was excellent! Entertainment was absolutely fab! Thank you so much for a great stay!!
Can't fault anything with this hotel at all. Superb!
I booked 3 rooms as we were travelling as 2 couples and a teenager and i asked for the rooms to be next to each other. We were allocated a side corridor with 3 rooms together. The bar and restaurant makes the hotel look more of a 4 star than a 2 star. All staff were friendly & helpful. Great location with tram stop right outside. We have stayed in a few of the large hotels in blackpool and the new president was by far the best
Friendly staff and nice rooms with wet rooms
Only onw small lift
Great location,quiet rooms.
Restaurant staff hovering round the tables waiting to take plates away as soon as you had your last mouthful. Didnt feel like a relaxing leisurely breakfast.
The staff. Good breakfast. Good entertainment
Could do with a comfortable lounge area with settees and armchairs. Only a small area of these. Dinner overrated
The receptionist on arrival and leaving was wonderful. Extremely helpful and friendly throughout my stay. Friendly gentleman on Saturday afternoon too. Loved the entertainment of an evening. Tickety Boo were on the Saturday and I'm really sorry but I don't remember the young lady and gentleman who were there Sunday, but she had a lovely singing voice, even joined at 1 point by her friend, who helped boost the evening. Sea view, just smashing.
1 of the waitresses on the Sunday morning was a bit abrupt, made me feel like I should have gone all inclusive not just B&B. Lift played up at times, quicker use the stairs.
Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff on reception were very welcoming and even the night porter cracked a joke when i returned in the early hours. Dining room staff could use a little customer service training. Overall for around £33 a night i got exactly what i wanted and needed.
Lack of Wi-Fi
The hotel was fab and had a good couple of nights stay, as i was a lone female traveling with a 15 year old daughter i was very comfortable with the environment and the staff.
The wifi was great but could only use it in the main reception floor and having a teenage daughter i didnt want her wandering the hotel to use the internet, but the wifi was well covered and useful.
the pleasent welkom from reception staff, my room was ready and very comfable, i did want to upgrade but sadle hotel was full will try again in the futare.
mad rush in the resturant coach party quing up 20 minuits befor opening, seating was no to my liking everything was a rush food very good staff very good outerwise overal good

Buffet style breakfast was a plus
